San Mateo 25
1 Entonces el reino de los cielos será como diez vírgenes, que tomaron sus lámparas, y salieron con el propósito de buscar al esposo.
Then shall the kingdom of the heavens be made like to ten virgins that having taken their torches, went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 Y cinco de ellas eran insensatas, y cinco prudentes.
And five of them were prudent and five foolish.
3 Porque las necias, cuando tomaron sus luces, no tomaron aceite con ellas.
They that were foolish took their torches and did not take oil with them;
4 Pero las prudentes tomaron aceite en sus lámparas.
but the prudent took oil in their vessels with their torches.
5 Ahora el esposo tardó mucho en llegar, y todos se fueron a dormir.
Now the bridegroom tarrying, they all grew heavy and slept.
6 Pero en el medio de la noche hay un grito, ¡él esposo viene! Salgan a recibirlo.
But in [the] middle of [the] night there was a cry, Behold, the bridegroom; go forth to meet him.
7 Entonces todas esas vírgenes se levantaron, y prepararon sus lámparas.
Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their torches.
8 Y las necias dijeron a las prudentes: Danos de tu aceite; porque nuestras lámparas se están apagando.
And the foolish said to the prudent, Give us of your oil, for our torches are going out.
9 Pero las prudentes respondieron, diciendo: Puede que no haya suficiente para nosotras y para ustedes; Sería mejor para ustedes ir a los comerciantes y comprar petróleo para ustedes mismas.
But the prudent answered saying, [We cannot, ] lest it might not suffice for us and for you. Go rather to those that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 Y mientras iban a buscar aceite, vino el esposo; y las que estaban listas entraron con él a la boda; y la puerta se cerró.
But as they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and the [ones that were] ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut.
11 Después vinieron las otras vírgenes, diciendo: Señor, Señor, déjanos entrar.
Afterwards come also the rest of the virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us;
12 Pero él respondió y dijo: En verdad les digo que no les conozco.
but he answering said, Verily I say unto you, I do not know you.
13 Vigila, entonces, porque no saben del día o de la hora que él Hijo del hombre ha de venir.
Watch therefore, for ye know not the day nor the hour.
14 Porque es como cuando un hombre, a punto de emprender un viaje, reunió a sus siervos y les dio que cuidaran su propiedad.
For [it is] as [if] a man going away out of a country called his own bondmen and delivered to them his substance.
15 Y a uno le dio cinco talentos, a otro dos, a otro uno; a todos conforme a su capacidad; y él se fue de viaje.
And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to each according to his particular ability, and immediately went away out of the country.
16 Enseguida, el que había recibido los cinco talentos fue y negoció con ellos e hizo cinco más.
And he that had received the five talents went and trafficked with them, and made five other talents.
17 De la misma manera, al que le dieron los dos recibió dos más.
In like manner also he that [had received] the two, [he also] gained two others.
18 Pero el que le fue dado uno se fue y lo puso en un hoyo en la tierra, y guardó el dinero de su señor en un lugar secreto.
But he that had received the one went and dug in the earth, and hid the money of his lord.
19 Después de mucho tiempo, viene el señor de aquellos siervos, y hace su cuenta con ellos.
And after a long time the lord of those bondmen comes and reckons with them.
20 Y el que tenía los cinco talentos, vino con sus otros cinco talentos, diciendo: Señor, tú diste cinco talentos a mi cuidado: mira, tengo cinco más.
And he that had received the five talents came to [him] and brought five other talents, saying, [My] lord, thou deliveredst me five talents; behold, I have gained five other talents besides them.
21 Y su señor le dijo: Bien hecho, siervo bueno y verdadero: has sido fiel en lo pequeño, yo te daré el control sobre las cosas grandes: toma tu parte en la alegría de tu señor.
His lord said to him, Well, good and faithful bondman, thou wast faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things: enter into the joy of thy lord.
22 Y vino el que tenía los dos talentos, y dijo: Señor, tú me diste dos talentos: he aquí, tengo otros dos.
And he also that had received the two talents came to [him] and said, [My] lord, thou deliveredst me two talents; behold, I have gained two other talents besides them.
23 Y su señor le dijo: Bien hecho, siervo bueno y fiel: has sido fiel en lo pequeño, yo te daré el control sobre las cosas grandes: toma tu parte en la alegría de tu señor.
His lord said to him, Well, good and faithful bondman, thou wast faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
24 Y vino el que tenía un solo talento, y dijo: Señor, sabía que eres un hombre duro, y que siegas donde no sembraste, y recoges donde no esparciste.
