Proverbios 11
1 Las balanzas falsas no aprueba el Señor, pero aprueba las balanzas exactas.
Balances of deceit are an abomination of the Lord; but a full weight [obtaineth] his favor.
2 Cuando viene el orgullo, viene la vergüenza, pero la sabiduría es con el de espíritu humilde.
When pride cometh, then cometh disgrace; but with the modest there is wisdom.
3 La justicia de los rectos será su guía, pero los caminos retorcidos de los falsos serán su destrucción.
The integrity of the upright guideth them; but the cunning of the treacherous destroyeth them.
4 La riqueza no tiene ganancia en el día del juicio, pero la justicia mantiene a un hombre a salvo de la muerte.
Wealth cannot profit on the day of wrath; but righteousness deliver from death.
5 La justicia del hombre bueno hará que su camino sea recto, pero el pecado del malhechor será la causa de su caída.
The righteousness of the perfect maketh even his way; but by his own wickedness will the wicked fall.
6 La justicia de los rectos será su salvación, pero los falsos mismos serán tomados en sus designios malvados.
The righteousness of the upright will deliver them; but through their own sinful desires are the treacherous caught.
7 Al morir un hombre recto, su esperanza no llega a su fin, pero la esperanza del malhechor llega a la destrucción.
When a wicked man dieth, [his] hope vanisheth; and the expectation of his children is lost.
8 El hombre recto es quitado de la angustia, y en su lugar viene el pecador.
The righteous is delivered out of distress, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
9 Con su boca el hombre malo envía destrucción a su prójimo; pero a través del conocimiento, los justos se sacan de problemas.
With his mouth doth the hypocrite destroy his neighbor; but through knowledge are the righteous delivered.
10 Cuando las cosas van bien para el hombre recto, todo el pueblo está contento; a la muerte de los pecadores, hay gritos de alegría.
When it goeth well with the righteous, the town rejoiceth loudly: and when the wicked perish, there is joyful shouting.
11 Por la bendición del hombre recto, la ciudad se hace grande, pero la boca del malhechor la derriba.
Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted; but through the mouth of the wicked it is pulled down.
12 El que tiene una mala opinión de su prójimo no tiene sentido, pero el sabio guarda silencio.
He that despiseth his neighbor is void of sense; but a man of understanding maintaineth silence.
13 El que habla de los demás hace públicos los secretos, pero el hombre de corazón sincero lo cubre.
He that walketh about as talebearer revealeth secrets; but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
14 Cuando no hay una sugerencia de ayuda, la gente tendrá una caída, pero con una serie de guías sabios estarán a salvo.
Where there is no wise guidance, a people must fall: but [it will obtain] help through the multitude of counsellors.
15 El que se hace responsable de un hombre extraño sufrirá mucha pérdida; pero el enemigo de fianzas estará a salvo.
With evil will he be overwhelmed that is surety for a stranger: but he that hateth giving the hand as pledge is safe.
16 Una mujer que está llena de gracia es honrada, pero una mujer que odia la rectitud es un asiento de vergüenza: los que odian el trabajo sufrirán la pérdida, pero los fuertes conservarán su riqueza.
A woman endowed with grace will surely obtain honor; and the powerful will obtain riches.
17 El hombre que tiene misericordia será recompensado, pero el hombre cruel es la causa de problemas para sí mismo.
The man of kindness doth good to his own soul; but he that troubleth his own flesh is cruel.
18 El pecador recibe el pago del engaño; pero su recompensa es segura de quién pone en la semilla de la rectitud.
The wicked practiseth a work of falsehood; but he that soweth righteousness [obtaineth] the reward of truth.
19 Así que la justicia da vida; pero el que persigue el mal obtiene la muerte para sí mismo.
He who is firm in righteousness attaineth to life: and he that pursueth evil [doth it] to his own death.
20 Los imprudentes son odiados por el Señor, pero aquellos cuyos caminos son sin error son su deleite.
An abomination of the Lord are those of a perverse heart; but his favor is for those who are unblemished in their way.
21 Ciertamente, el malhechor no se librará del castigo, pero la simiente del hombre recto estará a salvo.
The hand [of God] being against [his] hand, the bad man shall not go unpunished; but the seed of the righteous shall escape.
22 Como un anillo de oro en la nariz de un cerdo, es una mujer hermosa que no tiene sentido.
As a golden ring in a swine's snout, so is a handsome woman that hath thrown off discretion.
23 El deseo del hombre recto es solo para bien, pero la ira está esperando al malhechor.
The desire of the righteous is only good: but the hope of the wicked is the wrath [of God].
24 Un hombre puede dar libremente, y aun así su riqueza aumentará; y otro puede retener más de lo correcto, pero solo llega a necesitarlo.
There is a man that scattereth gifts, and yet his wealth is increased: and there is one that withholdeth more than is proper, and still cometh only to want.
25 El que da bendición prosperará; pero el que maldice será maldecido.
A beneficent soul will be abundantly gratified; and he that refresheth [others] will be also refreshed himself.
26 El que retiene el grano será maldecido por el pueblo; pero una bendición estará en la cabeza de él que les permite tenerlo por un precio.
Him that withholdeth corn, the people will denounce; but blessing will be heaped upon the head of the one that selleth it.
27 El que, con todo su corazón, va tras lo que es bueno, está buscando la gracia; pero el que está buscando problemas lo obtendrá.
He that diligently searcheth after good seeketh favor; but if one inquireth after evil, it will come unto him.
28 El que pone su fe en la riqueza, se desvanecerá; pero el hombre recto reverdecerá como la hoja verde.
He that trusteth in his riches will surely fall; but the righteous shall grow like the leaves [of a tree].
29 El intruso de su casa tendrá el viento por su herencia, y el insensato será siervo de los sabios de corazón.
He that troubleth his own house will inherit the wind; and the fool will become the servant to the wise of heart.
30 El fruto de la justicia es un árbol de la vida; pero el comportamiento violento quita las almas.
The fruit of the righteous is of the tree of life, and the wise draweth souls to himself.
31 Si el hombre recto es recompensado en la tierra, ¡cuánto más el malhechor y el pecador!
Behold, the righteous is recompensed on the earth: how much more the wicked and the sinner.
