San Mateo 5
1 Y viendo grandes multitudes de personas, subió al monte; y cuando se sentó, sus discípulos se le acercaron.
When he sawe the people he went vp into a mountayne and when he was set his disciples came to hym
2 Y con estas palabras les dio enseñanza, diciendo:
and he opened hys mouthe and taught them sayinge:
3 Bienaventurados los pobres en espíritu; porque el reino de los cielos es de ellos.
Blessed are the povre in sprete: for theirs is the kyngdome of heven.
4 Bienaventurados los que están tristes; porque ellos serán consolados.
Blessed are they that morne: for they shalbe conforted.
5 Bienaventurados los amables: porque la tierra será su herencia.
Blessed are the meke: for they shall inheret the erth.
6 Bienaventurados aquellos que tienen hambre y sed de justicia, porque ellos serán saciados.
Blessed are they which honger and thurst for rightewesnes: for they shalbe filled.
7 Bienaventurados los que tienen misericordia; porque ellos recibirán misericordia.
Blessed are ye mercifull: for they shall obteyne mercy.
8 Bienaventurados los limpios de corazón, porque ellos verán a Dios.
Blessed are the pure in herte: for they shall se God.
9 Bienaventurados son los pacificadores, porque serán llamados hijos de Dios.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shalbe called the chyldren of God.
10 Bienaventurados los que son perseguidos por causa de la justicia, porque el reino de los cielos será suyo.
Blessed are they which suffre persecucio for rightwesnes sake: for theirs ys the kyngdome of heuen.
11 Bienaventurado son cuando los hombres los insulten, y son crueles con ustedes, y dicen maldades contra ustedes falsamente, por mi culpa.
Blessed are ye when men reuyle you and persecute you and shall falsly say all manner of yvell saynges agaynst you for my sake.
12 Alégrense y gócense; porque su recompensa es grande en el cielo; porque así fueron atacados los profetas que fueron antes de ti.
Reioyce and be glad for greate is youre rewarde in heven. For so persecuted they ye Prophetes which were before youre dayes.
13 Ustedes son la sal de la tierra; pero si la sal perdiera su sabor, ¿con qué será salada? entonces es buena para nada más que para ser expulsada y aplastada por los hombres.
ye are ye salt of the erthe: but and yf ye salt have lost hir saltnes what can be salted ther with? It is thence forthe good for nothynge but to be cast oute and to be troade vnder fote of men.
14 Ustedes son la luz del mundo. Una ciudad puesta sobre una colina no se puede esconder.
Ye are ye light of the worlde. A cite yt is set on an hill cannot be hid
15 Y una luz ardiente no se pone debajo de una vasija, sino sobre su mesa; para que sus rayos puedan estar brillando sobre todos los que están en la casa.
nether do men lyght a cadell and put it vnder a busshell but on a candelstick and it lighteth all that are in the house.
16 Así también que su luz brille delante de los hombres, para que puedan ver sus buenas obras y glorificar a su Padre que está en los cielos.
Let youre light so shyne before men yt they maye se youre good workes and glorify youre father which is in heven.
17 No se piense que he venido para poner fin a la ley o a los profetas. No he venido para su destrucción, sino para cumplirla.
Thinke not yt I am come to destroye the lawe or the Prophets: no I am nott come to destroye them but to fulfyll them.
18 En verdad les digo, hasta que el cielo y la tierra lleguen a su fin, ni la letra más pequeña o jota será tomada de ninguna manera de la ley, hasta que todas las cosas estén cumplidas.
For truely I saye vnto you till heven and erth perisshe one iott or one tytle of the lawe shall not scape tyll all be fulfilled.
19 Cualquiera que quebrante uno de estos mandamientos más pequeños de estas leyes, y enseñe a los hombres a hacer lo mismo, será considerado él más pequeño en el reino de los cielos; pero el que guarda las leyes, y enseñe a otros a guardarlas, será nombrado grande en el reino de los cielos.
Whosoever breaketh one of these lest commaundmentes and teacheth men so he shalbe called the leest in the kyngdome of heve. But whosoever obserueth and teacheth ye same shal be called greate in the kyngdome of heven.
20 Porque les digo que si su justicia no es mayor que la justicia de los escribas y fariseos, nunca entrarán en el reino de los cielos.
For I saye vnto you except youre rightewesnes excede the righetewesnes of ye Scribes and Pharises ye canot entre into ye kyngdome of heven.
21 Saben que en tiempos antiguos se dijo, no matarás; y, el que mata será culpable de juicio:
Ye have herde howe it was sayd vnto the of ye olde tyme: Thou shalt not kyll. For whoso ever kylleth shall be in daunger of iudgemet.
22 Pero yo les digo que cualquiera que esté enojado con su hermano será culpable de juicio; y el que le dice a su hermano, Raca, será culpable ante el Sanedrín; y el que dice: Tú insensato, estará en peligro del infierno de fuego. (Geenna g1067)
But I say vnto you whosoever is angre with hys brother shalbe in daunger of iudgement. Whosoeuer sayeth vnto his brother Racha shalbe in dauger of a cousell. But whosoeuer sayeth thou fole shalbe in dauger of hell fyre. (Geenna g1067)
23 Si entonces estás haciendo una ofrenda en el altar y allí te viene a la mente que tu hermano tiene algo en tu contra,
Therfore whe thou offrest thy gifte at the altare and their remembrest that thy brother hath ought agaynst the:
24 Mientras que tu ofrenda está todavía delante del altar, primero ve y haz las paces con tu hermano, luego ven y haz tu ofrecimiento.
leue there thyne offrynge before the altre and go thy waye first and be reconcyled to thy brother and then come and offre thy gyfte.