And he also that had received the one talent coming to [him] said, [My] lord, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou hadst not sowed, and gathering from where thou hadst not scattered,
25 Y yo tuve miedo, y fui, y puse tu talento en la tierra: aquí está lo que es tuyo.
and being afraid I went away and hid thy talent in the earth; behold, thou hast that which is thine.
26 Pero su señor en respuesta le dijo: Eres un siervo malo y perezoso; si sabías que siego donde no sembré y que recojo donde no esparcí.
And his lord answering said to him, Wicked and slothful bondman, thou knewest that I reap where I had not sowed, and gather from where I had not scattered;
27 ¿Por qué no pusiste mi dinero en el banco y, a al volver yo, hubiera recibido lo que es mío con intereses?
thou oughtest then to have put my money to the money-changers, and when I came I should have got what is mine with interest.
28 Quita, pues, su talento y dáselo a quien tiene los diez talentos.
Take therefore the talent from him, and give it to him that has the ten talents:
29 Porque a todo el que tiene se le dará, y tendrá más; pero al que no tiene, aun lo que tiene le será quitado.
for to every one that has shall be given, and he shall be in abundance; but from him that has not, that even which he has shall be taken from him.
30 Y al siervo inútil echar en las tinieblas de fuera: allí será el llanto y crujir de dientes.
And cast out the useless bondman into the outer darkness; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
31 Pero cuando el Hijo del hombre venga en su gloria, y todos los ángeles con él, se sentará en su trono de gloria.
But when the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit down upon his throne of glory,
32 Y delante de él todas las naciones se juntarán; y serán separados el uno del otro, como las ovejas se separan de las cabras por el pastor.
and all the nations shall be gathered before him; and he shall separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;
33 Y pondrá las ovejas a su derecha, pero las cabras a la izquierda.
and he will set the sheep on his right hand, and the goats on [his] left.
34 Entonces el Rey dirá a los que están a su derecha: Vengan, ustedes que tienen la bendición de mi Padre, en el reino preparado para ustedes desde la fundación del mundo:
Then shall the King say to those on his right hand, Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from [the] world's foundation:
35 Porque yo tuve hambre, y ustedes me dieron de comer: tuve sed, y ustedes me dieron de beber: fui forastero y me hospedaron;
for I hungered, and ye gave me to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in;
36 No tenía ropa, y me la dieron: cuando estuve enfermo me visitaron o en la cárcel, vinieron a mí.
naked, and ye clothed me; I was ill, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came to me.
37 Entonces los justos responderán a él, diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos con hambre, y te dimos de comer? o sediento y te dimos de beber?
Then shall the righteous answer him saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungering, and nourished thee; or thirsting, and gave thee to drink?
38 ¿Y cuándo te vimos vagando y te dimos alojamiento? o falto de ropa, y te la dimos?
and when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in; or naked, and clothed thee?
39 ¿Y cuándo te vimos enfermo, o en la cárcel, y vinimos a ti?
and when saw we thee ill, or in prison, and came to thee?
40 Y el Rey responderá y les dirá: De cierto les digo, porque lo hiciste al más pequeño de estos, mis hermanos, me lo hiciste a mí.
And the King answering shall say to them, Verily, I say to you, Inasmuch as ye have done it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it to me.
41 Entonces dirá a los que están a la izquierda: “Salgan de mí, malditos”, al fuego eterno que está listo para el Maligno y sus ángeles: (aiōnios g166)
Then shall he say also to those on the left, Go from me, cursed, into eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: (aiōnios g166)
42 Porque yo necesitaba comida, y ustedes no me la dieron; Necesitaba beber, y no me diste de beber;
for I hungered, and ye gave me not to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave me not to drink;
43 Vagué, y no me hospedaron; sin ropa, y no me dieron ropa; enfermo, y en prisión, y ustedes no vinieron a mí.
I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye did not clothe me; ill, and in prison, and ye did not visit me.
44 Entonces responderán, diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos necesitado de comida o bebida, o vagando, o sin ropa, o enfermo, o en la cárcel, y no te cuidamos?
Then shall they also answer saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungering, or thirsting, or a stranger, or naked, or ill, or in prison, and have not ministered to thee?
45 Entonces él les responderá, diciendo: De cierto les digo, porque no lo hiciste al más humilde de estos, no me lo hiciste a mí.
Then shall he answer them saying, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as ye have not done it to one of these least, neither have ye done it to me.
