San Mateo 7
1 No seas juez de los demás, y no serás juzgado.
“Do not judge, so that you will not be judged.
2 Porque como has estado juzgando, así serás juzgado, y con tu medida se te medirá.
For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
3 ¿Y por qué tomas nota de la paja en el ojo de tu hermano, pero no tomas nota de la viga que está en tu ojo?
Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the beam that is in your own eye?
4 ¿O cómo le dirás a tu hermano: Déjame sacar la paja de tu ojo, cuando tú mismo tienes una viga en tu ojo?
Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye,’ and behold, the beam is in your own eye?
5 Hipócrita, primero saca la viga de tu ojo, entonces verás claramente para sacar la paja del ojo de tu hermano.
You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye.
6 No den lo que es sagrado a los perros, ni pongan sus perlas delante de los cerdos, no sea que los mastiquen y los ataquen.
“Do not give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
7 Pidan y se les dará; lo que están buscando lo encontrarán; y él que llama a a la puerta se le abrirá:
“Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.
8 Porque a todos los que piden reciben; y el que está buscando encuentra, y al que llama a a la puerta, se le abre.
For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.
9 ¿O quién de ustedes, si su hijo le pide pan, le dará una piedra?
Or who is there among you who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?
10 O si pide un pescado, ¿le dará una serpiente?
Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent?
11 Pues si ustedes, siendo malvados, son capaz de dar cosas buenas a sus hijos, ¿cuánto más dará su Padre celestial buenas cosas a los que le pidan algo?
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
12 Entonces, traten a otros, así como ustedes quieran que los traten a ustedes: porque esta es la enseñanza de la ley y los profetas.
Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
13 Entra por la puerta angosta; porque la puerta es ancha y abierta es el camino que lleva a la destrucción, y muchos son los que entran por ella.
“Enter in by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it.
14 Porque estrecha es la puerta y angosto el camino a la vida, y solo pocos son los que la encuentran.
How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life! There are few who find it.
15 Cuidense de los falsos profetas, que vienen a ustedes con vestiduras de ovejas, pero por dentro son lobos rapaces.
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
16 Por sus frutos los conocerán. ¿Los hombres obtienen uvas de espinas o higos de cardos?
By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles?
17 Así, todo buen árbol da buenos frutos; pero el árbol malo da mal fruto.
Even so, every good tree produces good fruit, but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.
18 No es posible que un buen árbol dé malos frutos, y un árbol malo de buenos frutos.
A good tree cannot produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.
19 Todo árbol que no da buen fruto es cortado y puesto en el fuego.
Every tree that does not grow good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 Así que por sus frutos los conocerán.
Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
21 No todos los que me dicen: Señor, Señor, entrarán en el reino de los cielos; pero el que hace la voluntad de mi Padre que está en el cielo.
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Muchos me dirán en aquel día: Señor, Señor, ¿no fuimos profetas en tu nombre, echamos fuera demonios, y en tu nombre hicimos muchos milagros?
Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did not we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’
23 Y entonces les diré: Nunca los conocí; aléjense de mí, obradores del mal.
Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’
24 Entonces, a todos aquellos quienes oyen mis palabras y las hacen, será como un hombre sabio que hizo su casa sobre una roca;
“Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
25 Y la lluvia descendió, y hubo un torrente de aguas, y los vientos empujaron contra aquella casa, pero no se movió; porque estaba basado en la roca.
The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
26 Y cualquiera que oye mis palabras y no las hacen, será como un necio que hizo su casa en la arena;
Everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
27 Y descendió lluvia y hubo un torrente de aguas, y los vientos empujaron contra aquella casa; y descendió y grande fue su caída.
The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell—and its fall was great.”
28 Y sucedió que cuando Jesús hubo llegado al final de estas palabras, el pueblo se sorprendió de su enseñanza,
When Jesus had finished saying these things, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching,
29 Porque enseñaba como quien tiene autoridad, y no como sus escribas.
for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.
