Jueces 6
1 Y los hijos de Israel hicieron lo malo ante los ojos del Señor; y el Señor los entregó en mano de Madián por siete años.
Forsothe the sones of Israel diden yuel in the `siyt of the Lord, and he bitook hem in the hond of Madian seuene yeer.
2 Y Midian era más fuerte que Israel; y debido a los madianitas, los hijos de Israel se hicieron escondites en las montañas, y huecos en las rocas, y fortificaciones.
And thei weren oppressid of hem greetly; and `thei maden dichis, and dennes to hem silf in hillis, and strongeste places to fiyte ayen.
3 Y siempre que se sembró el grano de Israel, los madianitas y los amalecitas y la gente del este subieron contra ellos;
And whanne Israel hadde sowe, Madian stiede, and Amalech, and othere of the `naciouns of the eest;
4 Y acamparon su ejército en posición contra ellos; y llevaron todo el producto de la tierra hasta Gaza, hasta que no hubo alimento en Israel, ni ovejas, ni bueyes, ni asnos.
and thei settiden tentis at the sones of Israel, and wastiden alle thingis `as tho weren in eerbis, ethir grene corn, `til to the entryng of Gaza, and outirli thei leften not in Israel ony thing perteynynge to lijf, not scheep, not oxun, not assis.
5 Porque subían regularmente con sus bueyes y sus tiendas de campaña; vinieron como las langostas en multitud; ellos y sus camellos innumerables; y vinieron a la tierra para su destrucción.
For thei and alle her flockis camen with her tabernaclis, and at the licnesse of locustus thei filliden alle thingis, and a multitude of men and of camels was with out noumbre, and wastiden what euer thing thei touchiden.
6 E Israel tenía gran necesidad a causa de Madián; Y el clamor de los hijos de Israel subió al Señor.
And Israel was `maad low greetli in the siyt of Madian.
7 Y cuando el clamor de los hijos de Israel, por causa de Madián, llegó ante el Señor,
And Israel criede to the Lord, `and axyde help ayens Madianytis; and he sente to hem a man,
8 El SEÑOR envió un profeta a los hijos de Israel, quien les dijo: él Señor Dios de Israel ha dicho: Te saqué de Egipto, de la casa de esclavitud;
a profete, and he spak, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Y made you to stie fro Egipt, and Y ledde you out of the hows of seruage,
9 Y te saqué de las manos de los egipcios y de las manos de todos los que fueron crueles contigo, y los envié por la fuerza de delante de ustedes y les di su tierra;
and Y delyueride you fro the hond of Egipcians, and of alle enemyes that turmentiden you; and Y castide hem out at youre entryng, and Y yaf to you `the lond of hem;
10 Y les dije: Yo soy el Señor, su Dios; no tengan miedo a los dioses de los amorreos en cuya tierra están viviendo, pero no escucharon mi voz.
and Y seide, Y am `youre Lord God; drede ye not the goddis of Ammorreis, in whose lond ye dwellen; and ye nolden here my vois.
11 Entonces el ángel del Señor vino y se sentó debajo del roble en Ofra, en el campo de Joás Abiezer; y su hijo Gedeón estaba triturando grano en el lugar donde se trituraban las uvas, para que los madianitas no lo vieran.
Forsothe an aungel of the Lord cam, and sat undur an ook, that was in Effra, and perteynede to Joas, fadir of the meinee of Ezri. And whanne Gedeon, `his sone, threischide out, and purgide wheetis in a pressour,
12 Y el ángel del Señor se presentó ante sus ojos, y le dijo: El Señor está contigo, hombre fuerte y valiente.
that he schulde fle Madian, an aungel of the Lord apperide to hym, and seide, The Lord be with thee, thou strongeste of men.
13 Entonces Gedeón le dijo: Oh señor mío, si el Señor está con nosotros, ¿por qué nos ha venido todo esto? ¿Y dónde están todas sus obras de poder, de las cuales nuestros padres nos han dado la palabra, diciendo: ¿No nos sacó el Señor de Egipto? Pero ahora él nos ha entregado, entregándonos al poder de Midian.
And Gedeon seide to hym, My lord, Y biseche, if the Lord is with vs, whi therfor han alle these yuels take vs? Where ben the merueils of hym, whiche oure fadris telden, and seiden, The Lord ledde vs out of Egipt? `Now forsothe he hath forsake vs, and hath bitake vs in the hond of Madian.
14 Y él Señor, volviéndose hacia él, le dijo: Ve con la fuerza que tienes y sé el salvador de Israel de Madián: ¿no te he enviado?
