Salmos 36
1 El pecado del malhechor dice en su corazón: No hay temor del Señor ante sus ojos.
[Wicked people continually desire to] sin. They consider [IDM] that they do not need to revere God.
2 Porque se consuela pensando que su pecado no será descubierto ni aborrecido.
Because they are very proud, they do not think that God will discover their sins and condemn them (OR, they do not think about their sins and hate themselves for it).
3 En las palabras de su boca están el mal y el engaño; él ha dejado de ser sabio y hacer el bien.
[Everything] that they say is deceitful and full of lies; they no longer do what is good and are no longer wise.
4 Él piensa en el mal sobre su cama; toma un camino que no es bueno; él no es un enemigo del mal.
While they are lying on their beds, they plan to do things to harm [others]; they are determined to do things that are not good, and they never refuse [to do what is] evil.
5 Tu misericordia, oh Señor, llega hasta los cielos, y tu fidelidad alcanza hasta las nubes.
Yahweh, your faithful love for us reaches as high as the heavens, you faithfully [do what you have promised]; [it is as though your doing that] extends up to the clouds.
6 Tu justicia es como los montes de Dios; tu juicio es como el gran abismo; Oh Señor, le cuidas al hombre y a la bestia.
Your righteous behavior is [as permanent as] the highest mountains [MET], your acting justly [will continue as long as] the deepest oceans [exist]. You take care of people and you take care of animals.
7 ¡Cuán buena es tu amorosa misericordia, oh Dios! los hijos de los hombres se esconden bajo la sombra de tus alas.
God, your faithful love for us is very precious. You protect us like birds protect their baby birds under their wings [MET].
8 Las delicias de tu casa serán derramadas sobre ellos; les darás de beber del río de tus placeres.
You provide for us plenty of food from the abundant supply [IDM] that you have; your great blessings for us [flow] like a river.
9 Porque contigo está la fuente de la vida; en tu luz veremos la luz.
You are the one who causes everything to live; your light is what enables us to see.
10 Ojalá no haya fin en tu amorosa misericordia para con los que te conocen, ni tu justicia para con los rectos de corazón.
Continue to faithfully love those who have experienced a relationship with you, and bless those who act righteously/justly.
11 Que el pie del orgullo no venga contra mí, ni la mano de los malvados me saque de mi lugar.
Do not allow proud people [SYN] to attack me, or allow wicked people to chase me away.
12 Allí han descendido los hacedores del mal; han sido humillados y no se levantarán.
Look where evil people have fallen on the ground, defeated; they were thrown down, and they will never rise again.
