Salmos 122

1 Me alegré porque me dijeron: Entraremos en la casa del Señor.

A Canticle in steps. I rejoiced in the things that were said to me: “We shall go into the house of the Lord.”

2 Por fin nuestros pies estaban dentro de tus puertas, oh Jerusalén.

Our feet were standing in your courts, O Jerusalem.

3 Oh Jerusalén, tú eres como una ciudad que está bien unida;

Jerusalem has been built as a city, whose participation is unto itself.

4 A los cuales subieron las tribus, las tribus del Señor, para dar testimonio a Israel, para alabar el nombre del Señor.

For to that place, the tribes ascended, the tribes of the Lord: the testimony of Israel, to confess to the name of the Lord.

5 Porque había asientos para los jueces, incluso los asientos de los gobernantes de la línea de David.

For in that place, seats have sat down in judgment, seats above the house of David.

6 Haz oraciones por la paz de Jerusalén; que aquellos cuyo amor te es dado, les vaya bien.

Petition for the things that are for the peace of Jerusalem, and for abundance for those who love you.

7 Que la paz esté dentro de tus muros, y la riqueza en tus casas nobles.

Let peace be in your virtue, and abundance in your towers.

8 Por mis hermanos y amigos, ahora diré: “Que la paz sea contigo”.

For the sake of my brothers and my neighbors, I spoke peace about you.

9 Por amor a la casa del Señor nuestro Dios, estaré trabajando para tu bien.

For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I sought good things for you.
