Salmos 116

1 He entregado mi amor al Señor porque escuchó la voz de mi clamor y mi oración.

I love the Lord because he listens to me, he hears my calls for help.

2 Ha permitido que mi oración venga ante él, y le invocaré él todos mis días.

Because he pays attention to what I say I will pray to him as long as I live.

3 Las redes de la muerte me rodeaban, y los dolores del inframundo me tenían agarrado; Estaba lleno de problemas y tristezas. (Sheol h7585)

I was caught in the snares of death; I was trapped by terrors of the grave. All I experienced was suffering and grief. (Sheol h7585)

4 Entonces oré al Señor, diciendo: Señor, saca mi alma de la angustia.

Then I cried out to the Lord, “Lord, please save me!”

5 El Señor está lleno de gracia y justicia; Verdaderamente, él es un Dios de misericordia.

The Lord is so kind and good! Our God is so compassionate!

6 El Señor guarda a los humildes; Fui humillado, y él fue mi salvador.

The Lord takes care of those who are powerless; when I was brought down he saved me.

7 Vuelve a tu descanso, oh mi alma; porque el Señor te ha dado tu recompensa.

I can once again be at peace because the Lord has been good to me.

8 Has quitado mi alma del poder de la muerte, para que mis ojos no lloren, y mis pies no caigan.

For you have saved me from death, my eyes from crying, and my feet from stumbling.

9 Iré delante de Jehová en la tierra de los vivientes.

Now I can walk with the Lord in the land of the living.

10 Todavía tenía fe, aunque dije, estoy en un gran problema;

I trusted in you, so I told you, “I'm suffering terribly!”

11 Aunque dije en mi temor, Todos los hombres son falsos.

I was so upset that I said, “Everyone's a liar!”

12 ¿Qué le daré al Señor por todas las cosas buenas que él ha hecho por mí?

What can I give the Lord in return for all he's done for me?

13 Tomaré la copa de la salvación y alabaré el nombre del Señor.

I will lift up the cup of salvation and worship the Lord.

14 Haré la ofrenda de mi juramento a Jehová, aun delante de todo su pueblo.

I will keep my promises to the Lord so everyone can see.

15 Querido a los ojos del Señor es la muerte de sus santos.

It hurts the Lord when those who trust in him die.

16 Oh Señor, verdaderamente yo soy tu siervo; Yo soy tu siervo, el hijo de tu sierva; por ti mis cuerdas han sido rotas.

Lord, I really am your slave, serving you as my mother served you before me, yet you have set me free.

17 Te daré una ofrenda de alabanza, y haré mi oración en el nombre del Señor.

I will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to you and I will worship you.

18 Haré las ofrendas de mi juramento, aun delante de todo su pueblo;

I will keep my promises to the Lord so everyone can see,

19 En la casa del Señor, incluso en Jerusalén. Alabado sea el Señor.

there in the house of the Lord, right in Jerusalem. Praise the Lord!