25 Si alguien te demanda y te quiere llevar a juicio, Lleguen a un acuerdo rápidamente con él que tiene una causa contra ustedes, mientras ustedes está con él en el camino, para que no los entreguen ante el juez y el juez no los lleve a la policía y sean echados en prisión.
Agre with thyne adversary quicklye whyles thou arte in ye waye with hym lest that adversary deliver ye to ye iudge and ye iudge delivre ye to ye minister and the thou be cast into preson.
26 En verdad les digo, no saldrán de allí hasta que hayas pagado el último cuadrante.
I say vnto ye verely: thou shalt not come out thece till thou have payed ye utmost farthige.
27 Han sabido que se dijo: No cometerás adulterio.
Ye haue hearde howe it was sayde to the of olde tyme: Thou shalt not comitt advoutrie.
28 Pero yo les digo que todos los que tienen los ojos puestos en una mujer para desearla ya adulteró con ella en su corazón.
But I say vnto you that whosoeuer looketh on a wyfe lustynge after her hathe comitted advoutrie with hir alredy in his hert.
29 Y si tu ojo derecho te hace caer en pecado, sácalo y échalo lejos de ti; porque es mejor sufrir la pérdida de una parte, que todo tu cuerpo ir al infierno. (Geenna g1067)
Wherfore yf thy right eye offende ye plucke hym out and caste him from the. Better it is for the yt one of thy membres perisshe then that thy hole bodye shuld be cast into hell. (Geenna g1067)
30 Y si tu diestra te hace caer en pecado, córtala y échala de ti; porque es mejor sufrir la pérdida de una parte, que todo tu cuerpo ir al infierno. (Geenna g1067)
Also if thy right honde offend ye cut hym of and caste hym from the. Better yt ys that one of thy membres perisshe then that all thy body shulde be caste in to hell. (Geenna g1067)
31 Una vez más, se dijo: Quienquiera que rechace a su esposa tiene que darle una declaración de divorcio por escrito:
It ys sayd whosoever put awaye his wyfe let hym geve her a testymonyall also of the devorcement.
32 Pero yo les digo a usted que todos los que repudian a su esposa por cualquier otra causa, por inmoralidad sexual, la hace que ella adultere y el que se casa con la divorciada comete adulterio.
But I say vnto you: whosoever put awaye his wyfe (except it be for fornicacion) causeth her to breake matrymony. And whosoever maryeth her that is devorsed breaketh wedlocke.
33 También han oído que se dijo en tiempos pasados: No pronuncien falsos juramentos, sino que cumplan sus juramentos al Señor.
Agayne ye haue hearde how it was sayd to the of olde tyme thou shalt not forsuere thy selfe but shalt performe thyne othe to God.
34 Pero yo les digo: No juren, no por el cielo, porque es el trono de Dios;
But I saye vnto you swere not at all nether by heue for it ys Goddes seate:
35 O por la tierra, porque es el lugar de descanso para su pie; o por Jerusalén, porque es la ciudad del gran Rey.
nor yet by the erth for it is his fote stole: nether by Ierusalem for it ys ye cyte of yt greate kynge:
36 No pueden hacer un juramento junto a su cabeza, porque no pueden hacer que un cabello sea blanco o negro.
nether shalt thou sweare by thy heed because thou canst not make one white heer or blacke:
37 Pero permitan que sus palabras sean simples, sí o no: y lo que sea más que esto procede del mal.
But your comunicacion shalbe ye ye: nay nay. For whatsoeuer is more then yt cometh of yvell.
38 Ustedes han oído que fue dicho: Ojo por ojo, y diente por diente:
Ye have hearde how it ys sayd an eye for an eye: a tothe for a tothe.
39 Pero yo les digo: No resistan al que es malo; antes a cualquiera que te hiera en la mejilla derecha vuélvele también la otra.
But I saye to you that ye resist not wroge. But whosoever geve the a blowe on thy right cheke tourne to him the other.
40 Y si alguno va y te demanda y te quita el abrigo, deja que se lleve la túnica también.
And yf eny man will sue the at the lawe and take awaye thy coote let hym have thy cloocke also.
41 Y quienquiera que te hace llevar carga por una milla, llevala dos.
And whosoever wyll copell the to goo a myle goo wyth him twayne.
42 Dale a quien te pida, y al que te quiera pedir prestado no se lo rehúses.
Geve to him that axeth and fro him that wolde borowe tourne not awaye.
43 Ustedes sabes que fue dicho: Ten amor por tu prójimo y aborrece a tu enemigo.
Ye have hearde how it is sayde: thou shalt love thyne neghbour and hate thine enimy.
44 Pero yo les digo: ten amor por tu enemigo, y ora por aquellos que te maldicen;
But I saye vnto you love youre enimies. Blesse the that coursse you. Do good to them that hate you. Praye for them which doo you wronge and persecute you
45 Para que sean hijos de su Padre que está en los cielos; porque él hace salir su sol y alumbra sobre malos y buenos, y él envía lluvia sobre el hombre recto y sobre el pecador.
that ye maye be ye chyldern of youre father that is in heauen: for he maketh his sunne to aryse on ye yvell and on the good and sendeth his reyn on the iuste and vniuste.
46 Porque si tienes amor por aquellos que te quieren, ¿qué crédito tienes? ¿los publicanos no hacen también lo mismo?
For yf ye love them which love you: what rewarde shall ye have? Doo not the Publicans euen so?
47 Y si dices: Buen día, solo a tus hermanos, ¿qué haces más que los demás? No hacen también los gentiles lo mismo?
And yf ye be frendly to youre brethren onlye: what singuler thynge doo ye? Do not the Publicans lyke wyse?
48 Entonces sean perfectos, así como su Padre en el cielo es perfecto.
ye shall therfore be perfecte eve as youre father which is in heauen is perfecte.
