Salmos 38
1 Oh Señor, no me reprendas en tu ira; no dejes que tu mano esté sobre mí en el calor de tu furor.
A Melody of David. To bring to Remembrance. O Yahweh, do not, in thine anger, correct me, nor, in thy wrath, chastise me;
2 porque tus flechas han entrado en mi carne, y estoy aplastado bajo el peso de tu mano.
For, thine arrows, have sunk down into me, and thy hand, presseth heavily upon me.
3 Mi cuerpo se enferma a causa de tu ira; y no hay paz en mis huesos a causa de mi pecado.
There is no soundness in my flesh, By reason of thine indignation, There is no peace in my bones, By reason of my sin;
4 Porque mis crímenes han pasado por mi cabeza; son como un gran peso que no puedo soportar.
For, mine iniquities, have passed over my head, Like a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me:
5 Mis heridas están envenenadas y malolientes, debido a mi comportamiento necio.
My wounds are of bad odour—they have festered, by reason of my folly:
6 Estoy preocupado en gran manera, voy cabizbajo y deprimido; Voy llorando todo el día.
I am bent, I am bowed down very low. All the day, have I gloomily walked;
7 Porque mi cuerpo está lleno de ardor; toda mi carne no es saludable.
For, my loins, are filled with inflammation, and there is no soundness in my flesh:
8 Soy débil y molido en gran manera; Lancé un grito como un león a causa del dolor en mi corazón.
I am benumbed and crushed exceedingly, —I have cried aloud because of the groaning of my heart.
9 Señor, todo mi deseo está delante de ti; mi dolor no se mantiene en secreto de ti.
O My Lord! before thee, is all my longing, and, my sighing, from thee, hath not been hid:
10 Mi corazón se desmaya, mi fuerza se está consumiendo; en cuanto a la luz de mis ojos, se ha ido de mí.
My heart, fluttereth, my strength hath forsaken me, and, as for the light of mine eyes, even they, are not with me:
11 Mis compañeros y mis amigos se mantienen alejados de mi enfermedad; mis parientes se mantienen muy lejos.
My lovers, and my friends, from before my stroke, stand aloof, —and, my near ones, far away, do stand:
12 Aquellos que tienen un deseo de quitarme la vida me ponen redes; aquellos que están tramando mi destrucción dicen cosas malas en mi contra, todo el día sus mentes medirán fraudes todo el día.
Yea they who are seeking my life, have laid snares, and they who are asking my harm, have threatened engulfing ruin, And, deceitful things—all day long, do they mutter.
13 Pero yo mantuve mis oídos cerrados como un hombre sin oír; como un hombre sin voz, sin abrir la boca.
But, I, as one deaf, will not hear, —and as one dumb, who will not open his mouth:
14 Así que era como un hombre que tiene los oídos cerrados, y en cuya boca no hay represiones.
Thus have I become as a man who cannot hear, in whose mouth are no arguments:
15 En ti, oh Señor, está mi esperanza; tú me darás una respuesta, oh Señor, Dios mío.
Because, for thee, O Yahweh, have I waited, Thou, wilt answer, O Adonay, my God!
16 Y dije: No se alegren de mí; cuando mi pie resbale, que no se levanten con orgullo contra mí.
For I said, Lest they rejoice over me! When my feet were tottering, against me, have they magnified themselves:
17 Mis pies están a punto de caerse, y mi dolor está siempre delante de mí.
For, I, to halt, am ready, and, my pain, is before me continually;
18 Confesaré mi maldad, con dolor en mi corazón por mi pecado.
For, mine iniquity, will I declare, I shall be anxious because of my sin;
19 Porque mis enemigos están vivos y fuertes, los que me odian sin causa; los que están contra mí sin causa son aumentados en número.
And, my foes, are alive—have become strong, —and multiplied are they who hate me for false cause:
20 Me devuelven mal por bien; son mis enemigos porque persigo lo que es correcto.
Even they who are repaying evil for good, accuse me because I pursue the good.
21 No me abandones, oh Señor; Dios mío, quédate cerca de mí.
Do not forsake me, O Yahweh, My God! be not far from me:
22 Ven pronto a darme ayuda, oh Señor, mi salvación.
Make haste to help me, My Lord, my deliverance!