And the Lord bihelde to hym, and seide, Go thou in this strengthe of thee, and thou schalt delyuere Israel fro the hond of Madian; wite thou, that Y sente thee.
15 Y le dijo: Señor, ¿cómo puedo yo ser el salvador de Israel? Mira, mi familia es la más pobre en Manasés, y yo soy el menor en la casa de mi padre.
Which Gedeon answeride, and seide, My lord, Y biseche, in what thing schal Y delyuere Israel? Lo! my meynee is the loweste in Manasses, and Y am the leeste in the hows of my fadir.
16 Entonces el Señor le dijo: Verdaderamente, estaré contigo, y vencerás a los madianitas como si fueran un solo hombre.
And the Lord seide to hym, Y schal be with thee, and thou schalt smyte Madian as o man.
17 Entonces él le dijo: Si ahora tengo gracia en tus ojos, entonces dame una señal de que eres tú quien me habla.
And Gedeon seide, If Y haue foundun grace bifor thee, yyue to me a signe, that thou, that spekist to me, art sente of Goddis part;
18 No te vayas hasta que yo venga con mi ofrenda y te la presente. Y él dijo: No me iré antes de que vuelvas.
go thou not `awei fro hennus, til Y turne ayen to thee, and brynge sacrifice, and offre to thee. Whiche answeride, Y schal abide thi comyng.
19 Entonces Gedeón entró y preparó un cabrito, y con un efa de comida hizo pasteles sin levadura: puso la carne en una canasta y la sopa en la que había sido cocida, la puso en una olla y la tomó. Se lo tendió debajo del roble y se lo regaló allí.
And so Gedeon entride, and sethide a kide, and took therf looues of a buyschel of mell, and fleischis in a panyere; and he sente the broth of fleischis in a pot, and bar alle thingis vndur an ook, and offride to hym.
20 Y el ángel de Dios le dijo: Toma la carne y los pasteles sin levadura y ponlos en la roca de allí, escurriendo la sopa sobre ellos. Y así lo hizo.
To whom the aungel of the Lord seide, Take thou the fleischis, and therf looues, and putte on that stoon, and schede the broth aboue. And whanne he hadde do so,
21 Entonces el ángel del Señor sacó el bastón que tenía en su mano, tocando la carne y los pasteles con la punta del bastón; y de la roca brotó una llama que consumió la carne y los pasteles, y el ángel del Señor desapareció de su vista.
the aungel of the Lord helde forth the `ende of the yerde which he helde in the hond, and he touchide the fleischis, and the therf looues; and fier stiede fro the stoon, and wastide the fleischis, and therf looues. Forsothe the aungel of the Lord vanyschide fro hise iyen.
22 Entonces Gedeón estaba seguro de que él era el ángel del Señor; y Gedeón dijo: «¡Tengo miedo, oh Señor Dios! porque he visto al ángel del Señor cara a cara.
And Gedeon siy that he was `an aungel of the Lord, and seide, Lord God, alas to me, for Y siy the aungel of the Lord face to face.
23 Pero el Señor le dijo: Paz sea contigo; No tengas miedo: no estás en peligro de muerte.
And the Lord seide to hym, Pees be with thee; drede thou not, thou schalt not die.
24 Entonces Gedeón hizo allí un altar al Señor, y le dio el nombre de Él Señor es la paz; hasta el día de hoy está en Ofra del clan de abiezer.
Therfor Gedeon bildide there an auter to the Lord, and he clepide it the Pees of the Lord, `til in to present dai. And whanne he was yit in Effra, which is of the meynee of Ezri, the Lord seide to hym in that nyyt,
25 La misma noche, el Señor le dijo: Toma un toro y un becerro de siete años, y después de derribar el altar de Baal, que es de tu padre, y cortando el árbol sagrado a su lado,
Take thou `the bole of thy fadir, and anothir bole of seuene yeer, and thou schalt distrie the auter of Baal, which is thi fadris, and kitte thou doun the wode, which is aboute the auter;
26 Haz un altar al Señor tu Dios en la cima de esta roca, en el camino ordenado, toma el buey y haz una ofrenda quemada con la madera del árbol sagrado que ha sido talado.
and thou schalt bilde an auter to thi Lord God in the hiynesse of this stoon, on which thou puttidist sacrifice bifore; and thou schalt take the secounde bole, and thou schalt offre brent sacrifice on the heep of trees, whiche thou kittidist doun of the wode.
27 Entonces Gedeón tomó a diez de sus siervos e hizo lo que el Señor le había dicho; pero temiendo hacerlo durante el día, debido a la gente de su padre y los hombres del pueblo, lo hizo de noche.
