Levítico 16

1 Y él Señor dijo a Moisés, después de la muerte de los dos hijos de Aarón, cuando tomaron fuego extraño delante del Señor y la muerte los alcanzó;

And the LORD spoke unto Moses, after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they drew near before the LORD, and died;

2 El Señor le dijo a Moisés: Dile a Aarón, tu hermano, que no puede venir en todo momento al lugar santo dentro del velo, delante del propiciatorio, por temor a que la muerte lo alcance; porque seré visto en la nube en la cubierta del cofre.

and the LORD said unto Moses: 'Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the veil, before the ark-cover which is upon the ark; that he die not; for I appear in the cloud upon the ark-cover.

3 Dejemos que Aarón venga al lugar santo de esta manera: con un buey para el sacrificio por el pecado y un carnero para el sacrificio.

Herewith shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering.

4 Deja que se ponga el saco de lino sagrado, el pantalón de lino sobre su cuerpo, él cinto de lino ceñido y la mitra de lino sobre la cabeza porque esto es ropa santa, y antes de ponerlos sobre su cuerpo, debe ser lavado con agua.

He shall put on the holy linen tunic, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with the linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired; they are the holy garments; and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and put them on.

5 Y que tome de los hijos de Israel dos chivos para el sacrificio por el pecado y un carnero para el holocausto.

And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two he-goats for a sin-offering, and one ram for a burnt-offering.

6 Y Aarón debe dar el buey de la ofrenda por el pecado para sí mismo, para que él y su casa se liberen del pecado.

And Aaron shall present the bullock of the sin-offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself, and for his house.

7 Y él tiene que tomar las dos cabras y ponerlas delante del Señor en la puerta de la tienda de la reunión.

And he shall take the two goats, and set them before the LORD at the door of the tent of meeting.

8 Y Aarón echará suertes sobre los dos machos cabríos, una suerte para el Señor y una suerte para él macho cabrío expiatorio.

And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats: one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for Azazel.

9 Y el macho cabrío que está marcada para el Señor, deja que Aarón haga una ofrenda por el pecado.

And Aaron shall present the goat upon which the lot fell for the LORD, and offer him for a sin-offering.

10 Pero el macho cabrío expiatorio debe colocarse vivo delante del Señor, para quitar el pecado, para que pueda ser enviada con todas las maldad de ellos a las tierras del desierto.

But the goat, on which the lot fell for Azazel, shall be set alive before the LORD, to make atonement over him, to send him away for Azazel into the wilderness.

11 Y Aarón debe dar el becerro de la ofrenda por el pecado para sí mismo y quitar el pecado de sí mismo y de su casa, y matar el becerro de la ofrenda por el pecado que es para sí mismo.

And Aaron shall present the bullock of the sin-offering, which is for himself, and shall make atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin-offering which is for himself.

12 Y él tomará un vaso lleno de brasas que se quema del altar delante del Señor y en su mano un poco de incienso, y lo llevará dentro del velo;

And he shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil.

13 Y tomará el incienso sobre el fuego delante del Señor para que el cofre se cubra con una nube del humo del perfume, que está sobre él testimonio para que la muerte no lo alcance.

And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the ark-cover that is upon the testimony, that he die not.

14 Y tomará algo de la sangre del buey, sacudiendo sus gotas de su dedo encima del propiciatorio en el lado este, y delante del propiciatorio, siete veces.

And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the ark-cover on the east; and before the ark-cover shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.

15 Entonces, degollara al macho cabrío de la ofrenda por el pecado, y lleva su sangre al interior del velo y haz con él lo que hizo con la sangre del buey, sacudiendo gotas encima y delante del cofre del pacto.

Then shall he kill the goat of the sin-offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with his blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the ark-cover, and before the ark-cover.

16 Y libere el lugar santo de todo lo que sea inmundo entre los hijos de Israel y de su maldad en todos sus pecados; y que haga lo mismo con la Tienda de reunión, que tiene su lugar entre un pueblo impuro.

And he shall make atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleannesses of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, even all their sins; and so shall he do for the tent of meeting, that dwelleth with them in the midst of their uncleannesses.

17 Y ningún hombre puede estar en la Tienda de reunión desde el momento en que Aarón entra para quitar el pecado en el lugar santo hasta que salga, habiéndose hecho a sí mismo, a su casa y a todo el pueblo de Israel libres del pecado.

And there shall be no man in the tent of meeting when he goeth in to make atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel.

