Jueces 2
1 Entonces el ángel del Señor subió de Gilgal a Boquim. Y él dijo: Yo los saqué de Egipto y los guié a la tierra que juré a sus padres; Cuando les dije: Mi pacto con ustedes nunca será roto por mí:
And the aungel of the Lord stiede fro Galgala to the place of weperis, and seide, Y ledde you out of Egipt, and Y brouyte you in to the lond, `for which Y swoor to youre fadris, and bihiyte, that Y schulde not make void my couenaunt with you in to with outen ende;
2 Y no harás ningún acuerdo con la gente de esta tierra; Deben destruir sus altares: pero no has escuchado mi voz: ¿quédense lo que han hecho?
so oneli that ye schulde not smyte boond of pees with the dwelleris of this lond, and schulden distrie `the auteris of hem; and ye nolden here my vois. Whi diden ye these thingis?
3 Y así he dicho, no los enviaré de delante de ustedes; pero serán un peligro para ustedes, y sus dioses serán una trampa para que ustedes caigan.
Wherfore Y nolde do hem awei fro youre face, that ye haue enemyes, and that `the goddis of hem be to you in to fallyng.
4 Al oír estas palabras que el ángel del Señor dijo a todos los hijos de Israel, el pueblo se rindió a gritos y llantos.
And whanne the `aungel of the Lord spak these wordis to alle the sones of Israel, thei reisiden her vois, and wepten; and the name of that place was clepid,
5 Y le dieron a ese lugar el nombre de Boquim, e hicieron ofrendas allí al Señor.
of weperis, ether of teeris; and thei offriden there sacrifices to the Lord.
6 Y Josué despidió al pueblo, y los hijos de Israel fueron, cada uno a su herencia, para tomar la tierra para sí mismos.
Therfor Josue lefte the puple; and the sones of Israel wenten forth, ech man in to his possessioun, that thei schulden gete it.
7 Y la gente fue fiel al Señor todos los días de Josué, y todos los días de los hombres responsables que aún vivían después de la muerte de Josué, y habían visto toda la gran obra del Señor que él había hecho en favor de Israel.
And thei serueden the Lord in alle the daies of Josue, and of eldere men that lyueden aftir hym in long tyme, and knewen alle the grete werkis of the Lord, whiche he hadde do with Israel.
8 Y llegó la muerte a Josué, hijo de Nun, siervo del Señor, y tenía ciento diez años.
Forsothe Josue, sone of Nun, `seruaunt of the Lord, `was deed of an hundrid yeer and ten;
9 Y lo enterraron en la tierra de su herencia en Timnat-sera, en la región montañosa de Efraín, al norte del Monte Gaas.
and thei birieden hym in the endis of his possessioun, in Thannath of Sare, in the hil of Effraym, at the north coost of the hil Gaas.
10 Y con el tiempo la muerte se apoderó de toda esa generación; y otra generación vino después de ellos, sin saber del Señor ni de las cosas que había hecho por Israel.
And al that generacioun was gaderid to her fadris; and othere men riseden, that knewen not the Lord, and the werkis whiche he `hadde do with Israel.
11 Y los hijos de Israel hicieron lo malo ante los ojos del Señor se convirtieron en siervos de los baales.
And the sones of Israel diden yuel in the siyt of the Lord, and thei serueden Baalym and Astaroth;
12 Y dejaron al Señor, el Dios de sus padres, que los había sacado de la tierra de Egipto y persiguieron a otros dioses, a los dioses de los pueblos que los rodeaban, adorándolos y provocando al Señor a la ira.
and forsoken the Lord God of her fadris, that ledden hem out of the lond of Egipt; and thei sueden alien goddis, the goddis of puplis, that dwelliden in `the cumpasse of hem, and worschipeden tho goddis, and excitiden the Lord to greet wraththe, and forsoken hym,
13 Y dejaron al Señor, y se convirtieron en los siervos de Baal y los Astartes.
and serueden Baal and Astoroth.
14 Y se encendió la ira del Señor contra Israel, y él los entregó en manos de aquellos que violentamente tomaron sus bienes y en manos de sus enemigos que los rodeaban, para que se vieran obligados a ceder ante ellos.
And the Lord was wrooth ayens Israel, and bitook hem in to the hondis of rauyscheris, whiche rauyscheris token hem, and seelden to enemyes, that dwelliden `bi cumpas; and thei myyten not ayenstonde her aduersaries;
15 Dondequiera que salían, la mano del Señor estaba contra ellos por el mal, como el Señor había jurado que sería, y las cosas se pusieron muy difíciles para ellos.
but whidir euer thei wolden go, the hond of the Lord was on hem, as he spak and swoor to hem; and thei weren turmentid greetli.
16 Entonces el Señor les dio jueces, como sus salvadores de las manos de aquellos que fueron crueles con ellos.
And the Lord reiside iugis, that `delyueriden hem fro the hondis of destrieris, but thei nolden here hem,
17 Pero aun así no quisieron escuchar a sus jueces, sino que fueron tras otros dioses y les dieron adoración; Cambiando rápidamente de la manera en que habían ido sus padres, cumpliendo las órdenes del Señor; Pero no lo hicieron.
and thei diden fornycacioun, `that is, idolatrie, with alien goddis, and worschipiden hem. Soone thei forsoken the weie, bi which `the fadris of hem entriden; and thei herden the `comaundementis of the Lord, and diden alle thingis contrarie.
18 Y siempre que el Señor les daba jueces, el Señor estaba con el juez, y era su salvador de las manos de sus enemigos, todos los días del juez; porque el Señor fue conmovido por sus gritos de dolor a causa de aquellos que fueron crueles con ellos.
And whanne the Lord reiside iugis in `the daies of hem, he was bowid bi mercy, and he herde the weilyngis of hem turmentid, and he delyuerede hem fro the sleyng of wasteris.
19 Pero cada vez que el juez estaba muerto, volvían y hacían más mal que sus padres, yendo tras otros dioses, para ser sus siervos y sus adoradores; Sin renunciar a sus pecados, sus caminos y su terquedad.
Sotheli aftir that the iuge was deed, thei turneden ayen, and diden many thingis grettere `in yuel than her fadris diden; and thei sueden alien goddis, and serueden hem, and worschipiden hem; thei leften not her owne fyndyngis, and the hardeste weie `bi which thei weren wont to go.
20 Y la ira del Señor estaba ardiendo contra Israel, y dijo: Porque esta nación no ha sido fiel a mi acuerdo que hice con sus padres, y no ha escuchado mi voz;
And the strong veniaunce of the Lord was wrooth ayens Israel, and he seide, For this puple hath maad voide my couenaunt which Y couenauntide with her fadris, and dispiside to here my vois; also Y schal not do a wey folkis,
21 De ahora en adelante, no seguiré expulsando de ellos a ninguna de las naciones que a la muerte de Josué todavía vivían en esta tierra;
whiche Josue `lefte, and was deed;
22 Para poner a prueba a Israel, y ver si van a seguir el camino del Señor, caminando en él como lo hicieron sus padres, o no.
that in hem Y asaie Israel, whether thei kepen the weie of the Lord, and goen ther ynne, as her fadris kepten, ether nay.
23 Entonces el Señor dejó que esas naciones siguieran viviendo en la tierra, no los echaron rápidamente, y no los entregaron en manos de Josué.
Therfor the Lord lefte alle these naciouns, and nolde destrie soone, nethir bitook in to the hondis of Josue.
