Nehemías 12

1 Estos son los sacerdotes y los levitas que subieron con Zorobabel, el hijo de Salatiel, y Josué: Seraías, Jeremías, Esdras,

Now, these, are the priests and the Levites, who came up with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua, —Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra;

2 Amarias, Maluc, Hatus,

Amariah, Malluch, Hattush;

3 Secanías, Rehum, Meremot,

Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth;

4 Ido, Gineto, Abias,

Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah;

5 Mijamin, Maadias, Bilga,

Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah;

6 Semaías, y Joiarib, Jedaías.

Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah;

7 Salu, Amoc, Hilcias, Jedaias. Estos fueron los jefes de los sacerdotes y de sus hermanos en los días de Josué.

Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah, —these, were the chiefs of the priests and their brethren, in the days of Jeshua.

8 Y los levitas: Josué, Binuy, Cadmiel, Serebias, Judá, y Matanias, que estaban encargados de la accion de gracias, él y sus hermanos.

And, the Levites, Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, Mattaniah, —over the choirs, he and his brethren;

9 Y Bacbuquias y Uni, sus hermanos, estaban frente a ellos para el desempeño de sus guardas.

and Bakbukiah and Unno their brethren, were over against them, in wards.

10 Y Josué fue el padre de Joiacim, y Joiacim fue el padre de Eliasib, y Eliasib fue el padre de Joiada.

And Jeshua, begat Joiakim, —and Joiakim, begat Eliashib, and, Eliashib, [begat] Joiada;

11 Y Joiada fue el padre de Johanan, y Johanan fue el padre de Jadua.

and, Joiada, begat Jonathan, —and, Jonathan, begat Jaddua.

12 Y en los días de Joacim había sacerdotes, jefes de familia: de Seraías, Meraías; de Jeremías, Hananías;

And, in the days of Joiakim, were priests, ancestral chiefs, —of Seraiah, Meraiah, of Jeremiah, Hananiah;

13 De Esdras, Mesululam; de Amarias, Johanán;

of Ezra, Meshullam, —of Amariah, Jehohanan;

14 De Malicu, Jonatán; de Sebanías, José;

of Malluchi, Jonathan, —of Shebaniah, Joseph;

15 De Harim, Adna; de Meraiot, Helcai;

of Harim, Adna, —of Meraioth, Helkai;

16 De Ido, Zacarías; de Gineton, Mesulam;

of Iddo, Zechariah, —of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

17 De Abías, Zicri; de Miniamin, de Moadias, Piltai;

of Abijah, Zichri, —of Miniamin, of Moadiah, Piltai;

18 De Bilga, Samua; de Semaías, Jonatan;

of Bilgah, Shammua, —of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;

19 Y de Joiarib, Matenai; de Jedaias, Uzi;

and, of Joiarib, Mattenai, —of Jedaiah, Uzzi;

20 De Salai, Calai; de Amoc, Eber;

of Sallai, Kallai, —of Amok, Eber;

21 De Hilcías, Hasabías; de Jedaias, Natanael.

of Hilkiah, Hashabiah, —of Jedaiah, Nethanel.

22 Los levitas en los días de Eliasib, Joiada, Johanan y Jadua, fueron catalogados como jefes de familia; y los sacerdotes, cuando Darío el persa era rey.

The Levites—in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded as ancestral chiefs, —also the priests, unto the reign of Darius the Persian.

23 Los hijos de Leví, jefes de familia, fueron registrados en el libro de las crónicas, incluso hasta los días de Johanán, el hijo de Eliasib.

the sons of Levi, ancestral heads, were written in the book of Chronicles, —even until the days of Johanan, son of Eliashib.

24 Y los jefes de los levitas: Hasabías, Serebias y Josué, el hijo de Cadmiel, con sus hermanos frente a ellos, para bendecir y alabar a Dios según lo ordenó David, el hombre de Dios, durante su respectivo turno de servicio.

And, the chiefs of the Levites, Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise—to give thanks, by the commandment of David the man of God, —ward joined to ward.

25 Matanias, y Bacbuquias, Obadias, Mesulam, Talmon, Acub, eran porteros que vigilaban las puertas de los almacenes.

Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were watchers, doorkeepers of the ward, in the storehouses of the gates.

26 Estos fueron en los días de Joacim, el hijo de Josué, el hijo de Josadac, y en los días de Nehemías el gobernador y Esdras el sacerdote, el escriba.

These, were in the days of Joiakim, son of Jeshua, son of Jozadak, —and in the days of Nehemiah the pasha, and Ezra the priest the scribe.

27 Y cuando llegó el momento de santificar el muro de Jerusalén, enviaron a los levitas de todos sus lugares para que vinieran a Jerusalén, para celebrar la fiesta de dedicación y acción de gracias con alegría, con alabanza y melodía, con címbalos, arpas y liras.

And, at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, they sought the Levites, out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, —to keep the dedication and the rejoicing, both with thanksgiving and with music, cymbals, harps, and with lyres.

28 Y los hijos de los cantores se reunieron desde las tierras bajas alrededor de de las aldeas de los netofatitas,

So the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, —both out of the circuit round about Jerusalem, and out of the villages of the Netophathites;

29 Y de Bet-gilgal y de los campos de Geba y Azmavet: porque los cantores habían hecho aldeas alrededor de Jerusalén.

also out of Beth-gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba, and Azmaveth, —for, villages, had the singers builded for themselves, round about Jerusalem.

