1 Estas son las generaciones de Aarón y Moisés, en el día en que la palabra del Señor vino a Moisés en el Monte Sinaí.
These are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the Lord spoke to Moses in mount Sinai.
2 Estos son los nombres de los hijos de Aarón: Nadab el mayor, y Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
And these the names of the sons of Aaron: his firstborn Nadab, then Abiu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.
3 Estos son los nombres de los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes, a quienes se puso el aceite santo, que fueron consagrados como sacerdotes.
These the names of the sons of Aaron the priests that were anointed, and whose hands were filled and consecrated, to do the functions of priesthood.
4 Y Nadab y Abiú fueron condenados a muerte delante del Señor cuando hicieron una ofrenda de fuego extraño delante del Señor, en la tierra baldía del Sinaí, y no tuvieron hijos. Eleazar e Itamar hicieron el trabajo de los sacerdotes bajo la vigilancia de Aarón su padre.
Now Nadab and Abiu died, without children, when they offered strange fire before the Lord, in the desert of Sinai: and Eleazar and Ithamar performed the priestly office in the presence of Aaron their father.
5 Y él Señor dijo a Moisés:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
6 Haz que la tribu de Leví se acerque, y ponlos delante del sacerdote Aarón, para que sean sus ayudantes.
Bring the tribe of Levi, and make them stand in the sight of Aaron the priest to minister to him, and let them watch,
7 Para que sean responsables ante él y ante todo Israel por el cuidado de la Tienda de reunión y por hacer el trabajo del santuario;
And observe whatsoever appertaineth to the service of the multitude before the tabernacle of the testimony,
8 Y ellos cuidarán de todos los vasos de la Tienda de reunión y harán por los hijos de Israel todo el trabajo necesario del santuario.
And let them keep the vessels of the tabernacle, serving in the ministry thereof.
9 Den los levitas a Aarón y a sus hijos; para que sean suyos entre los hijos de Israel.
And thou shalt give the Levites for a gift,
10 Y da órdenes a Aarón y sus hijos para que guarden su lugar como sacerdotes; Cualquier persona extraña que se acerque será condenada a muerte.
To Aaron and to his sons, to whom they are delivered by the children of Israel. But thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons over the service of priesthood. The stranger that approacheth to minister, shall be put to death.
11 Y él Señor dijo a Moisés,
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
12 Mira, he sacado a los levitas de los hijos de Israel para que sean míos en lugar de los primeros hijos de los hijos de Israel;
I have taken the Levites from the children of Israel, for every firstborn that openeth the womb among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine.
13 Porque todos los primeros hijos son míos; el día en que maté a todos los primeros hijos en la tierra de Egipto, santifique para mí cada primer nacimiento de hombre y bestia. Son míos; Yo soy el Señor.
For every firstborn is mine: since I struck the firstborn in the land of Egypt: I have sanctified to myself whatsoever is firstborn in Israel both of man and beast, they are mine: I am the Lord.
14 Y él Señor dijo a Moisés en la tierra del desierto del Sinaí:
And the Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, saying:
15 Que todos los hijos de Leví sean contados por sus familias y las casas de sus padres; Que todos los hombres de un mes y más sean contados.
Number the sons of Levi by the houses of their fathers and their families, every male from one month and upward.
16 Entonces Moisés hizo lo que el Señor le dijo, contándolos como se le había ordenado.
Moses numbered them as the Lord had commanded.
17 Estos fueron los hijos de Leví de nombre: Gersón y Coat y Merari.
And there were found sons of Levi by their names, Gerson and Caath and Merari.
18 Y estos son los nombres de los hijos de Gersón, por sus familias: Libni y Simei.
The sons of Gerson: Lebni and Semei.
19 Y los hijos de Coat, por sus familias: Amram e Izhar, Hebrón y Uziel.
The sons of Caath: Amram, and Jesaar, Hebron and Oziel:
20 Y los hijos de Merari por sus familias: Mahli y Musi. Estas son las familias de los levitas en el orden de las casas de sus padres.
The sons of Merari: Moholi and Musi.
21 De Gersón vienen los libnitas y los simeítas; estas son las familias de los gersonitas.
Of Gerson were two families, the Lebnites, and the Semeites:
22 Los contados de ellos, los varones de un mes y más, eran siete mil quinientos.
Of which were numbered, people of the male sex from one month and upward, seven thousand five hundred.
23 Las tiendas de los gersonitas se colocarán en la parte posterior de la casa, al oeste.
These shall pitch behind the tabernacle on the west,
24 El jefe de los gersonitas era Eliasaf, el hijo de Lael.
Under their prince Eliasaph the son of Lael.
25 En la Tienda de la reunión, los Gersonitas deben tener el cuidado de la Casa, y la Tienda con su cubierta, y el velo para la puerta de la Tienda de la reunión,
And their charge shall be in the tabernacle of the covenant:
26 Y las cortinas para el atrio alrededor de la casa y el altar, y la cortina para su entrada, y todas las cuerdas necesarias para su uso.
The tabernacle itself and the cover thereof, the hanging that is drawn before the doors of the tabernacle of the covenant, and the curtains of the court: the hanging also that is hanged in the entry of the court of the tabernacle, and whatsoever belongeth to the rite of the altar, the cords of the tabernacle, and all the furniture thereof.
27 De Coat vinieron los amramitas y los izharitas, los hebronitas y los uzielitas; estas son las familias de los coatitas.
