Proverbios 15
1 Con una respuesta suave, la ira es rechazada, pero una palabra amarga es causa de sentimientos de enojo.
A soft answer turneth away wrath; But harsh words stir up anger.
2 El conocimiento fluye de la lengua del sabio; pero de la boca del insensato viene una corriente de palabras necias.
The tongue of the wise maketh knowledge pleasing; But the mouth of fools poureth forth folly.
3 Los ojos del Señor están en todo lugar, vigilando el mal y el bien.
The eyes of the LORD are in every place; They behold the evil and the good.
4 Una lengua reconfortante es un árbol de la vida, pero una lengua torcida es un aplastamiento del espíritu.
A mild tongue is a tree of life; But perverseness therein is a wound in the spirit.
5 El necio no le da valor al adiestramiento de su padre; pero el que tiene respeto por la enseñanza tiene buen sentido.
The fool despiseth the correction of his father; But he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
6 En la casa del hombre recto hay gran cantidad de riquezas; pero en las ganancias del pecador hay problemas.
In the house of the righteous is much wealth; But in the revenues of the wicked there is trouble.
7 Los labios de los sabios guardan el conocimiento, pero el corazón del necio hace lo contrario.
The lips of the wise spread abroad knowledge; But the heart of the foolish is not sound.
8 La ofrenda del malhechor es repugnante para el Señor, pero la oración del hombre recto es su delicia.
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD; But the prayer of the righteous is his delight.
9 El camino del malhechor es repugnante para el Señor, pero el que va tras la justicia le es querido.
The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD; But him who followeth after righteousness he loveth.
10 Hay un castigo amargo para el que se apartó del camino; y la muerte será el destino del enemigo de la enseñanza.
Sore chastisement shall be to him that forsaketh the way; He that hateth reproof shall die.
11 Ante el Señor está el infierno y la destrucción: ¡cuánto más, entonces, los corazones de los hijos de los hombres! (Sheol h7585)
The underworld, yea, the region of death, is before the LORD; How much more the hearts of the sons of men! (Sheol h7585)
12 El que odia a la autoridad no ama la enseñanza; no irá al sabio.
The scoffer loveth not his reprover; He will not resort to the wise.
13 Un corazón alegre hace una cara resplandeciente, pero por el dolor del corazón, el espíritu se rompe.
A joyous heart maketh a bright countenance; But by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
14 El corazón del hombre de buen sentido va en busca del conocimiento, pero las tonterías son el alimento de los imprudentes.
The heart of the man of understanding seeketh knowledge; But the mouth of fools feedeth on folly.
15 Todos los días de los atribulados son malos; pero aquel cuyo corazón está contento tiene una fiesta interminable.
The days of the afflicted are all evil; But he that hath a cheerful heart hath a continual feast.
16 Mejor es un poco con el temor del Señor, que grandes riquezas junto con problemas.
Better is a little, with the fear of the LORD, Than much treasure, and trouble therewith.
17 Mejor es una comida sencilla donde está el amor, que un buey gordo y odio con él.
Better is a dinner of herbs, where there is love, Than a fatted ox, and hatred therewith.
18 Un hombre enojado hace que los hombres perezcan, pero el que tarda en enojarse pone fin a la lucha.
The passionate man stirreth up strife; But he who is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
19 Las espinas están en el camino del enemigo del trabajo; pero el camino del trabajador duro se convierte en una carretera.
The way of the slothful is as a hedge of thorns; But the way of the righteous is a highway.
20 El hijo sabio alegra al padre, pero el necio no respeta a su madre.
A wise son maketh a glad father; But a foolish man despiseth his mother.
21 El comportamiento necio es alegría para los imprudentes; pero un hombre de buen sentido endereza camino.
Folly is joy to him who lacketh wisdom; But the man of understanding walketh uprightly.
22 Donde no hay sugerencias sabias, los propósitos llegan a nada; pero por multitud de guías sabios se afirman.
Without counsel, plans come to nought; But with a multitude of counsellors they are established.
23 El hombre tiene alegría en la respuesta de su boca; y una palabra en el momento correcto, ¡qué bueno es!
A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth; And a word in due season, how good it is!
The path of life is upward for the wise, So that he turneth away from the underworld beneath. (Sheol h7585)
25 La casa del hombre de orgullo será desarraigada por el Señor, pero él salvará la herencia de la viuda.
The LORD destroyeth the house of the proud; But he will establish the border of the widow.
26 Los designios malvados son repugnantes para el Señor, pero las palabras de los limpios son agradables.
Evil devices are an abomination to the LORD; But pleasant words are pure.
27 Aquel cuyos deseos están fijos en la codicia es una causa de problemas para su familia; pero el que no desea sobornos tendrá vida.
He who is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; But he who hateth bribes shall live.
28 El corazón del recto reflexiona sobre su respuesta; pero de la boca del malvado surge una corriente de cosas malvadas.
The heart of the righteous meditateth on his answer; But the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
29 El Señor está lejos de ser pecadores, pero su oído está abierto a la oración de los rectos.
The LORD is far from the wicked: But he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
30 La luz de los ojos es una alegría para el corazón, y las buenas noticias conforta los huesos.
The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart, And good tidings make the bones fat.
31 El hombre cuya oreja está abierta a la enseñanza de la vida tendrá su lugar entre los sabios.
The ear that hearkeneth to the reproof of life Shall dwell among the wise.
32 El que no será controlado por el entrenamiento no tiene respeto por su alma, pero el que escucha la enseñanza obtendrá sabiduría.
He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own life; But he that hearkeneth to rebuke getteth understanding.
33 El temor de Jehová es la enseñanza de la sabiduría; y una baja opinión de uno mismo va antes que el honor.
The fear of the LORD guideth to wisdom, And before honor is humility.
