Salmos 37
1 No te enojes por causa de los malhechores, ni tengas envidia de los que hacen maldad.
David’s. [An Alphabetical Psalm.] Burn not with vexation because of evil-doers, Be not envious of the workers of perversity;
2 Porque pronto serán cortados como hierba, y se secarán como las plantas verdes.
For, like grass, soon shall they wither, and, like green herbage, shall they fade.
3 ten fe en el Señor y haz el bien; vive en la tierra, y busca la justicia.
Trust in Yahweh, and do good, Dwell in the land, and feed on fidelity;
4 Deléitate en el Señor, y él te dará los deseos de tu corazón.
Yea, rest thy delight on Yahweh, that he may give thee the requests of thy heart.
5 Pon tu vida en las manos del Señor; confía en él; y él lo hará.
Roll on Yahweh thy way, Trust also in him, and, he, will effectually work:
6 Y hará que tu justicia se vea como la luz, y tu causa como el resplandor del sol.
So will he bring forth, as the light, thy righteousness, and thy vindication as the noonday.
7 Descansa en el Señor, esperando en silencio a que él te ayude; no te enojes por el hombre que prospera en sus caminos y por él que hace planes Malvados.
Be resigned to Yahweh, yea wait with longing for him; Burn not with vexation at him who prospereth in his way, —at the man who doeth wickedness.
8 Pon fin a tu ira y no seas más amargo; no cedas al sentimiento de enojo que es la causa del pecado.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath, Burn not with vexation—[it would be] only to do evil;
9 Porque los impíos serán destruidos; más los que esperan en Jehová tendrán la tierra por heredad.
For, evil doers, shall be cut off, but, as for them who wait for Yahweh, they, shall inherit the earth.
10 Porque en poco tiempo el malvado se irá: irás en busca de su lugar, y no estará allí.
Yet a little, therefore, and the lawless one shall not be, Yea thou shalt look about, over his place—and he shall have vanished!
11 Mas los gentiles tendrán la tierra por heredad; se deleitarán en la paz sin medida.
But, the patient oppressed-ones, shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves over the abundance of prosperity.
12 El pecador tiene planes malos contra los rectos, levantando la voz de ira contra él.
Plotting is the lawless one, against the just, and gnashing upon him with his teeth.
13 El Señor se burlará de él, porque sabe que al malvado se le acerca su hora.
My Lord, shall laugh at him, for he seeth, that his day, will come.
14 Los malvados sacaron sus espadas, sus arcos doblados; para aplastar a los pobres y para matar a los que son rectos en sus caminos.
A sword, have the lawless, drawn out, and have trodden their bow, —To bring down the oppressed and the needy, To slaughter the upright in life:
15 Pero su propia espada entrará en su propio corazón, y sus arcos se romperán.
Their sword, shall enter into their own heart, and, their bow, shall be broken.
16 Lo poco que tiene el hombre bueno es mejor que la riqueza de los malhechores.
Better the little of the righteous man, than the abundance of the lawless who are mighty;
17 Porque las armas de los malvados se romperán; pero el Señor es el sostén de los buenos.
For, the arms of the lawless, shall be broken, But Yahweh is upholding the righteous.
18 Los días de los rectos son contados por el Señor, y su heredad será para siempre.
Yahweh knoweth the days of the blameless, that, their inheritance, unto times age-abiding, shall continue.
19 No serán avergonzados en el mal tiempo, y en los días cuando todos necesitan comida, tendrán suficiente.
They shall not be ashamed in the time of calamity, and, in the days of famine, shall they be filled.
20 Mas los malhechores vendrán a la perdición, y los que aborrecen a Jehová serán como la grasa de los corderos, y serán quemados; ellos se convertirán en humo, y nunca más serán vistos.
For, the lawless, shall perish, and, the foes of Yahweh, be like the glory of the meadows, They have vanished! In smoke, have they vanished!
