Juan 10
1 De cierto les digo, que el que no entra por la puerta principal del redil a donde están las ovejas, sino que brinca el corral, es ladrón y fugitivo.
“Most assuredly I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
2 El que entra por la puerta es el pastor de las ovejas.
But he who enters by the door is a shepherd of the sheep.
3 El portero lo deja entrar; y las ovejas oyen su voz; él llama cada oveja por su nombre y las saca.
To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
4 Cuando las saca a todas, va delante de ellas, y las ovejas lo siguen, porque conocen su voz.
And whenever he takes out his own sheep he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice.
5 No perseguirán a otro que no sea su pastor, sino que huirán de él, porque desconocen su voz.
But they will not follow a stranger; rather they will run away from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.”
6 En esto Jesús les estaba enseñando en forma de historia: pero lo que él dijo no estaba claro para ellos.
Jesus gave them this illustration, but they did not understand what He was telling them.
7 Entonces Jesús dijo otra vez: De cierto, de cierto te digo, que yo soy la puerta por donde pasan las ovejas.
Then Jesus addressed them again: “Most assuredly I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 Todos los que vinieron antes de mí son ladrones y fugitivos; pero las ovejas no les prestaron atención.
All who ever came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.
9 Yo soy la puerta: si alguno entra por mí, tendrá salvación, será como una oveja que entra y sale, y obtendrá pastos.
I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
10 El ladrón viene solo para robar las ovejas y darles muerte; viene para destruirlas. Yo he venido para que tengan vida y la tengan en abundancia.
The thief comes only in order to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come so that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
11 Yo soy el buen pastor de las ovejas: el buen pastor da su vida por las ovejas.
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life on behalf of the sheep.
12 El que es guardia de paga, ve al lobo que viene y se va huyendo, lejos de las ovejas; y el lobo desciende sobre ellas y las envía en todas direcciones;
But the hired man, not being the shepherd and not owning the sheep, sees the wolf coming and abandons the sheep, and runs away; and the wolf snatches the sheep and scatters them.
13 porque él es un sirviente, y no tiene interés en las ovejas.
Now the hired man runs away because he is a hired man and it does not matter to him about the sheep.
14 Yo soy el buen pastor; conozco a mis ovejas, y ellas me conocen a mí,
“I am the good shepherd, and I know my own sheep, and I am known by them.
15 Así como el Padre me conoce y yo conozco al Padre; y estoy dando mi vida por las ovejas.
Just as the Father knows me, I also know the Father, and I lay down my life on behalf of the sheep.
16 Y tengo otras ovejas que no son de este redil; seré su guía en la misma dirección, y oirán mi voz, y habrá un rebaño y un pastor.
I also have other sheep, that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice; and there will be one flock, one shepherd.
17 Por esta razón soy amado por el Padre, porque renuncio a mi vida para poder tomarla nuevamente.
“Because of this the Father loves me, in that I lay down my life so that I may take it up again.
18 Nadie me la quita; Yo renuncio a mi mismo Tengo poder para abandonarla, y tengo poder para tomarla de nuevo. Estas son órdenes que tengo de mi Padre.
No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This command I have received from my Father.”
19 Hubo una división entre los judíos a causa de estas palabras.
Therefore there was another division among the Jews because of these words.
20 Y algunos de ellos dijeron: Tiene un espíritu malo y está loco; ¿Por qué le escuchan?
Many of them were saying: “He has a demon and is raving mad. Why do you listen to him?”
21 Otros dijeron: Estas no son las palabras de uno que tiene un espíritu malo. ¿Es posible que un espíritu maligno haga que las personas ciegas puedan recobrar la vista?
Others were saying: “These are not the sayings of someone who is demonized. A demon cannot open blind people's eyes, can it?”
22 Luego vino la fiesta de la dedicación del Templo en Jerusalén, era invierno;
Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem; and it was winter.
23 Y Jesús estaba caminando en el Templo, por el Pórtico de Salomón.
And Jesus was walking about in the temple, in Solomon's porch.
24 Entonces los judíos se le acercaron, diciendo: ¿Hasta cuándo nos mantendrás en la duda? Si tu eres el Cristo, dínoslo de una vez.
Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him: “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
25 Jesús dijo en respuesta: Lo he dicho y ustedes no creen: las obras que hago en nombre de mi Padre son testimonio de mí.
Jesus answered them: “I did tell you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name—these testify concerning me.
26 Pero no tienen fe porque no son mis ovejas.
But you do not believe because you are not among my sheep, just like I told you.
27 Mis ovejas oyen mi voz, y yo las conozco, y ellas me siguen;
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
29 Lo que mi Padre me ha dado, es más poderoso que todos; y nadie puede quitar nada de la mano del Padre.
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch out of my Father's hand.
30 Yo y mi Padre somos uno.
I and the Father are one.”
31 Entonces los judíos tomaron piedras otra vez para apedrearlo.
Therefore the Jews picked up stones again to stone Him.
32 Jesús les dijo en respuesta: Te he permitido ver una serie de buenas obras del Padre; ¿Por cuál de esas obras me están apedreando?
Jesus answered them: “Many good works I have shown you from my Father. For which one of them are you stoning me?”
33 Esta fue su respuesta: no te estamos apedreando por un buen trabajo sino por blasfemia; porque siendo hombre te haces Dios.
The Jews answered Him saying, “It is not for a good work that we are stoning you, but for blasphemy; precisely because you, being a man, make yourself God!”
34 En respuesta, Jesús dijo: ¿No hay un dicho en su ley? Yo Dije: ¿Ustedes son dioses?
Jesus answered them: “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, you are gods’?
35 Si dijo que eran dioses, a quienes vino la palabra de Dios y las Escrituras no pueden ser negadas,
If He called them ‘gods’ to whom the Word of God came—and the Scripture cannot be broken—
36 ¿Has dicho de aquel a quien el Padre santificó y envió al mundo? Tus palabras son malas. porque dije, ¿soy el Hijo de Dios?
do you say ‘You are blaspheming’ to the One the Father sanctified and sent into the world because I said, ‘I am God's Son’?
37 Si no estoy haciendo las obras de mi Padre, no tengan fe en mí;
If I am not doing the works of my Father, do not believe me.
38 Pero si las estoy haciendo, entonces tengan fe en las obras, incluso si no creen en mí; para que puedan ver claramente y estar seguros de que el Padre está en mí y yo estoy en el Padre.
But if I am doing them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, so that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in Him.”
39 Entonces otra vez intentaron llevarlo; pero se escapó de ellos.
So they tried again to seize Him, but He escaped from their hand.
40 Y volvió otra vez al otro lado del Jordán, al lugar donde primero dio el bautismo a Juan; y estuvo allí por un tiempo.
He went away again across the Jordan, to the place where John was baptizing at first; and He remained there.
41 Y vino a él gran número de personas, diciendo: Juan no hizo ninguna señal, pero todo lo que Juan dijo de este hombre era verdad.
And many came to Him and said, “Though John did not perform any sign, everything John said about this man was true.”
42 Y muchos creyeron en él allí.
And many of the people there believed into Him.