Therfore Gedeon took ten men of hise seruauntis, and dide as the Lord comaundide to hym. Sotheli Gedeon dredde the hows of his fadir, and the men of that citee, and nolde do bi dai, but fillide alle thingis bi nyyt.
28 Y los hombres del pueblo se levantaron temprano por la mañana, y vieron el altar de Baal derribado, y el árbol sagrado que había sido cortado, y el buey ofrecido sobre el altar que había sido colocado allí.
And whanne men of that citee hadde rise eerly, thei sien the auter of Baal distried, and the wode kit doun, and the tothir bole put on the auter, that was bildid thanne.
29 Y se dijeron unos a otros: ¿Quién ha hecho esto? Y después de buscar con cuidado, dijeron: Gedeón, el hijo de Joás, ha hecho esto.
And thei seiden togidere, Who hath do this? And whanne thei enqueriden the doer of the deed, it was seid, Gedeon, the sone of Joas, dide alle these thingis.
30 Entonces los hombres del pueblo dijeron a Joás: Haz que salga tu hijo para que muera, para derribar el altar de Baal y para cortar el árbol sagrado que estaba junto a él.
And thei seiden to Joas, Brynge forth thi sone hidur, that he die, for he distriede the auter of Baal, and kittide doun the wode.
31 Pero Joás dijo a todos los que lo estaban atacando: ¿Asumirás la causa de Baal? ¿Serás su salvador? Que cualquier persona que acepte su causa muera mientras aún es de mañana: si es un dios, que él mismo tome su causa por el derribo de su altar.
To whiche he answeride, Whether ye ben the venieris of Baal, that ye fiyte for hym? he that is aduersarie of hym, die, bifor that the `liyt of the morew dai come; if he is God, venge he hym silf of hym that castide doun his auter.
32 Y ese día le dio el nombre de Jerobaal, diciendo: Deje que Baal tome su causa contra él porque su altar ha sido destruido.
Fro that dai Gedeon was clepid Gerobaal, for Joas hadde seid, Baal take veniaunce of hym that castide doun his auter.
33 Entonces todos los madianitas, los amalecitas y la gente del este se unieron, se acercaron y pusieron su campamento en el valle de Jezreel.
Therfor al Madian, and Amalech, and the puplis of the eest weren gadirid to gidere, and passiden Jordan, and settiden tentis in the valey of Jezrael.
34 Pero el espíritu del Señor vino sobre Gedeón; y al sonido de su cuerno, todo Abiezer se reunió tras él.
Forsothe the spirit of the Lord clothide Gedeon; `and he sownede with a clarioun, and clepide to gidere the hows of Abiezer, that it schulde sue hym.
35 Y envió a través de todo Manasés, y vinieron tras él; y envió a Aser, a Zabulón y Neftalí, y subieron y se unieron a los demás.
And he sente messangeris in to al Manasses, and he suede Gedeon; and he sente othere messangeris in to Aser, and Zabulon, and Neptalym, whiche camen to hym.
36 Entonces Gedeón dijo a Dios: Si vas a dar a Israel la salvación de mi mano, como has dicho,
And Gedeon seide to the Lord, If thou makist saaf Israel bi myn hond, as thou hast spoke,
37 Mira, pondré la lana de una oveja en el suelo donde se trilla el trigo; Si solo hay rocío en la lana, mientras que toda la tierra está seca, entonces estaré seguro de que es tu propósito darle a Israel la salvación por mi mano, como has dicho.
Y schal putte this flees of wolle in the corn floor; if dew is in the flees aloone, and drynesse is in al the erthe, Y schal wite, that thou schalt delyuere Israel bi myn hond, as thou hast spoke.
38 Y así fue, porque se levantó temprano a la mañana siguiente y, retorciendo la lana en sus manos, sacó una palangana llena de agua del rocío sobre la lana.
And it was don so. And he roos bi nyyt, and whanne the flees was wrongun out, he fillide a pot with deew;
39 Entonces Gedeón dijo a Dios: No te muevas a ira contra mí si solo digo esto: déjame hacer una prueba más con la lana; deja que la lana esté seca, mientras la tierra está cubierta de rocío.
and he seide eft to the Lord, Thi strong veniaunce be not wrooth ayens me, if Y asaie, `that is, axe a signe, yit onys, and seke a signe in the flees; Y preye, that the flees aloone be drie, and al the erthe be moist with deew.
40 Y esa noche Dios lo hizo; porque la lana estaba seca, y había rocío sobre toda la tierra que la rodeaba.
And the Lord dide in that nyyt, as Gedeon axide; and drynesse was in the flees aloone, and deew was in al the erthe.