21 El pecador toma dinero y no lo devuelve; pero el hombre recto tiene misericordia y da a los demás.
A lawless man borroweth, and will not repay, But, a righteous man, showeth favour and giveth;
22 Los que tienen la bendición del Señor tendrán la tierra por su herencia; pero los que son malditos por él serán cortados.
For, such as are blessed of him, shall inherit the earth, But, the cursed of him, shall be cut off.
23 El Señor ordena los pasos de un hombre bueno y se deleita en su camino.
From Yahweh, are the steps of a man made firm, When, with his way, he is well pleased:
24 Aunque tenga una caída, no estará sin ayuda, porque la mano del Señor lo está apoyando.
Though he fall, he shall not be hurled headlong, For, Yahweh, is holding his hand.
25 He sido joven, y ahora soy viejo, pero no he visto al hombre bueno sin ayuda, ni a sus hijos mendigando por pan.
Young, have I been, moreover am old, —Yet have I not seen, A righteous man forsaken, Nor his seed begging bread:
26 En Todo tiempo está listo para tener misericordia y dar; su descendencia son una bendición.
All day long, is he showing favour and lending, his seed, therefore, shall have a blessing.
27 Apártate del mal, y haz el bien; y vivirás para siempre.
Turn from evil, and do good, and so settle down, unto times age-abiding.
28 Porque el Señor es amante de la justicia, y cuida de sus santos; se mantendrán seguros para siempre; pero la simiente de los malhechores será cortada.
For, Yahweh, loveth justice, and will not forsake his men of lovingkindness, Unto times age-abiding, have the perverse been destroyed, —and the seed of the lawless, been cut off.
29 Los rectos tendrán la tierra por su herencia, y vivirán allí para siempre.
The righteous, shall inherit the earth, that they may settle down, to futurity, thereupon.
30 La boca del hombre bueno dice palabras de sabiduría; la charla de su lengua es de justicia.
The mouth of a righteous man, softly uttereth wisdom, and, his tongue, speaketh justice:
31 La ley de su Dios está en su corazón; por tanto; sus pies no resbalaran.
The law of his God, is in his heart, his steps shall not swerve.
32 Los pecadores están mirando al hombre recto, queriendo matarlo.
The lawless man, lieth in wait, for the just, and seeketh to put him to death:
33 El Señor no lo dará en sus manos, ni estará contra él cuando sea juzgado.
Yahweh, will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him, when he is judged.
34 Espera al Señor, y sigue su camino; y serás levantado, y tendrás la tierra por tu herencia: cuando los malhechores sean cortados. tú lo verás.
Wait for Yahweh, and observe thou his path, that he may exalt thee, to inherit the earth, On the cutting off of the lawless, shalt thou look.
35 He visto al malhechor enaltecido, cubriendo la tierra como un árbol frondoso.
I have seen a lawless man, a tyrant, and spreading himself out, like a cedar in Lebanon;
36 Pero llegó a su fin, y no hubo señales de él; Hice una búsqueda por él y él no estaba allí.
Then I passed by, and lo! he had vanished! Yea I sought him, but he could not be found.
37 Presta atención al buen hombre, y toma nota del recto; porque el final dichoso de ese hombre es la paz.
Mark the blameless man, and behold the upright, for there is a hereafter for the man of peace;
38 Pero en cuanto a los pecadores, serán cortados juntos; el final de los malhechores es la destrucción.
But, transgressors, are to be destroyed together, the hereafter of lawless men, is to be cut off.
39 Pero el Señor es el salvador de los justos; él es su fortaleza en el tiempo de angustia.
But, the deliverance of the righteous, is from Yahweh, their refuge in a time of distress.
40 Y el Señor los ayudará, y los salvará; los sacará de las manos de los malhechores, y será su salvador, porque confiaron en él.
Thus hath Yahweh helped them, thus hath he delivered them, —He will deliver them from the lawless, and will save them, because they have sought refuge in him.
