Marcos 5
1 Y llegaron al otro lado del mar, a la tierra de Gerasa.
And they came ouer to the other side of the sea into the countrey of the Gadarens.
2 Y cuando él había salido de la barca, inmediatamente vino del cementerio un hombre con un espíritu inmundo.
And when he was come out of the shippe, there met him incontinently out of the graues, a man which had an vncleane spirit:
3 Estaba viviendo entre las tumbas, y nadie podía retenerlo, no, ni con una cadena;
Who had his abiding among the graues, and no man could binde him, no not with chaines:
4 Porque frecuentemente había sido atado con cadenas y cadenas de hierro, y las cadenas habían sido cortadas y las cadenas quebradas por él; y ningún hombre era lo suficientemente fuerte como para controlarlo.
Because that when hee was often bounde with fetters and chaines, he plucked the chaines asunder, and brake the fetters in pieces, neither could any man tame him.
5 Y todo el tiempo, de día y de noche, en el cementerio y en las montañas, él gritaba y se cortaba con piedras.
And alwayes both night and day he cryed in the mountaines, and in the graues, and strooke himselfe with stones.
6 Y cuando vio a Jesús desde lejos, fue rápidamente hacia él y le dio culto;
And when he saw Iesus afarre off, he ranne, and worshipped him,
7 Y clamando a gran voz, dijo: ¿Qué tengo que ver contigo, Jesús, Hijo del Dios Altísimo? En el nombre de Dios, no seas cruel conmigo.
And cryed with a loude voyce, and saide, What haue I to doe with thee, Iesus the Sonne of the most high God? I will that thou sweare to me by God, that thou torment me not.
8 Porque Jesús le había dicho: Sal de este hombre, espíritu inmundo.
(For hee saide vnto him, Come out of the man, thou vncleane spirit.)
9 Y Jesús dijo: ¿Cuál es tu nombre? Y él respondió: Mi nombre es Legión, porque somos muchos.
And he asked him, What is thy name? and hee answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
10 Y le rogó una y otra vez que no lo echara fuera de ahí.
And hee prayed him instantly, that hee would not send them away out of the countrey.
11 Ahora, en la ladera de la montaña, había una gran manada de cerdos obteniendo su comida.
Now there was there in the mountaines a great heard of swine, feeding.
12 Y le dijeron: Envíanos a los cerdos, para que podamos entrar en ellos.
And all ye deuils besought him, saying, Send vs into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13 Y él los dejó hacerlo. Y los espíritus inmundos salieron y entraron en los cerdos; y la manada se precipitó por una pendiente pronunciada hacia el mar, como dos mil de ellos; y llegaron a su muerte en el mar.
And incontinently Iesus gaue them leaue. Then the vncleane spirites went out, and entred into the swine, and the heard ranne headlong from the high banke into the sea, (and there were about two thousand swine) and they were choked vp in the sea.
14 Y sus cuidadores salieron corriendo y dieron cuenta de ello en la ciudad y en el campo. Y la gente vino a ver lo que había sucedido.
And the swineheards fled, and told it in the citie, and in the countrey, and they came out to see what it was that was done.
15 Y vinieron a Jesús, y vieron al hombre en quien habían estado los espíritus malignos sentados, vestidos y con pleno uso de sus sentidos, y estaban llenos de temor.
And they came to Iesus, and sawe him that had bene possessed with the deuil, and had the legion, sit both clothed, and in his right minde: and they were afraide.
16 Y los que lo habían visto les contaron lo que le habían hecho a él los espíritus malignos y el destino de los cerdos.
And they that saw it, tolde them, what was done to him that was possessed with the deuil, and concerning the swine.
17 Y le pidieron que saliera de su pueblo.
Then they began to pray him, that hee would depart from their coastes.
18 Y cuando subía al bote, el hombre en quien habían estado los espíritus malignos tenía un gran deseo de venir con él.
And when he was come into the shippe, he that had bene possessed with the deuil, prayed him that he might be with him.
19 Y no lo dejó venir con él, sino que le dijo: Vete a tu casa, a tus amigos, y dales nuevas de las grandes cosas que el Señor ha hecho por ti, y de cómo tuvo misericordia de ti.
Howbeit, Iesus would not suffer him, but said vnto him, Goe thy way home to thy friendes, and shewe them what great thinges the Lord hath done vnto thee, and howe hee hath had compassion on thee.
20 Y él siguió su camino, y publicó en el pueblo de Decápolis qué grandes cosas había hecho Jesús por él; y todos los hombres estaban maravillados.
So he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis, what great things Iesus had done vnto him: and all men did marueile.
21 Y pasando Jesús otra vez en la barca al otro lado, vino a él gran número de personas, y él estaba junto al mar.
And when Iesus was come ouer againe by ship vnto the other side, a great multitude gathered together to him, and he was neere vnto the sea.
