Filipenses 2
1 Si entonces hay algún consuelo en Cristo, cualquier consuelo dado en amor, cualquier unión de corazones en el Espíritu, cualquier misericordia y piedad,
If there be therfore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of loue, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any compassion and mercie,
2 Haz que mi alegría sea completa siendo de la misma mente, teniendo el mismo amor, estando en armonía y de una sola mente;
Fulfill my ioye, that ye be like minded, hauing the same loue, being of one accorde, and of one iudgement,
3 No hacer nada a través de la envidia o el orgullo, pero en modestia y humildad, estimando cada uno a los demás mejor que así mismo;
That nothing be done through contention or vaine glory, but that in meekenesse of minde euery man esteeme other better then himselfe.
4 No buscando su propio bien, sino teniendo en cuenta las cosas de los demás.
Looke not euery man on his owne things, but euery man also on the things of other men.
5 Ustedes tengan el mismo pensar, que estaba en Cristo Jesús, él cual,
Let the same minde be in you that was euen in Christ Iesus,
6 Aunque siendo él mismo en la forma de Dios, no insistió en ser igual a Dios;
Who being in ye forme of God, thought it no robberie to be equall with God:
7 Pero él se hizo a sí mismo como nada, tomando la forma de un siervo, siendo hecho como los hombres;
But he made himself of no reputation, and tooke on him ye forme of a seruant, and was made like vnto men, and was founde in shape as a man.
8 Y visto en forma de hombre, tomó el lugar más bajo, y se dejó morir, incluso la muerte vergonzosa de la cruz.
He humbled himselfe, and became obedient vnto the death, euen the death of the Crosse.
9 Por esta razón, Dios lo ha puesto en el lugar más elevado y le ha dado el nombre que es sobre todo nombre;
Wherefore God hath also highly exalted him, and giuen him a Name aboue euery name,
10 Para que en el nombre de Jesús se doble toda rodilla, de los que están en el cielo, y en la tierra, y debajo de la tierra,
That at the Name of Iesus shoulde euery knee bowe, both of things in heauen, and things in earth, and things vnder the earth,
11 Y que toda lengua testifique que Jesucristo es Señor, para gloria de Dios el Padre.
And that euery tongue shoulde confesse that Iesus Christ is the Lord, vnto the glory of God the Father.
12 Entonces, mis seres queridos, como siempre han hecho lo que les digo, no solo cuando estoy presente, sino que ahora, cuando no estoy con ustedes, mucho más, en mi ausencia ustedes mismos trabajando en su salvación con temor y temblor en sus corazones;
Wherefore my beloued, as ye haue alwayes obeyed me, not as in my presence only, but now much more in mine absence, so make an end of your owne saluation with feare and trembling.
13 Porque Dios es la causa de sus deseos y sus actos, y quien les ayuda a llevarlos a cabo, según su buena voluntad.
For it is God which worketh in you, both the will and the deede, euen of his good pleasure.
14 Haz todo sin protestas y argumentos;
Do all things without murmuring and reasonings,
15 Para que nadie encuentra falta ni culpa alguna. Sean hijos de Dios sin pecado en una generación maligna e insensata, en medio de quienes son vistos como luceros en el mundo,
That ye may be blamelesse, and pure, and the sonnes of God without rebuke in the middes of a naughtie and crooked nation, among whom yee shine as lights in the world,
16 Ofreciendo la palabra de vida; para que pueda gloriarme en ustedes en el día de Cristo, porque mi carrera no fue en vano y mi obra no fue en vano.
Holding forth the worde of life, that I may reioyce in the day of Christ, that I haue not runne in vaine, neither haue laboured in vaine.
17 Y aunque me ofrezcan como sacrificio, entregándome por la causa y la obra de su fe, me alegro y gozo con todos ustedes:
Yea, and though I bee offered vp vpon the sacrifice, and seruice of your faith, I am glad, and reioyce with you all.
18 Y de la misma manera, alégrense ustedes mismos y participan en mi alegría.
For the same cause also be ye glad, and reioyce with me.
19 Pero espero en el Señor Jesús les envíe a Timoteo, para que me consuele cuando tenga noticias de ustedes.
And I trust in the Lord Iesus, to sende Timotheus shortly vnto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I knowe your state.
20 Porque no tengo ningún hombre de ideas similares que realmente se preocupe por ustedes.
For I haue no man like minded, who will faithfully care for your matters.
21 Porque todos van tras lo suyo propio, no según las cosas de Cristo.
For all seeke their owne, and not that which is Iesus Christes.
22 Pero su calidad es clara para ustedes; como un niño es para su padre, él fue una ayuda para mí en el trabajo del evangelio.
But yee knowe the proofe of him, that as a sonne with the father, hee hath serued with me in the Gospel.
23 A él entonces espero enviar lo más rápido posible, cuando pueda ver cómo me van mis asuntos;
Him therefore I hope to send assoone as I knowe howe it will goe with me,
24 Pero tengo fe en el Señor de que yo mismo vendré pronto.
And trust in the Lord, that I also my selfe shall come shortly.
25 Pero me pareció necesario enviarles a Epafrodito, mi hermano, que ha participado conmigo en el trabajo y en la lucha, y su siervo, enviado por ustedes para que me ayudara en mis necesidades;
But I supposed it necessarie to sende my brother Epaphroditus vnto you, my companion in labour, and fellowe souldier, euen your messenger, and he that ministred vnto me such things as I wanted.
26 Porque su corazón estaba con todos ustedes, y se angustió mucho porque sabían que estaba enfermo;
For he longed after all you, and was full of heauinesse, because yee had heard that hee had beene sicke.
27 Porque en realidad estaba enfermo casi hasta la muerte; pero Dios tuvo misericordia de él; y no solo en él sino en mí, para que yo no tenga dolor sobre dolor.
And no doubt he was sicke, very neere vnto death: but God had mercie on him, and not on him onely, but on me also, least I should haue sorowe vpon sorowe.
28 Lo he enviado, entonces, con mucho gusto, para que cuando lo vean de nuevo, Sean felices y yo pueda tener menos tristeza.
I sent him therefore the more diligently, that when yee shoulde see him againe, yee might reioyce, and I might be the lesse sorowfull.
29 Así que recibirlo en el Señor con todo gozo, y da honor a los que son como él es:
Receiue him therefore in the Lord with all gladnesse, and make much of such:
30 Porque para la obra de Cristo estuvo cerca de la muerte, poniendo su vida en peligro para cuidarme mientras que ustedes por la distancia no podían hacerlo.
Because that for the woorke of Christ he was neere vnto death, and regarded not his life, to fulfill that seruice which was lacking on your part towarde me.
