Levítico 17
1 Y él Señor dijo a Moisés:
Then the LORD said to Moses,
2 Di a Aarón, a sus hijos y a todos los hijos de Israel: Este es lo que ha mandado el Señor.
“Speak to Aaron, his sons, and all the Israelites and tell them this is what the LORD has commanded:
3 Si alguno de los hombres de Israel matara a un buey o un cordero o una cabra, dentro o fuera del campamento de la tienda;
‘Anyone from the house of Israel who slaughters an ox, a lamb, or a goat in the camp or outside of it
4 Y no lo ha llevado a la puerta de la Tienda de reunión, para hacer una ofrenda al Señor, delante de la Tienda del Señor, su sangre estará sobre él, porque él ha quitado la vida y será cortado de entre su pueblo:
instead of bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to present it as an offering to the LORD before His tabernacle—that man shall incur bloodguilt. He has shed blood and must be cut off from among his people.
5 Para que los hijos de Israel puedan llevar al Señor, a la puerta de la tienda de reunión y al sacerdote, las ofrendas que han hecho morir en el campo abierto, y que puedan hacer sus ofrendas de paz al Señor.
For this reason the Israelites will bring to the LORD the sacrifices they have been offering in the open fields. They are to bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and offer them as sacrifices of peace to the LORD.
6 Y el sacerdote pondrá sangre sobre el altar del Señor a la puerta de la tienda de reunión, quemando la grasa en olor grato al Señor.
The priest will then sprinkle the blood on the altar of the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and burn the fat as a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
7 Y no hagan más ofrendas a los espíritus malignos, tras de los cuales han fornicado, apartándose del Señor. Que esto sea una ley para ellos para siempre, a través de todas sus generaciones.
They must no longer offer their sacrifices to the goat demons to which they have prostituted themselves. This will be a permanent statute for them for the generations to come.’
8 Y diles: Si alguno de los hombres de Israel, o cualquier otro que viva entre ellos, hace una ofrenda quemada u otra ofrenda,
Tell them that if anyone from the house of Israel or any foreigner living among them offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice
9 Y no lo lleva a la puerta de la Tienda de reunión para hacer una ofrenda al Señor, que tal hombre será cortado de entre su pueblo.
but does not bring it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to sacrifice it to the LORD, that man must be cut off from his people.
10 Y si cualquier hombre de Israel, o cualquier otro que viva entre ellos, toma algún tipo de sangre para comer, mi ira se volverá contra ese hombre y él será separado de entre su pueblo.
If anyone from the house of Israel or a foreigner living among them eats any blood, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from among his people.
11 Porque la vida de la carne está en su sangre; y se las he dado a ustedes en el altar que quita sus pecados, porque es la sangre la que libra del pecado a tu vida.
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for your souls upon the altar; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.
12 Por esta razón he dicho a los hijos de Israel: Ningún hombre entre ustedes, o cualquier otro que viva con ustedes, puede tomar sangre como alimento.
Therefore I say to the Israelites, ‘None of you may eat blood, nor may any foreigner living among you eat blood.’
13 Y cualquier hombre de Israel, o cualquier otro que viva entre ellos, que cazare cualquier bestia o ave usada como alimento, su sangre debe ser derramada y cubierta con tierra.
And if any Israelite or foreigner living among them hunts down a wild animal or bird that may be eaten, he must drain its blood and cover it with dirt.
14 Porque la sangre es la vida de toda carne, y así he dicho a los hijos de Israel: No debes tomar ningún tipo de sangre como alimento, y cualquier hombre que lo haga será cortado.
For the life of all flesh is its blood. Therefore I have told the Israelites, ‘You must not eat the blood of any living thing, because the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it must be cut off.’
15 Y cualquiera que tome como alimento cualquier cosa que haya llegado a un final natural, o cualquier cosa que haya sido sacrificada por las bestias, si es uno de ustedes por nacimiento, o de otra nación, tendrá que lavar su ropa y así mismo se lavará su cuerpo y será inmundo hasta la tarde, y luego quedará limpio.
And any person, whether native or foreigner, who eats anything found dead or mauled by wild beasts must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening; then he will be clean.
16 Pero si su ropa no es lavada y su cuerpo bañado, su pecado estará sobre él.
But if he does not wash his clothes and bathe himself, then he shall bear his iniquity.”
