Números 8
1 Y él Señor dijo a Moisés:
And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying:
2 Dile a Aarón, Cuando ponga las luces en sus lugares, las siete luces darán luz delante del candelabro.
Speak unto Aaron, and thou shalt say unto him, —When thou lightest up the lamps, over against the front of the lampstand, shall the seven lamps give light.
3 Y Aarón lo hizo; puso las luces en sus lugares para que dieran luz delante del candelabro, como el Señor le dio órdenes a Moisés.
And Aaron did so, over against the front of the lampstand, lighted he up the lamps thereof, —As Yahweh commanded Moses,
4 El candelabro para las luces era labrado de oro martillado, desde su base hasta sus flores fue labrado a martillo; a partir del diseño que el Señor le había dado a Moisés, él hizo el apoyo para las luces.
Now, this, was the work of the lampstand—beaten work of gold both in the shaft thereof and in the flowers thereof, was it beaten work, according to the appearance which Yahweh caused to appear unto Moses, so, made he the lampstand.
5 Y él Señor dijo a Moisés:
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
6 Saca a los levitas de entre los hijos de Israel y purifícalos.
Take the Levites, out of the midst of the sons of Israel, —and thou shalt purify them.
7 Y así es como debes purificarlos: deja que el agua sagrada que quita el pecado sea puesta sobre ellos, y deja que el pelo de todo su cuerpo se corte con una cuchilla afilada, y deja que sus ropas se laven y así quedarán puros.
And, thus, shalt thou do unto them, to purify them, sprinkle upon them sin-cleansing water, —then shall they, cause a razor to pass over all their flesh, and shall wash their clothes and so make themselves pure.
8 Luego, que tomen un becerro su ofrenda de harina, el grano triturado mezclado con aceite, y tomen otro becerro para una ofrenda por el pecado.
Then shall they take a choice young bullock, with the meal-offering thereof even fine meal overflowed with oil, —and a second choice young bullock, shalt thou take. as a sin-bearer.
9 Y haz que los levitas se adelanten frente a la tienda de reunión, y que todos los hijos de Israel se junten:
Then shalt thou bring the Levites near, before the tent of meeting, —and shalt call together all the assembly of the sons of Israel;
10 Y debes llevar a los levitas ante el Señor, y los hijos de Israel deben poner sus manos sobre ellos:
and shalt bring the Levites near before Yahweh, —and the sons of Israel shall lean their hands upon the Levites;
11 Y Aarón debe dar los levitas al Señor como una ofrenda de los hijos de Israel, para que puedan hacer la obra del Señor.
and Aaron shall offer the Levites as a wave-offering before Yahweh, from among the sons of Israel, —so shall they be for performing the laborious work of Yahweh.
12 Y los levitas deben poner sus manos sobre las cabezas de los becerros, y uno de los becerros debe ser ofrecido por una ofrenda por el pecado y el otro por una ofrenda quemada al Señor para quitar el pecado de los Levitas.
And, the Levites, shall lean their hands upon the head of the bullocks; then make thou of the one a sin-bearer and of the other an ascending-sacrifice unto Yahweh, to put a propitiatory-covering over the Levites.
13 Entonces los levitas deben ser puestos delante de Aarón y sus hijos, para ser ofrecidos como una ofrenda al Señor.
Thus shalt thou cause the Levites to stand before Aaron and before his sons, —thus shalt thou offer them as a wave-offering unto Yahweh;
14 Así que debes separar a los levitas de los hijos de Israel, y los levitas serán míos.
thus shalt thou separate the Levites out of the midst of the sons of Israel, —thus shall the Levites become mine.
15 Después de eso, los levitas entrarán a hacer lo que sea necesario en la Tienda de reunión; Debes purificarlos y darlos como ofrenda mecida.
And after that, shall the Levites enter to do the labour of the tent of meeting, —so shalt thou purify them, and offer them as a wave-offering,
16 Porque me han sido dados de entre los hijos de Israel; En lugar del primer hijo de toda madre, el primero en nacer en Israel, los he tomado para mí.
For, given, given, they are unto me, out of the midst of the sons of Israel, —instead of every firstborn that a mother beareth from among the sons of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
17 Porque el primer hijo de toda madre entre los hijos de Israel es mío, el primer nacimiento masculino de un hombre o una bestia: el día en que envié la muerte a todos los primeros hijos en la tierra de Egipto, los hice míos.
For mine, is every firstborn among the sons of Israel, among men and among beasts, —on the day when I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, did I hallow them unto me.
18 Y en lugar de los primeros hijos entre los hijos de Israel, tomé a los levitas.
Therefore have I taken the Levites, —instead of every firstborn among the sons of Israel;
19 Y se los he dado a Aarón y a sus hijos, de entre los hijos de Israel, para que emprendan por ellos toda la obra de la Tienda de reunión, y para quitar el pecado de los hijos de Israel para que no haya maldad sobre ellos cuando se acerquen al lugar santo.
therefore have I given the Levites as a gift unto Aaron and unto his sons, out of the midst of the sons of Israel, to do the laborious work of the sons of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to put a propitiatory-covering over the sons of Israel, —so shall there be among the sons of Israel, no plague, by the coming nigh of the sons of Israel unto the sanctuary.
20 Todas estas cosas que Moisés y Aarón y los hijos de Israel hicieron a los levitas; como él Señor dio órdenes a Moisés acerca de los levitas, así lo hicieron los hijos de Israel.
And Moses and Aaron and all the assembly of the sons of Israel did thus unto the Levites, —according to all that Yahweh commanded Moses as touching the Levites, so, did the sons of Israel unto them.
21 Y los levitas fueron y se purificaron del pecado, y sus ropas fueron lavadas, y Aarón los dio en ofrenda mecida delante del Señor; y Aarón quitó sus pecados y los purificó.
And the Levites accepted the cleansing from sin and washed their clothes, and Aaron offered them as a wave-offering before Yahweh, —and Aaron put a propitiatory-covering over them to make them pure.
22 Y luego los levitas entraron a hacer su trabajo en la tienda de reunión delante de Aarón y sus hijos: todas las órdenes que el Señor le había dado a Moisés acerca de los levitas se pusieron en práctica.
And after that, went the Levites in to do their laborious work in the tent of meeting, before Aaron and before his sons, —as Yahweh commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so, did they unto them.
23 Y él Señor dijo a Moisés:
And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying;
24 Esta es la regla para los levitas: los de veinticinco años y más deben entrar y hacer el trabajo de la tienda de reunión;
This is what concerneth the Levites, —from twenty-five years old and upwards, shall they enter to take rank in the host, for doing the laborious work of the tent of meeting;
25 Pero después de cumplir los cincuenta años, deben abandonar su trabajo y no hacerlo más;
but from the age of fifty years, shall they retire from taking rank in the labour, and shall do laborious work no more;
26 Pero servirán con sus hermanos en la Tienda de la reunión, cuidándolo pero sin hacer ningún trabajo. Esto es lo que debes hacer en relación con los levitas y su servicio.
yet shall they wait upon their brethren in the tent of meeting, by keeping charge, but laborious work, shall they not perform, —thus, shalt thou do unto the Levites, as touching their charges.
