Miqueas 5

1 O hija de guerreros, Ahora prepara tu defensa; nos sitiaron; darán un golpe en la cara al juez de Israel con una vara.

Now shalt thou be laid waste, O daughter of the robber: they have laid siege against us, with a rod shall they strike the cheek of the judge of Israel.

2 Y tú, Belén de Efrata, la menor de las familias de Judá, de ti vendrá uno que será el gobernante en Israel; cuya salida ha sido propuesta desde el pasado, desde los días eternos.

AND THOU, BETHLEHEM Ephrata, art a little one among the thousands of Juda: out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be the ruler in Israel: and his going forth is from the beginning, from the days of eternity.

3 Por esta causa, él los abandonará hasta el momento en que la mujer que está embarazada haya dado a luz; entonces el resto de sus hermanos volverá a los hijos de Israel.

Therefore will he give them up even till the time wherein she that travaileth shall bring forth: and the remnant of his brethren shall be converted to the children of Israel.

4 Y él tomará su lugar y dará de comer a su rebaño en la fuerza del Señor, en la gloria del nombre del Señor su Dios; y permanecerán, por que en aquel tiempo Él será engrandecido hasta los confines de la tierra.

And he shall stand, and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the height of the name of the Lord his God: and they shall be converted, for now shall he be magnified even to the ends of the earth.

5 Y esta será nuestra paz: cuando el asirio entre a nuestro país y cuando pisotee nuestros palacios, entonces levantaremos contra él a siete guardianes de los rebaños y ocho jefes de entre el pueblo.

And this man shall be our peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land, and when he shall set his foot in our houses: and we shall raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

6 Y destruirán la tierra de Asiria con la espada, y la tierra de Nimrod con el filo de la espada; nos dará la salvación del asirio cuando venga a nuestro país, cuando sus pies entren en el límite de nuestra tierra.

And they shall feed the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nemrod with the spears thereof: and he shall deliver us from the Assyrian, when he shall come into our land, and when he shall tread in our borders.

7 Y el remanente de Jacob estará entre la multitud de pueblos como el rocío del Señor, como aguaceros sobre la hierba, que no esperan al hombre, ni esperan a los hijos del hombre.

And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many peoples as a dew from the Lord, and as drops upon the grass, which waiteth not for man, nor tarrieth for the children of men.

8 Y el remanente de Jacob estará entre las naciones, en medio de muchos pueblos, como un león entre las bestias del bosque, como un leoncillo entre los rebaños de ovejas; que si pasa, pisotea y desgarra, y no habrá quien libre.

And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many peoples as a lion among the beasts of the forests, and as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who when he shall go through and tread down, and take, there is none to deliver.

9 Tu mano se levanta contra los que están contra ti, y todos tus enemigos serán exterminados.

Thy hand shall be lifted up over thy enemies, and all thy enemies shall be cut off.

10 Y sucederá en ese día, dice el Señor, que te quitaré tus caballos y destruiré tus carruajes de guerra:

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that I will take away thy horses out of the midst of thee, and will destroy thy chariots.

11 Destruiré los pueblos de tu tierra y que derriben todos tus fortalezas:

And I will destroy the cities of thy land, and will throw down all thy strong holds,

12 Pondré fin a tus hechicerías, y no tendrás más adivinos:

and I will take away sorceries out of thy hand, and there shall be no divinations in thee.

13 Destruiré tus imágenes y tus columnas; y ya no rendirás culto a la obra de tus manos.

And I will destroy thy graven things, and thy statues out of the midst of thee: and thou shalt no more adore the works of thy hands.

14 Haré que saquen a sus Aseras de entre ustedes, y enviaré destrucción a sus ciudades.

And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: and will crush thy cities.

15 Y mi castigo se efectuará sobre las naciones con una ira ardiente, sobre las naciones que no obedecieron.

And I will execute vengeance in wrath and in indignation among all the nations that have not given ear.