22 Y vino uno de los príncipes de la sinagoga, llamado Jairo, y viéndolo, se arrodillo a sus pies,
And beholde, there came one of the rulers of the Synagogue, whose name was Iairus: and when he sawe him, he fell downe at his feete,
23 Y le hizo fuertes rogativas, diciendo: Mi pequeña hija está cerca de la muerte: es mi oración que tú vengas y pongas tus manos sobre ella, para que ella pueda estar sana y tener vida.
And besought him instantly, saying, My litle daughter lyeth at point of death: I pray thee that thou wouldest come and lay thine hands on her, that she may be healed, and liue.
24 Y él fue con él; y mucha gente lo empujaba y lo siguió, y se le acercó.
Then hee went with him, and a great multitude folowed him, and thronged him.
25 Y una mujer, que había tenido un flujo de sangre durante doce años,
(And there was a certaine woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelue yeeres,
26 Y había sufrido mucho a manos de un número de médicos, y había dado todo lo que tenía, y no había mejorado, pero estaba aún peor,
And had suffred many things of many physicions, and had spent all that she had, and it auailed her nothing, but she became much worse.
27 Cuando ella tenía noticias de las cosas que Jesús hizo, fue entre las personas que lo seguían, y puso su mano en su manto.
When she had heard of Iesus, shee came in the preasse behinde, and touched his garment.
28 Porque ella dijo: Si yo solo pongo mi mano en su manto, seré sanada.
For she said, If I may but touch his clothes, I shalbe whole.
29 Y enseguida se secó el sangrado, y sintió en su cuerpo que su enfermedad había desaparecido y que estaba sana.
And straightway the course of her blood was dried vp, and she felt in her body, that she was healed of that plague.
30 Y de inmediato Jesús fue consciente de que el poder había salido de él; y, dirigiéndose a la gente, dijo: ¿Quién estaba tocando mi túnica?
And immediatly when Iesus did knowe in himselfe the vertue that went out of him, he turned him round about in the preasse, and said, Who hath touched my clothes?
31 Y sus discípulos le dijeron: Tú ves a la gente que te rodea por todas partes, y dices: ¿Quién me estaba tocando?
And his disciples said vnto him, Thou seest the multitude throng thee, and sayest thou, Who did touche me?
32 Y al mirar en derredor para ver a la que había hecho esto,
And he looked round about, to see her that had done that.
33 La mujer, temblando de miedo, consciente de lo que le habían hecho, vino y, cayendo sobre su rostro delante de él, le dio una verdadera versión de todo.
And the woman feared and trembled: for she knewe what was done in her, and shee came and fell downe before him, and tolde him the whole trueth.
34 Y él le dijo: Hija, tu fe te ha sanado; vete en paz y libre para siempre de tu enfermedad.
And hee saide to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole: go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.)
35 Y mientras él aún hablaba, vinieron del jefe de la casa de la sinagoga, diciendo: Tu hija está muerta: ¿por qué sigues inquietando al Maestro?
While hee yet spake, there came from the same ruler of the Synagogues house certaine which said, Thy daughter is dead: why diseasest thou the Master any further?
36 Pero Jesús, sin prestar atención a sus palabras, dijo al jefe de la sinagoga: No temas, solo ten fe.
Assoone as Iesus heard that word spoken, he said vnto the ruler of the Synagogue, Be not afraide: onely beleeue.
37 Y no dejó que nadie viniera con él, sino Pedro, Jacobo y Juan, el hermano de Jacobo.
And he suffered no man to follow him saue Peter and Iames, and Iohn the brother of Iames.
38 Y vinieron a la casa del principal de la sinagoga; y vio gente corriendo de aquí para allá, y llorando en voz alta.
So hee came vnto the house of the ruler of the Synagogue, and sawe the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
39 Y cuando él entró, les dijo: ¿Por qué estáis haciendo tanto ruido y llorando? El niño no está muerto, sino durmiendo.
And he went in, and said vnto them, Why make ye this trouble, and weepe? the childe is not dead, but sleepeth.
40 Y se estaban riendo de él. Pero él, después de haberlos enviado afuera a todos, tomó al padre de la niña y a su madre y a los que estaban con él, y entró donde estaba la niña.
And they laught him to scorne: but hee put them all out, and tooke the father, and the mother of the childe, and them that were with him, and entred in where the childe lay,
41 Y tomándola de la mano, le dijo: Talitha cumi, que es, hija Mía, te digo, levántate.
And tooke the childe by the hand, and saide vnto her, Talitha cumi, which is by interpretation, Mayden, I say vnto thee, arise.
42 Y la joven se levantó enseguida, y estaba caminando; ella tenía doce años. Y ellos estaban extremadamente maravillados por el milagro.
And straightway the mayden arose, and walked: for shee was of the age of twelue yeeres, and they were astonied out of measure.
43 Y les dio órdenes especiales de que no dijeran nada de esto; y él dijo que le daría algo de comida.
And he charged them straitly that no man should knowe of it, and commanded to giue her meate.
