San Lucas 24
1 Pero en el primer día de la semana, al amanecer, llegaron al lugar donde habían puesto su cuerpo, tomando las especias que habían preparado.
Nowe the first day of the weeke early in the morning, they came vnto the sepulchre, and brought the odours, which they had prepared, and certaine women with them.
2 Y vieron que la piedra había sido removida.
And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre,
3 Y entraron, pero el cuerpo del Señor Jesús no estaba allí.
And went in, but found not the body of the Lord Iesus.
4 Y mientras dudaban, vieron a dos hombres con vestidos resplandecientes;
And it came to passe, that as they were amased thereat, beholde, two men suddenly stood by them in shining vestures.
5 y mientras sus rostros se inclinaban hacia la tierra con temor, éstos les dijeron: ¿Por qué están buscando al que vive entre los muertos?
And as they were afraide, and bowed downe their faces to the earth, they sayd to them, Why seeke ye him that liueth, among the dead?
6 Él no está aquí, resucitó: recuerden lo que les dijo cuando aún estaba en Galilea, diciendo:
He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake vnto you, when he was yet in Galile,
7 El Hijo del Hombre será entregado en manos de los malvados, y será puesto a la muerte en la cruz, y en el tercer día volverá a la vida.
Saying, that the sonne of man must be deliuered into the hands of sinfull men, and be crucified, and the third day rise againe.
8 Y sus palabras volvieron a sus mentes,
And they remembred his wordes,
9 Y se fueron de ese lugar y dieron cuenta de todas estas cosas a los once discípulos y a todos los demás.
And returned from the sepulchre, and tolde all these things vnto the eleuen, and to all the remnant.
10 Y ellas fueron María Magdalena, y Juana, y María, madre de Jacobo; y las otras mujeres que estaban con ellos dijeron estas cosas a los Apóstoles.
Now it was Mary Magdalene, and Ioanna, and Mary the mother of Iames, and other women with them, which tolde these things vnto the Apostles.
11 Pero estas palabras les parecieron insensatas, y no les creyeron.
But their wordes seemed vnto them, as a fained thing, neither beleeued they them.
12 Entonces Pedro, levantándose, fue al lugar donde habían puesto el cadáver, y viendo que no veía más que los lienzos, se fue a su casa maravillado por lo que había acontecido.
Then arose Peter, and ran vnto the sepulchre, and looked in, and saw the linnen clothes laide by themselues, and departed wondering in himselfe at that which was come to passe.
13 Y luego, dos de ellos, en ese mismo día, iban a un pequeño pueblo llamado Emaús, que estaba a unos once kilómetros de Jerusalén.
And beholde, two of them went that same day to a towne which was from Hierusalem about threescore furlongs, called Emmaus.
14 Y estaban hablando juntos de todas las cosas que habían sucedido.
And they talked together of al these things that were done.
15 Mientras hablaban y razonaban entre sí, Jesús mismo se acercó y fue con ellos.
And it came to passe, as they communed together, and reasoned, that Iesus himselfe drewe neere, and went with them.
16 Pero sus ojos no estaban abiertos para que pudieran conocerlo.
But their eyes were holden, that they could not know him.
17 Y él les dijo: ¿De qué están hablando?
And he sayd vnto them, What maner of communications are these that ye haue one to another as ye walke and are sad?
18 Entonces, deteniéndose, y mirándole con tristeza, uno de ellos, llamado Cleofás, le dijo: ¿Eres tú el único hombre que vive en Jerusalén y no ha tenido noticias de lo que ha sucedido allí en estos días?
And the one (named Cleopas) answered, and sayd vnto him, Art thou onely a stranger in Hierusalem, and hast not knowen the things which are come to passe therein in these dayes?
19 Y él les dijo: ¿Qué cosas? Y dijeron: Las cosas sobre Jesús de Nazaret, que fue profeta, grande en sus hechos y en sus palabras, delante de Dios y de todo el pueblo,
And he said vnto them, What things? And they sayd vnto him, Of Iesus of Nazareth, which was a Prophet, mightie in deede and in word before God, and all people,
20 Y cómo los principales sacerdotes y nuestros gobernantes lo entregaron para que lo crucificaran.
And howe the hie Priests, and our rulers deliuered him to be condemned to death, and haue crucified him.
21 Pero esperábamos que él sería el Salvador de Israel. Además de todo esto, ahora ha dejado pasar tres días desde el momento en que ocurrieron estas cosas;
But we trusted that it had bene he that should haue deliuered Israel, and as touching all these things, to day is ye third day, that they were done.
22 Y algunas mujeres entre nosotros nos causaron asombro, porque fueron temprano al lugar donde habían puesto su cuerpo,
Yea, and certaine women among vs made vs astonied, which came early vnto the sepulchre.
23 Y no estaba allí; luego vinieron diciendo que habían visto una visión de los ángeles que decían que él estaba viviendo.
And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seene a vision of Angels, which sayd, that he was aliue.
24 Y algunos de los que estaban con nosotros fueron al lugar, y vieron que era como las mujeres habían dicho, pero a él no lo vieron.
Therefore certaine of them which were with vs, went to the sepulchre, and found it euen so as the women had sayd, but him they saw not.
25 Y dijo: ¡Oh insensatos! qué lento para creerlo que los profetas han dicho.
Then he sayd vnto them, O fooles and slowe of heart to beleeue all that the Prophets haue spoken!
26 ¿No era necesario que el Cristo pasara por estas cosas y entrara en su gloria?
