1 Y él Señor dijo a Moisés en el desierto del Sinaí, en la Tienda de la reunión, el primer día del segundo mes, en el segundo año después de que salieron de la tierra de Egipto.
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out] in the wilderness of Sinai [Thorn], in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month (Iyar ·Light / I Am God your healer, 2·), in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], saying,
2 Toma el número completo de los hijos de Israel, por sus familias y por las casas de sus padres, cada varón por nombre;
“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails], by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, one by one;
3 Todos los que tengan veinte años o más y puedan ir a la guerra en Israel deben ser contados por ti y Aarón por sus ejércitos.
from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go out to war in Israel [God prevails]. You and Aaron [Light-bringer] shall count them by their divisions.
4 Y para ayudarte, toma a un hombre de cada tribu, el jefe de la casa de su padre.
With you there shall be a man of every tribe; everyone head of his fathers’ house.
5 Estos son los nombres de aquellos que serán tus ayudantes: de Rubén, Elisur, el hijo de Sedeur;
These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: Of Reuben [See, a son!]: Elizur the son of Shedeur.
6 De Simeón, Selumiel, el hijo de Zurisadai;
Of Simeon [Hearing]: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai [My rock almighty].
7 De Judá, Najón, hijo de Aminadab;
Of Judah [Praised]: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
8 De Isacar, Natanael, el hijo de Zuar;
Of Issachar [Hire, Reward]: Nethanel the son of Zuar.
9 De Zabulón, Eliab, hijo de Helón;
Of Zebulun [Living together]: Eliab the son of Helon.
10 De los hijos de José: de Efraín, Elisama, hijo de Amiud; de Manasés, Gamaliel, el hijo de Pedasur,
Of the children of Joseph [May he add]: Of Ephraim [Fruit]: Elishama the son of Ammihud. Of Manasseh [Causing to forget]: Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
11 De Benjamín, Abidán, hijo de Gedeoni;
Of Benjamin [Son of right hand, Son of south]: Abidan the son of Gideoni.
12 De parte de Dan, Ahiezer, el hijo de Amisadai;
Of Dan [He judged]: Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
13 De Aser, Pagiel, el hijo de Ocrán;

