Salmos 132

1 Señor, piensa en David y en todos sus problemas;

“A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” O LORD! remember David, And all his affliction!

2 Cómo juró a Jehová, y dio su palabra al gran Dios de Jacob, diciendo:

How he sware to Jehovah, And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

3 Verdaderamente, no entraré en mi casa, ni iré a mi cama,

“I will not go into my house, Nor lie down on my bed,

4 No daré sueño a mis ojos, ni dormiré un solo instante,

I will not give sleep to my eyes, Nor slumber to my eyelids,

5 Hasta que tenga un lugar para el Señor, un lugar de descanso para el gran Dios de Jacob.

Until I find a place for Jehovah, A habitation for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

6 Tuvimos noticias de esto en Efrata: llegamos a él en los campos del bosque.

Behold, we heard of it at Ephratah; We found it in the fields of the forest.

7 Vamos a entrar en su tienda; déjanos adorar a sus pies.

Let us go into his habitation; Let us worship at his footstool!

8 Vuelve, oh Señor, a tu lugar de descanso; tú y el arca de tu fortaleza.

Arise, O LORD! into thy rest, Thou, and the ark of thy strength!

9 Que tus sacerdotes se vistan de justicia; y que tus santos den gritos de alegría.

Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness, And thy holy ones shout for joy!

10 Por amor a tu siervo David, no abandones a tu rey.

For the sake of thy servant David, Reject not the prayer of thine anointed!

11 El Señor le dio un verdadero juramento a David, que no retiró, diciendo: Daré tu reino al fruto de tu cuerpo.

Jehovah hath sworn in truth unto David, And he will not depart from it: “Of the fruit of thy body will I place upon the throne for thee.

12 Si tus hijos cumplen mi palabra y las enseñanzas que yo les daré, sus hijos serán regentes de tu reino para siempre.

If thy children keep my covenant, And my statutes, which I teach them, Their children also throughout all ages Shall sit upon thy throne.”

13 Porque el corazón del Señor está en Sión, deseándolo para su lugar de descanso.

For Jehovah hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it as his dwelling-place.

14 Este es mi descanso para siempre: aquí estaré; porque este es mi deseo.

“This is my resting-place for ever; Here will I dwell, for I have chosen it.

15 Mi bendición será en su comida; y su pobre saciaré de pan.

I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16 Sus sacerdotes serán vestidos de salvación; y sus santos darán gritos de alegría.

I will also clothe her priests with salvation, And her holy ones shall shout aloud for joy.

17 Allí haré fértil el poder de David; he preparado una luz para mi rey.

There will I cause to spring forth a horn for David; I have prepared a light for mine anointed.

18 Sus enemigos se vestirán de vergüenza; pero haré que su corona brille.

His enemies will I clothe with shame, And the crown shall glitter upon his head.”
