San Lucas 19
1 Y se fue a Jericó, y cuando pasaba por ahí,
And having come in He passed through Jericho.
2 Un hombre, llamado Zaqueo, que era el principal recaudador de impuestos, y un hombre de riqueza,
And behold, a certain man by name called Zaccheus; and he was chief of the publicans, and he was rich.
3 Hizo todo lo posible por ver quién era Jesús, y no le fue posible, debido a la multitud de gente, porque él era un hombre de baja estatura.
And he was seeking to see Jesus, who He is; and was not able on account of the multitude, because he was small in stature.
4 Y se fue rápidamente delante de ellos y se subió a un árbol para verlo, porque él iba a pasar por allí.
And having run forward in advance, he went up in a sycamore-tree in order that he might see Him: because He was about to pass that way.
5 Y cuando Jesús llegó al lugar, mirando hacia arriba, le dijo: Zaqueo, date prisa y desciende, porque hoy voy a tu casa.
And when He came to the place, Jesus looking up, saw him, and said to him, Zaccheus, hastening, come down; for it behooveth me to abide in thy house this day.
6 Y descendió pronto, y lo tomó en su casa con alegría.
And hastening, he came down, and received Him rejoicing.
7 Y cuando lo vieron, todos se enojaron, y dijeron: Se fue a la casa del pecador.
And all seeing, murmured, saying, that He is come in to abide with a sinner man.
8 Y Zaqueo, que esperaba delante de él, dijo al Señor: Mira, Señor, la mitad de mis bienes los doy a los pobres, y si he defraudado a alguien, le devuelvo cuatro veces más.
And Zaccheus standing, said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any one fraudulently, I restore fourfold.
9 Y Jesús le dijo: Hoy ha venido la salvación a esta casa, porque aún él es hijo de Abraham.
And Jesus said to him, This day salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham;
10 Porque el Hijo del Hombre vino a buscar a los que estaban perdidos y a ser su Salvador.
for the Son of man came to seek and to save that which is lost.
11 Y mientras escuchaban estas palabras, les dijo otra historia, porque estaba cerca de Jerusalén y porque pensaban que él reino de Dios se iba a manifestar inmediatamente.
And they hearing these things, proceeding, He spoke a parable, because he is nigh unto Jerusalem, and they think the kingdom of God is about to be made manifest immediately.
12 Entonces dijo: Un hombre de gran alcurnia se fue a un país lejano para ser nombrado rey y volver.
Then He said, A certain nobleman went to a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom, and return.
13 Y envió a buscar a diez de sus siervos, y les dio diez minas, y les dijo: vende y compra con esto hasta que yo llegue.
And calling his ten servants, he gave to them ten pounds, and said to them, Operate till I come.
14 Pero su pueblo no le amaba, y envió tras él representantes, diciendo: No queremos a este hombre para nuestro gobernante.
But his citizens continued to hate him, and sent an embassy after him, saying, We do not wish this man to rule over us.
15 Y cuando regresó, habiendo obtenido su reino, dio órdenes a aquellos siervos a quienes les había dado el dinero para que fueran a él, para que él pudiera tener una cuenta de lo que habían hecho.
And it came to pass, when he returned, having received the kingdom, and he said, that those servants should be called, to whom he had given the money, in order that he might know what each one had gained by their merchandise.
16 Y vino el primero delante de él, diciendo: Señor, tu mina ha hecho diez minas.
And the first came, saying, Lord, thy pound has gained ten pounds.
17 Y él le dijo: Bien has hecho, oh buen siervo: porque has sido fiel en lo poco, tendrás autoridad sobre diez ciudades.
And he said to him, Well done, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in the least, have thou authority over ten cities.
18 Y vino otro que decía: Tu mina ha ganado cinco minas.
And the second one came, saying, Lord, thy pound has gained five pounds.
19 Y él dijo: Tú serás gobernador sobre cinco ciudades.
And he also said to him, Be thou over five cities.
20 Y vino otro que decía: Señor, aquí está tu mina, que yo guardo en un paño;
And the other one came, saying, Lord, behold, thy pound, which I had laid away in a napkin:
21 Porque tuve miedo de ti, porque eres un hombre duro; tomas lo que no pusiste, y cosechas lo que no sembraste.
for I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that which thou hadst not laid down, and thou reapest that which thou hast not sown.
22 Y le dijo: Por las palabras de tu boca serás juzgado, siervo malo. Sabías que soy un hombre duro, tomando lo que no he puesto y recogiendo grano donde no he puesto semilla;
And he says to him, Out of thine own mouth I will judge thee, thou wicked servant. Didst thou know that I am an austere man, taking up what I have not laid down, and reaping what I have not sown?
23 ¿Por qué, entonces, no depositaste mi dinero en un banco, para que cuando llegara lo recuperara con interés?
Wherefore indeed didst thou not put my money in the bank? and having come I would have received the same with the product.
