Joel 3
1 Porque en aquellos días y en ese tiempo, cuando haga volver la cautividad de Judá y Jerusalén,
For lo! in those days, and at that time, —when I shall bring back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 Reuniré a todas las naciones y haré que desciendan al valle de Josafat y allí entraré en juicio a favor de Mi Pueblo, mi herencia Israel, a quienes han enviado vagando entre las naciones, y han repartido mi tierra.
Then will I gather all the nations, and bring them down into the Vale of Jehoshaphat, —and will enter into judgment with them there, concerning my people, and mine inheritance Israel, whom they scattered among the nations, and, my land, they apportioned;
3 Y han puesto el destino de mi pueblo a la decisión del azar; dan un niño por el precio de una ramera y una niña por una copa de vino para beber.
And, for my people, they cast lots, —and gave a boy for a harlot, and a girl sold they for wine—and drank.
4 Y además, ¿qué quieren de mí, Tiro y Sidón y todo el círculo de Filistea? ¿Se quieren vengar de mi? y si lo hacen, y muy pronto haré volver la venganza a su cabeza,
Moreover also, what have, ye, to do with me, O Tyre and Zidon, and all the circuit of Palestine? A recompense, are ye paying back unto me? But, though ye should make a recompense unto me, swiftly, speedily, would I return your recompense upon your own head.
5 Porque han tomado mi plata y mi oro, y han puesto en las casas de sus dioses mis cosas bellas y agradables.
Because, my silver and my gold, ye took away, —and, my richly beautiful things, carried ye into your temples;
6 Y a los hijos de Judá y a los hijos de Jerusalén los vendieron a los hijos de los griegos, para enviarlos lejos de su tierra.
And, the sons of Judah and the sons of Jerusalem, ye sold to the sons of Greece, —that they might be far removed from their own boundary.
7 Mira, haré que se trasladen del lugar donde los enviaste, y dejaré que lo que has hecho vuelva a tu cabeza;
Behold me! rousing them up out of the place whither ye sold them, —So will I bring back your dealing upon your own head.
8 Y venderé a tus hijos y a tus hijas en manos de los hijos de Judá, y ellos los venderán a los hombres de Seba, una nación lejana; porque el Señor lo ha dicho.
And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the sons of Judah, and they will sell them to Sabeans, unto a nation afar off, —for, Yahweh, hath spoken.
9 Proclamen esto entre las naciones; prepárate para la guerra: despierta a los hombres fuertes; que se acerquen todos los hombres de guerra, que suban.
Proclaim ye this, among the nations, Hallow a war, rouse the mighty ones, let them draw near, come up, all the men of war!
10 Haz que tus cuchillas de arado se conviertan en espadas y tus cuchillos de viña en lanzas: deja que los débiles digan que soy fuerte.
Beat your plough-shares into swords, and your pruning-hooks into spears, —as for the weak, let him say, mighty, I am.
11 Vengan pronto, todas las naciones que te rodean, y reúnanse allí; haz que los fuertes desciendan, oh Señor.
Give help—and come in, all ye nations on every side, and gather yourselves together, —Thither, bring down, O Yahweh, thy mighty ones!
12 Despierten las naciones, y vengan al valle de Josafat; porque allí me sentaré como juez de todas las naciones de alrededor.
Let the nations, be roused, and come up, into the Vale of Jehoshaphat, —for, there, will I sit to judge all the nations, on every side.
13 Pon la cuchilla, porque el grano está listo; ven, bájate, porque la trituradora de vino está llena, los vasos se desbordan; porque grande es su maldad.
Thrust ye in the vintage knife, for, grown ripe, is the vintage, —Go in, tread down, for full is the winepress, flow over do the vats, for abundant is their wickedness.
14 ¡Grandes multitudes en el valle de la decisión! porque el día del Señor está cerca en el valle de la decisión.
Multitudes, multitudes, in the vale of strict decision, —for near is the day of Yahweh, in the vale of strict decision.
15 El sol y la luna se han oscurecido, y las estrellas retienen su brillo.
The sun and the moon, have become dark, —and, the stars, have withdrawn their shining,
16 Y el Señor ruge desde Sion, y su voz sonará desde Jerusalén; y los cielos y la tierra temblarán; pero el Señor será un refugio para su pueblo y un lugar fuerte para los hijos de Israel.
And, Yahweh, out of Zion, will roar, and, out of Jerusalem, will utter his voice, and the heavens and the earth, shall tremble, —but, Yahweh, shall be a shelter to his people, and a refuge to the sons of Israel.
17 Y ustedes sabrán que yo soy el Señor su Dios, viviendo en Sión, mi monte santo; y Jerusalén será santa, y ninguna persona extranjera volverá a pasar más por ella.
So shall ye know that, I, Yahweh, am your God, making my habitation in Zion my holy mountain, —So shall, Jerusalem, be, holy, and, foreigners, shall pass through her no more.
18 Y sucederá en ese día que las montañas destilarán vino dulce, y las colinas fluirán con leche, y todas las corrientes de Judá fluirán con agua; y una fuente saldrá de la casa del Señor, regando el valle de acacias.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drip sweet wine, and the hills shall flow down with milk, and, all the channels of Judah, shall flow down with waters, —and, a spring, out of the house of Yahweh, shall come forth, and shall water the torrent-valley of the acacias.
19 Egipto será un desierto y Edom una tierra de destrucción, a causa del mal hecho a los hijos de Judá, porque han derramado sangre en su tierra sin causa.
Egypt, to a desolation, shall be turned, and, Edom, to a desert most desolate, shall be changed, —because of the violence done to the sons of Judah, in that they shed innocent blood in their land.
20 Pero Judá estará poblada para siempre, y Jerusalén de generación en generación.
But, Judah, age-abidingly, shall remain, and, Jerusalem, to generation after generation.
21 Y limpiaré su sangre, su sangre, que aún no he limpiado, porque el Señor habita en Sión.
And I will free from their blood-guiltiness them whom I had not freed, —for, Yahweh, is about to make his habitation in Zion.
