Salmos 124

1 Si no hubiera sido el Señor quien estuvo de nuestro lado (que Israel ahora diga);

If it had not been that the Lord was with us, let Israel now say:

2 Si no hubiera sido el Señor quien estuvo de nuestro lado, cuando los hombres vinieron contra nosotros;

If it had not been that the Lord was with us, When men rose up against us,

3 Habrían hecho una comida de nosotros mientras vivíamos, en el calor de su ira contra nosotros:

Perhaps they had swallowed us up alive. When their fury was enkindled against us,

4 Hubiéramos estado cubiertos por las aguas; las corrientes habrían recorrido nuestra alma;

Perhaps the waters had swallowed us up.

5 Sí, las aguas del orgullo habrían pasado por nuestra alma.

Our soul hath passed through a torrent: perhaps our soul had passed through a water insupportable.

6 Alabado sea el Señor, que no nos ha dejado herir con sus dientes.

Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us to be a prey to their teeth.

7 Nuestra alma se ha liberado como un pájaro de la red de los cazadores; la red está rota, y somos libres.

Our soul hath been delivered as a sparrow out of the snare of the followers. The snare is broken, and we are delivered.

8 Nuestra ayuda está en el nombre del Señor, el hacedor del cielo y de la tierra.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