Of the kindred of Caath come the families of the Amramites and Jesaarites and Hebronites and Ozielites. These are the families of the Caathites reckoned up by their names:
28 Los contados de ellos, los varones de un mes y más, eran ocho mil seiscientos, que eran los responsables del cuidado del lugar santo.
All of the male sex from one month and upward, eight thousand six hundred: they shall have the guard of the sanctuary,
29 Las tiendas de los coatitas se colocarán en el lado sur de la tienda de reunión.
And shall camp on the south side.
30 Su jefe es Elizafan, el hijo de Uziel.
And their prince shall be Elisaphan the son of Oziel:
31 A su cuidado están él cofre del pacto, la mesa, las luces, los altares y todas las vasijas que se usan en el lugar santo, y el velo, y todo para lo que sirven.
And they shall keep the ark, and the table and the candlestick, the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary, wherewith they minister, and the veil, and all the furniture of this kind.
32 Eleazar, el hijo del sacerdote Aarón, encabezará a todos los levitas y supervisará a los responsables del cuidado del lugar santo.
And the prince of the princes of the Levites, Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, shall be over them that watch for the guard of the sanctuary.
33 De Merari vienen los mahlitas y los musitas; estas son las familias de merari.
And of Merari are the families of the Moholites, and Musites, reckoned up by their names:
34 Los contados de ellos, los varones de un mes y más, eran seis mil doscientos.
All of the male kind from one month and upward, six thousand two hundred.
35 El jefe de las familias de Merari fue Zuriel, el hijo de Abihail: sus tiendas se ubicarán en el lado norte de la Tienda de reunión.
Their prince Suriel the son of Abihaiel: they shall camp on the north side.
36 Y en su cuidado deben estar todas las tablas de la Tienda, con sus varillas, pilares y basas, y todos los instrumentos, y todo lo que se utiliza,
Under their custody shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars, and the pillars and their sockets, and all things that pertain to this kind of service:
37 Y los pilares del espacio abierto a su alrededor, con sus bases y estacas y cuerdas.
And the pillars of the court round about with their sockets, and the pins with their cords.
38 Y aquellos cuyas tiendas deben colocarse en el lado este delante de la Tienda frente a la Tienda de reunión, mirando al amanecer, son Moisés y Aarón y sus hijos, quienes harán la obra del lugar santo por los hijos de israel; y cualquier persona extraña que se acerque será muerta.
Before the tabernacle of the covenant, that is to say on the east side, shall Moses and Aaron camp, with their sons, having the custody of the sanctuary, in the midst of the children of Israel. What stranger soever cometh unto it, shall be put to death.
39 Todos los levitas contados por Moisés y Aarón por orden del Señor, todos los varones de un mes de edad y más contados en el orden de sus familias, eran veintidós mil.
All the Levites, that Moses and Aaron numbered according to the precept of the Lord, by their families, of the male kind from one month and upward, were twenty-two thousand.
40 Y el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés: Sea contados los primeros hijos varones, y toma el número de sus nombres.
And the Lord said to Moses: Number the firstborn of the male sex of the children of Israel, from one month and upward, and thou shalt take the sum of them.
41 Y dame a los levitas (yo soy el Señor) en lugar de los primeros hijos de los hijos de Israel; y el ganado de los levitas en lugar de los primeros nacimientos entre el ganado de los hijos de Israel.
And thou shalt take the Levites to me for all the firstborn of the children of Israel, I am the Lord: and their cattle for all the firstborn of the cattle of the children of Israel:
42 Así que Moisés hizo que todos los primeros hijos de los hijos de Israel fueran contados, como el Señor le dijo.
Moses reckoned up, as the Lord had commanded, the firstborn of the children of Israel:
43 Cada primer hijo de un mes o más fue numerado por su nombre, y el número llegó a veintidos mil doscientos setenta y tres.
And the males by their names, from one month and upward, were twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.
44 Y él Señor dijo a Moisés:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saving:
45 Toma a los levitas en lugar de todos los primeros hijos de los hijos de Israel, y al ganado de los levitas en lugar de su ganado; los levitas han de ser míos; Yo soy el Señor.
Take the Levites for the firstborn of the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites for their cattle, and the Levites shall be mine. I am the Lord.
46 Y el precio que debes dar a los doscientos setenta y tres primeros hijos de los hijos de Israel, que se suman al número de los levitas.
But for the price of the two hundred and seventy-three, of the firstborn of the children of Israel, that exceed the number of the Levites,
47 Serán cinco siclos por cada uno, según la escala del lugar santo (el siclo es veinte gerahs);
Thou shalt take five sides for every head, according to the weight of the sanctuary. A sicle hath twenty obols.
48 Y este dinero, el precio de aquellos sobre el número de los levitas, debe ser dado a Aarón y sus hijos.
And then shalt give the money to Aaron and his sons, the price of them that are above.
49 Entonces Moisés tomó el dinero, el precio de aquellos cuyo lugar no había sido tomado por los levitas;
Moses therefore took the money of them that were above, and whom they had redeemed from the Levites,
50 De los primeros hijos de Israel lo tomó, mil trescientos sesenta y cinco siclos, por la escala del lugar santo;
For the firstborn of the children of Israel, one thousand three hundred and sixty-five sicles, according to the weight of the sanctuary,
51 Y dio el dinero a Aarón y a sus hijos, como el Señor le había dicho a Moisés.
And gave it to Aaron and his sons, according to the word that the Lord had commanded him.