18 Y saldrá al altar que está delante del Señor y lo liberará del pecado; y él debe tomar algo de la sangre del buey y la sangre del chivo y ponerla en los cuernos del altar y rodearla;

And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD, and make atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.

19 Sacudir las gotas de sangre de su dedo en él siete veces para santificarlo y limpiarlo de todo lo que sea inmundo entre los hijos de Israel.

And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleannesses of the children of Israel.

20 Y cuando haya hecho lo que sea necesario para hacer que el lugar santo y la Tienda de reunión y el altar estén libres de pecado, ponga al chivo viviente delante del Señor;

And when he hath made an end of atoning for the holy place, and the tent of meeting, and the altar, he shall present the live goat.

21 Y Aarón, poniendo sus dos manos sobre la cabeza del chivo viviente, hará una declaración pública sobre él de todas las malas acciones de los hijos de Israel y de todas sus malas acciones, en todos sus pecados; y los pondrá sobre la cabeza del chivo y lo enviará lejos, al cuidado de un hombre que lo estará esperando allí, lo llevará y soltará en él desierto.

And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, even all their sins; and he shall put them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of an appointed man into the wilderness.

22 Y él chivo llevará sobre sí, todos sus pecados a una tierra separada de los hombres, y él enviará al chivo al desierto.

And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land which is cut off; and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.

23 Entonces, Aarón entrará en la Tienda de la reunión y se quitará la ropa de lino que se puso cuando entró en el lugar santo, y la dejara allí;

And Aaron shall come into the tent of meeting, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there.

24 Y después se bañará su cuerpo en agua en un lugar santo, debe ponerse su ropa y salir y dar su ofrenda quemada y la ofrenda quemada de la gente, para quitar su pecado y el pecado de la gente.

And he shall bathe his flesh in water in a holy place and put on his other vestments, and come forth, and offer his burnt-offering and the burnt-offering of the people, and make atonement for himself and for the people.

25 Y la grasa de la ofrenda por el pecado será quemada por él en el altar.

And the fat of the sin-offering shall he make smoke upon the altar.

26 Y el hombre que soltó el chivo; como chivo expiatorio debe lavarse la ropa y bañar su cuerpo en agua para luego regresar al campamento de la tienda.

And he that letteth go the goat for Azazel shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he may come into the camp.

27 Y el becerro de la ofrenda por el pecado y él chivo de la ofrenda por el pecado, cuya sangre fue tomada para hacer que el lugar santo esté libre del pecado, deben ser sacados fuera del campamento de la Tienda, sus pieles, la carne y sus desperdicios serán quemados con fuego.

And the bullock of the sin-offering, and the goat of the sin-offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall be carried forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.

28 Y el hombre por el cual son quemados es lavado, su ropa y su cuerpo bañado en agua, para luego regresar al campamento de la tienda.

And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he may come into the camp.

29 Y sea para ustedes una orden para siempre: en el séptimo mes, en el décimo día, deben mantenerse a sí mismos sin placer y no hacer ningún tipo de trabajo, los que son israelitas de nacimiento y los de otras tierras. quienes viven entre ustedes.

And it shall be a statute for ever unto you: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and shall do no manner of work, the home-born, or the stranger that sojourneth among you.

30 Porque en este día tu pecado será quitado y serás limpio: serás libre de todos tus pecados ante el Señor.

For on this day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you; from all your sins shall ye be clean before the LORD.

31 Es un sábado especial para ustedes, y ustedes deben humillarse; Es una orden para siempre.

It is a sabbath of solemn rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls; it is a statute for ever.

32 Y el hombre sobre cuya cabeza se ha puesto el aceite santo, y que ha sido señalado como sacerdote en lugar de su padre, hará lo que sea necesario para quitar el pecado, y se pondrá la ropa de lino. incluso las ropas santas.

And the priest, who shall be anointed and who shall be consecrated to be priest in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, even the holy garments.

33 Y hará la purificación del lugar santo y la Tienda de reunión y el altar del pecado; Él quitará el pecado de los sacerdotes y de todo el pueblo.

And he shall make atonement for the most holy place, and he shall make atonement for the tent of meeting and for the altar; and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly.

34 Y sea para siempre una orden para ustedes, para que el pecado de los hijos de Israel se pueda quitar una vez al año. Se hizo lo que el Señor le mandó a Moisés.

And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make atonement for the children of Israel because of all their sins once in the year.' And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.
