Números 36
1 Y vinieron a Moisés los jefes de las familias de los hijos de Galaad, hijo de Maquir, hijo de Manasés, de las familias de los hijos de José, los jefes y los jefes de familia de los hijos de José. Israel estando presente,
Then came near the heads of fathers, belonging to the family of the sons of Gilead son of Machir son of Manasseh, out of the families of the sons of Joseph, —and spake before Moses, and before the princes, heads of fathers belonging to the sons of Israel;
2 Y dijo: El Señor dio órdenes a mi señor para que distribuyera la tierra como su herencia a los hijos de Israel: y el Señor le ordenó a mi señor que entregara la herencia de Zelofehad, nuestro hermano, a sus hijas.
and they said—Unto my lord, did Yahweh give command, to bestow the land as an inheritance, by lot, unto the sons of Israel, —my lord, therefore, was commanded by Yahweh, to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother unto his daughters.
3 Ahora, si se casan con alguno de los hijos de otras tribus de los hijos de Israel, sus propiedades serán retiradas de la herencia de nuestros padres y se convertirán en parte de la herencia de la tribu en la que se unan casándose; y su herencia será quitada de la herencia de nuestra tribu.
When, therefore, unto any one from among the sons of the other tribes of the sons of Israel, they become wives their inheritance shall disappear out of the inheritance of our fathers, and be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall be received, —and so out of the lot of our inheritance, shall it disappear,
4 Y en el momento del jubileo de los hijos de Israel, sus propiedades se unirán a la herencia de la tribu de la que forman parte y serán retiradas de la herencia de la tribu de nuestros padres.
And when the jubilee shall come to the sons of Israel, then shall their inheritance be added unto the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall be received—and, out of the, inheritance of the tribe of our fathers, shall their inheritance disappear.
5 Por la dirección del Señor, Moisés dio órdenes a los hijos de Israel, diciendo: Lo que la tribu de los hijos de José ha dicho es correcto.
Then Moses commanded the sons of Israel, at the bidding of Yahweh saying, —A right thing, are, the tribe of the sons of Joseph, speaking,
6 Este es el orden del Señor acerca de las hijas de Zelofehad; El Señor dice: Que tomen como sus esposos a quien mas les agrade, pero solo entre la familia de la tribu de su padre.
This, is the thing which Yahweh hath commanded, as to the daughters of Zelophehad saying: Unto whomsoever it may be good in their eyes, let them become wives, —save only unto the family of the tribe of their father, let them become wives.
7 Y, por lo tanto, ninguna propiedad será entregada de tribu a tribu entre los hijos de Israel; pero cada uno de los hijos de Israel guardará la herencia de la tribu de su padre.
So shall no inheritance belonging to the sons of Israel go round from tribe to tribe, —for the sons of Israel shall, each one, cleave, unto the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers,
8 Y toda hija que posea bienes en cualquier tribu de los hijos de Israel debe casarse con una de las familias de la tribu de su padre, para que todo hombre de los hijos de Israel pueda conservar la herencia de sus padres.
And, every daughter possessing all inheritance from among the tribes of the sons of Israel, unto one of the family of the tribe of her father, shall become wife, —to the intent that the sons of Israel may possess each one the inheritance of his fathers;
9 Y ninguna propiedad será entregada de una tribu a otra, sino que cada tribu de los hijos de Israel mantendrá su herencia.
and no inheritance go round from one tribe to another tribe, —for the tribes of the sons of Israel shall cleave, each one unto his own inheritance.
10 Entonces las hijas de Zelofehad hicieron lo que el Señor le ordenó a Moisés:
As Yahweh commanded Moses, so, did the daughters of Zelophehad.
11 Porque Maala, Tirsa, y Hogla, y Milca, las hijas de Zelofehad, tomaron como esposos a los hijos de los hermanos de su padre.
Thus then did Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milchah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, become wives, unto the sons of their father’s brethren.
12 Estuvieron casados con las familias de los hijos de Manasés, el hijo de José, y sus bienes se mantuvieron en la tribu de la familia de su padre.
Unto men from among the families of the son of Manasseh son of Joseph, became they wives, —and so their inheritance remained with the tribe of the family of their father.
13 Estas son las leyes y las órdenes que el Señor dio a los hijos de Israel por medio de Moisés, en las tierras bajas de Moab por el Jordán frente a Jericó.
These are the commandments and the regulations which Yahweh gave in charge, by the hand of Moses, unto the sons of Israel, —in the waste plains of Moab, by Jordan near Jericho.