14 De Gad, Eliasaf, hijo de Deuel;

15 De Neftalí, Ahira, el hijo de Enán.

16 Estos son los hombres nombrados de entre todas las personas, jefes de las casas de sus padres, jefes de las tribus de Israel.
These are those who were called of the congregation, the princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel [God prevails].
17 Y tomaron Moisés y Aarón a estos hombres, escogidos por su nombre;
Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] took these men who are mentioned by name.
18 Y se reunieron todas las personas el primer día del segundo mes; y todos dejaron en claro a su familia y la casa de su padre, por el número de los nombres, de veinte años en adelante.
They assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month (Iyar ·Light / I Am God your healer, 2·); and they declared their ancestry by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, one by one.
19 Como el Señor le había dado órdenes a Moisés, fueron contados por él en el desierto del Sinaí.
As Adonai enjoined Moses [Drawn out], so he counted them in the wilderness of Sinai [Thorn].
20 Las generaciones de los hijos de Rubén, el hijo mayor de Israel, fueron contados por sus familias y las casas de sus padres, todos los varones de veinte años y más, que pudieron ir a la guerra;
The children of Reuben [See, a son!], Israel [God prevails]’s firstborn, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;
21 Cuarenta y seis mil quinientos de la tribu de Rubén fueron contados.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Reuben [See, a son!], were forty-six thousand five hundred.
22 Las generaciones de los hijos de Simeón fueron contadas por sus familias y las casas de sus padres, todos los varones de veinte años o más que pudieron ir a la guerra;
Of the children of Simeon [Hearing], their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, those who were counted of it, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;
23 Cincuenta y nueve mil, trescientos de la tribu de Simeón estaban contados.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Simeon [Hearing], were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
24 Las generaciones de los hijos de Gad fueron contadas por sus familias y las casas de sus padres, todos los varones de veinte años o más que pudieron ir a la guerra;
Of the children of Gad [Good fortune], their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;
25 Cuarenta y cinco mil seiscientos cincuenta de la tribu de Gad fueron contados.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Gad [Good fortune], were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.
26 Las generaciones de los hijos de Judá fueron contadas por sus familias y las casas de sus padres, todos los varones de veinte años o más que pudieron ir a la guerra;
Of the children of Judah [Praised], their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;
27 Setenta y cuatro mil seiscientos de la tribu de Judá fueron contados.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Judah [Praised], were seventy-four thousand six hundred.
28 Las generaciones de los hijos de Isacar fueron contadas por sus familias y las casas de sus padres, todos los varones de veinte años o más que pudieron ir a la guerra;
Of the children of Issachar [Hire, Reward], their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;
29 Cuarenta y cuatro mil cuatrocientos de la tribu de Isacar fueron contados.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Issachar [Hire, Reward], were fifty-four thousand four hundred.
30 Las generaciones de los hijos de Zabulón fueron contadas por sus familias y las casas de sus padres, todos los varones de veinte años o más que pudieron ir a la guerra;
Of the children of Zebulun [Living together], their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;
31 Cincuenta y siete mil cuatrocientos de la tribu de Zabulón estaban contados.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Zebulun [Living together], were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
32 Las generaciones de los hijos de José fueron contadas por sus familias y las casas de sus padres, todos los varones de veinte años o más que pudieron ir a la guerra;
Of the children of Joseph [May he add], of the children of Ephraim [Fruit], their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;
33 Cuarenta mil quinientos de la tribu de Efraín fueron contados.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Ephraim [Fruit], were forty thousand five hundred.
34 Las generaciones de los hijos de Manasés fueron contadas por sus familias y las casas de sus padres, todos los varones de veinte años o más que pudieron ir a la guerra;
Of the children of Manasseh [Causing to forget], their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;
35 Treinta y dos mil, doscientos de la tribu de Manasés fueron contados.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Manasseh [Causing to forget], were thirty-two thousand two hundred.
36 Las generaciones de los hijos de Benjamín fueron contadas por sus familias y las casas de sus padres, todos los varones de veinte años o más que pudieron ir a la guerra;
Of the children of Benjamin [Son of right hand, Son of south], their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;
37 Treinta y cinco mil cuatrocientos de la tribu de Benjamín estaban contados.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Benjamin [Son of right hand, Son of south], were thirty-five thousand four hundred.
38 Las generaciones de los hijos de Dan fueron contadas por sus familias y las casas de sus padres, todos los varones de veinte años o más que pudieron ir a la guerra;
Of the children of Dan [He judged], their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;
39 Se contaron sesenta y dos mil setecientos de la tribu de Dan.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Dan [He judged], were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
40 Las generaciones de los hijos de Aser fueron contadas por sus familias y las casas de sus padres, todos los varones de veinte años o más que pudieron ir a la guerra;
Of the children of Asher [Happy], their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;
41 Cuarenta y un mil quinientos de la tribu de Aser fueron contados.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Asher [Happy], were forty-one thousand five hundred.
42 Las generaciones de los hijos de Neftalí fueron contadas por sus familias y las casas de sus padres, todos los varones de veinte años o más que pudieron ir a la guerra;
Of the children of Naphtali [My wrestling], their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;
43 Cincuenta y tres mil cuatrocientos de la tribu de Neftalí fueron contados.
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Naphtali [My wrestling], were fifty-three thousand four hundred.
44 Estos son los que fueron contados por Moisés y Aarón y por los doce jefes de Israel, uno de cada tribu.
These are those who were counted, whom Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] counted, and the princes of Israel [God prevails], being twelve men: they were each one for his fathers’ house.
45 Así que todos los que fueron contados de los hijos de Israel, por sus familias, todos los de veinte años o más que pudieron ir a la guerra,
So all those who were counted of the children of Israel [God prevails] by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war in Israel [God prevails];
46 Fueron seiscientos tres mil quinientos cincuenta.
even all those who were counted were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.
47 Pero los levitas, de la tribu de sus padres, no fueron contados entre ellos.
But the Levites [Descendants of United with] after the tribe of their fathers was not counted among them.
48 Porque él Señor dijo a Moisés:
For Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
49 Sólo la tribu de Leví no será contada entre los hijos de Israel.
“Only the tribe of Levi [United with] you shall not count, neither shall you take a census of them among the children of Israel [God prevails];
50 Los levitas, deben estar en el tabernáculo del testimonio, con sus recipientes y todo lo que contiene: deben transportar la Tienda, y ser responsables de todo lo que tenga que ver con ella, y colocar sus tiendas alrededor del tabernáculo.
but appoint the Levites [Descendants of United with] over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle, and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall encamp around it.
51 Y cuando la tienda de reunión avanza, los levitas deben derribarla; y cuando se debe colocar, deben hacerlo: cualquier persona extraña que se acerque a ella debe ser condenada a muerte.
When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites [Descendants of United with] shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites [Descendants of United with] shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.
52 Los hijos de Israel pondrán sus tiendas, cada uno en su campamento alrededor de su bandera.
The children of Israel [God prevails] shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.
53 Pero las tiendas de los levitas deben estar alrededor de la tienda de la reunión, para que la ira no caiga sobre los hijos de Israel: la tienda de la reunión debe estar al cuidado de los levitas.
But the Levites [Descendants of United with] shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails]: and the Levites [Descendants of United with] shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”
54 Entonces los hijos de Israel hicieron lo que el Señor le había ordenado a Moisés.
Thus the children of Israel [God prevails] did. According to all that Adonai enjoined Moses [Drawn out], so they did.