30 Y los sacerdotes y los levitas se purificaron; e hicieron purificar a la gente, y las puertas de la ciudad y la muralla.

And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, —and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

31 Entonces hice que los gobernantes de Judá subieran a la muralla, y puse en posición dos grandes bandas de ellos que alababan, caminando en líneas ordenadas; uno fue a la derecha en la pared, en dirección a la puerta donde se colocaron los desechos;

Then brought I up the rulers of Judah upon the wall, —and I appointed two large choirs, even to go in procession to the right, upon the wall, towards the dung-gate;

32 Y después de ellos fueron Osaias y la mitad de los gobernantes de Judá.

and after them went Hoshaiah, and half the rulers of Judah;

33 Y Azarías, Esdras y Mesulam,

then Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam;

34 Judá y Benjamín y Semaías y Jeremías,

Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah;

35 Y algunos de los hijos de los sacerdotes con instrumentos de viento; Zacarías, hijo de Jonatán, hijo de Semaías, hijo de Matanías, hijo de Micaías, hijo de Zacur, hijo de Asaf,

and, of the sons of the priests, with trumpets, Zechariah—son of Jonathan—son of Shemaiah—son of Mattaniah, son of Micaiah, son of Zaccur, son of Asaph;

36 Y sus hermanos, Semaías, y Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Natanael, Juda y Hanani, con los instrumentos musicales de David, el hombre de Dios; y Esdras el escriba estaba a la cabeza;

and his brethren—Shemaiah and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, and Judah, Hanani, with the instruments of music of David, the man of God, —with Ezra the scribe before them;

37 Y junto a la entrada de la fuente y directamente delante de ellos, subieron por los escalones de la ciudad de David, en la pendiente de la pared, sobre la casa de David, hasta la puerta del Agua hacia el este.

and, over they fountain gate and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, —above the house of David, even as far as the water-gate, eastward.

38 Y la otra banda de los que alababan iba a la izquierda, y yo fui tras ellos con la mitad de la gente, en la pared, sobre la torre de los hornos, hasta la pared ancha;

And, the second choir, was going over against them, I, following it, —with the half of the people upon the wall, above the tower of the ovens, even as far as the broad wall;

39 Y sobre la puerta de Efraín y junto a la puerta vieja y la puerta de los Peces y la torre de Hananeel y la torre de los Cien, hasta la puerta de las Ovejas: y en la puerta de los Guardias se detuvieron.

and above the gate of Ephraim, and upon the old gate, and upon the fish-gate, and the tower of Hananel, and the tower of Hammeah, even as far as the sheep-gate, —and they came to a stand, at the gate of the guard.

40 Así que las dos bandas de los que dieron alabanza tomaron sus posiciones en el templo de Dios, y yo y la mitad de los jefes conmigo:

So the two choirs, came to a stand, at the house of God, —and I, and half the deputies with me;

41 Y los sacerdotes; Eliacim, Maaseias, Miniamin, Micaias, Elioenai, Zacarías, y Hananias, con instrumentos de viento;

and, the priests—Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;

42 Y Maasias y Semaías y Eleazar y Uzi y Johanan y Malquias y Elam y Ezer. Y los cantores, supervisados por Jezrahiah, alzaron sus cantos en voz alta.

and Maaseiah and Shemaiah and Eleazar and Uzzi and Jehohanan and Malchijah and Elam and Ezer, —and the musicians sounded, aloud with Jezrahiah who was over them.

43 Y aquel día hicieron grandes ofrendas y se alegraron; porque Dios los había alegrado con gran gozo; y las mujeres y los niños se alegraron con ellos, de modo que la alegría de Jerusalén llegó a oídos de los que estaban lejos.

And they sacrificed, on that day, great sacrifices, and rejoiced, for, God, had caused them to rejoice with great joy, moreover also, the women and children, rejoiced, —so that the rejoicing of Jerusalem was heard afar off.

44 Y ese día pusieron a algunos hombres sobre las habitaciones donde estaban almacenadas las cosas que habían sido dadas, por las ofrendas y los primeros frutos y las décimas, que conforme a la ley llegaban las cantidades, de los campos de Cada pueblo, fijado por la ley para los sacerdotes y los levitas, porque Judá se alegró a causa de los sacerdotes y los levitas que estaban en sus lugares.

And there were set in charge, on that day, certain men, over the chambers for the treasures, for the heave-offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them, out of the fields of the cities, the portions appointed by the law, for the priests, and for the Levites, —for, the joy of Judah, was over the priests and over the Levites, who were remaining.

45 Y ellos guardaban la ordenanza de la purificación y culto a su Dios, y fueron responsables de purificar las cosas, y también lo hicieron los cantores y los encargados de las puertas, como lo ordenaron David y Salomón, su hijo.

So they kept the charge of their God, and the charge of the purification, and [so did] the singers and the doorkeepers, —according to the commandment of David and of Solomon his son.

46 Porque en los días de David y Asaf en el pasado, había un maestro de la música, de cantos de agradecimiento y alabanza a Dios.

For, in the days of David and Asaph, of old, there were chiefs of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving, unto God.

47 Y todo Israel en los días de Zorobabel y en los días de Nehemías dio lo que necesitaban a los cantores y los encargados de las puertas día tras día: e hicieron santos los ofrecimientos para los levitas; y los levitas hicieron lo mismo con los hijos de Aarón.

Now, all Israel—in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, used to give the portions of the singers and the doorkeepers, the need of a day upon its day, —and they hallowed them unto the Levites, and, the Levites, hallowed them unto the sons of Aaron.