24 Y dijo a los que estaban cerca: Quítale la mina, y dáselo al hombre que tiene diez.
And he said to the bystanders, Take the pound from him, and give it to the one having ten pounds.
25 Y le dicen: Señor, él tiene diez libras.
And they said to him, Lord, he has ten pounds.
26 Y les digo que a todo el que tiene, se le dará más, pero al que no tiene, se le quitará lo que tiene.
I say unto you, that to every one having it shall be given; and from every one not having, it shall be taken away even that which he hath.
27 Y en cuanto a los que estaban en mi contra, que no me querían por su gobernante, que vengan aquí y sean matados delante de mí.
Moreover bring these my enemies, not wishing me to rule over them, hither, and slay them before me.
28 Y cuando hubo dicho esto, pasó delante de ellos y continuo y subió a Jerusalén.
And speaking these things, He was journeying before them, going up to Jerusalem.
29 Y aconteció que cuando llegó cerca de Betfagé y de Betania, junto a la montaña que se llama la Montaña de las Olivas, envió a dos de los discípulos,
And it came to pass, when He drew nigh unto Bethphage and Bethany, to the mount called the Mount of Olives, and He sent away two of His disciples,
30 diciendo: Id a la pequeña ciudad frente a ustedes, y al entrar. verás un pollino atado con una cuerda, en el que ningún hombre ha estado sentado alguna vez; suéltalo y tómalo.
saying, Go into the village over against you; in which entering you will find a colt tied, on which no one of men ever sat: loosing, lead him hither.
31 Y si alguien te dice: ¿Por qué lo llevas? di: El Señor lo necesita.
And if any one may ask you, Why do you loose him? thus say to him, that the Lord hath need of him:
32 Y aquellos a quienes envió se fueron, y fue como él dijo.
and those having been sent, departing, found as Jesus told them.
33 Y cuando estaban sacando el pollino, los dueños de él les dijeron: ¿Por qué tomas el pollino?
And they loosing the donkey, his master said to them, Why do you loose the donkey?
34 Y ellos dijeron: El Señor lo necesita.
And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
35 Y ellos lo llevaron a Jesús, y ellos pusieron sus túnicas sobre el asno, y Jesús subió a él.
And they led him to Jesus: and casting their garments on the colt, they mounted Jesus on them.
36 Y mientras él siguió su camino, la gente ponía sus ropas en el camino frente a él.
And He going forward, they were strewing their garments in the road.
37 Y cuando llegó cerca del pie del monte de los Olivos, todos los discípulos a grandes voces alababan a Dios con gozo por todas las grandes obras que habían visto;
And He already drawing nigh to the descension of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God with a loud voice for all those miracles which they saw; shouting,
38 Diciendo: Una bendición sobre el Rey que viene en el nombre del Señor; paz en el cielo y gloria en lo más alto.
saying, Blessed is the King coming in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39 Y algunos de los fariseos del pueblo le dijeron: Maestro, haz que tus discípulos callen.
And certain ones of the Pharisees from the multitude said to Him, Teacher, rebuke thy disciples:
40 Y él dijo en respuesta, les digo, si estos hombres se callan, las mismas piedras estarán clamando.
and He responding said to them, I say unto you, that if these may keep silent, the rocks will cry out.
41 Cuando se acercó y vio la ciudad, se llenó de llanto por ella,
And when He drew near, seeing the city He wept over it,
42 diciendo: ¡Si también tú conocieras hoy, las cosas que dan paz! pero ahora esto te está escondido para que no puedas verlo.
saying, If thou indeed hadst known, truly in this thy day, the things appertaining to thy peace! but now they are hidden from thy eyes.
43 Porque vendrá tiempo cuando tus atacantes te rodearán con una muralla, y te rodearán y te atacarán por todos lados,
Because the days will come upon thee, and thine enemies will cast a fortification about thee, and surround thee, and press in on thee from all directions,
44 Y te destruirán por completo, y a tus hijos contigo; y no habrá una piedra sobre otra, porque no reconociste el tiempo de la visitación divina.
and will slay thee, and thy children in thee; and will leave in thee not a stone upon a stone; because thou hast not known the time of thy visitation.
45 Y él entró en el Templo y sacó a los que comerciaban allí,
And having come into the temple, He began to cast out those buying and selling,
46 Diciéndoles: Se ha escrito: Mi casa será una casa de oración, pero tú la has hecho una cueva de ladrones.
saying to them; It has been written, My house shall be a house of prayer: but you have made it a den of thieves.
47 Y todos los días estaba enseñando en el Templo. Pero los principales sacerdotes y los escribas y los gobernantes del pueblo estaban tratando de matarlo;
And He was teaching daily in the temple, and the chief priests and scribes and the first men of the people were seeking to destroy Him.
48 Pero ellos no pudieron hacer nada, porque todas las personas se mantuvieron cerca de él, estando muy interesados en sus palabras.
And they were not finding what they might do; for all the people hung on Him, hearing Him.