Ought not Christ to haue suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 Y les mostró todas las cosas en las Escrituras, de Moisés y de todos los profetas, que tenían que ver consigo mismo.
And he began at Moses, and at all the Prophets, and interpreted vnto them in all the Scriptures the things which were written of him.
28 Y llegaron cerca de la ciudad a la cual iban, y parecía como si él estuviera yendo más lejos;
And they drew neere vnto ye towne, which they went to, but he made as though hee would haue gone further.
29 Pero ellos lo mantuvieron atrás, diciendo: No vayas, porque la tarde está cerca, el día casi se ha ido. Y él entró con ellos.
But they constrained him, saying, Abide with vs: for it is towards night, and the day is farre spent. So he went in to tarie with them.
30 Y cuando se sentó con ellos a la mesa, tomó el pan, y pronunció las palabras de bendición y, al dividirlo, se los dio.
And it came to passe, as hee sate at table with them, he tooke the bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gaue it to them.
31 Y entonces sus ojos estaban abiertos, y tenían conocimiento de él, pero él se apartó de su vista.
Then their eyes were opened, and they knewe him: and he was no more seene of them.
32 Y decían el uno al otro: ¿No estaban ardiendo en nosotros nuestros corazones mientras nos hablaba en el camino, mientras nos explicaba las santas Escrituras?
And they saide betweene themselues, Did not our heartes burne within vs, while he talked with vs by the way, and when he opened to vs the Scriptures?
33 Y esa misma hora se levantaron y regresaron a Jerusalén, donde los once y los otros se habían reunido.
And they rose vp the same houre, and returned to Hierusalem, and found the Eleuen gathered together, and them that were with them,
34 Y ellos les dijeron: El Señor verdaderamente ha resucitado, y Simón lo ha visto.
Which said, The Lord is risen in deede, and hath appeared to Simon.
35 Y contaron lo que había sucedido en el camino, y cómo, cuando les dio pan, lo reconocieron.
Then they tolde what things were done in the way, and howe he was knowen of them in breaking of bread.
36 Mientras ellos estaban diciendo estas cosas, él mismo estaba entre ellos, y les dijo: ¡Paz a ustedes!
And as they spake these things, Iesus himselfe stoode in the middes of them, and saide vnto them, Peace be to you.
37 Pero estaban llenos de temor y aterrorizados, siendo de la opinión de que estaban viendo un espíritu.
But they were abashed and afraide, supposing that they had seene a spirit.
38 Y él les dijo: ¿Por qué están angustiados, y por qué están sus corazones llenos de duda?
Then he saide vnto them, Why are ye troubled? and wherefore doe doutes arise in your hearts?
39 Vean; mis manos y mis pies: soy yo mismo; ponme las manos encima y asegúrate; porque un espíritu no tiene carne ni huesos como ven que tengo yo.
Beholde mine handes and my feete: for it is I my selfe: handle me, and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me haue.
40 Y cuando hubo dicho esto, les dejó ver sus manos y sus pies.
And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and feete.
41 Y, para alegría y maravilla, todavía estaban en duda, él les dijo: ¿Tienes algo de comida aquí?
And while they yet beleeued not for ioy, and wondred, he saide vnto them, Haue ye here any meate?
42 Y le dieron un poco de pescado cocido y un panal de miel.
And they gaue him a piece of a broyled fish, and of an honie combe,
43 Y ante sus ojos él tomó y comió.
And hee tooke it, and did eate before them.
44 Y les dijo: Estas son las palabras que les dije cuando estaba todavía con ustedes, que era necesario que todas las cosas que están en los escritos de Moisés y los profetas y en los Salmos sobre mí, se cumplan.
And he saide vnto them, These are the wordes, which I spake vnto you while I was yet with you, that all must be fulfilled which are written of me in the Lawe of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalmes.
45 Luego hizo que entendieran las Sagradas Escrituras en sus mentes.
Then opened he their vnderstanding, that they might vnderstand the Scriptures,
46 Y les dijo: Así está escrito en las Escrituras que el Cristo sufrirá la muerte y volverá a la vida al tercer día;
And said vnto them, Thus is it written, and thus it behoued Christ to suffer, and to rise againe from the dead the third day,
47 Y que se predique el arrepentimiento y el perdón de los pecados se hará a Jerusalén primero y a todas las naciones en su nombre.
And that repentance, and remission of sinnes should be preached in his Name among all nations, beginning at Hierusalem.
48 Ustedes son testigos de estas cosas.
Nowe ye are witnesses of these things.
49 Y ahora les enviaré lo que mi padre se ha comprometido a darles, pero no se vayan de la ciudad, hasta que el poder del cielo venga a ustedes.
And beholde, I doe sende the promise of my Father vpon you: but tary ye in the citie of Hierusalem, vntill ye be endued with power from an hie.
50 Y los sacó hasta que estuvieron cerca de Betania, y alzando sus manos, les dio una bendición.
Afterward he lead them out into Bethania, and lift vp his hands, and blessed them.
51 Y mientras lo hacía, se fue de ellos y fue llevado al cielo.
And it came to passe, that as he blessed them, he departed from them, and was caried vp into heauen.
52 Y ellos lo adoraron y regresaron a Jerusalén con gran gozo.
And they worshipped him, and returned to Hierusalem with great ioy,
53 Y estaban en el Templo en todo tiempo, alabando a Dios.
And were continually in the Temple, praysing, and lauding God, Amen.
