Job 42
1 Y respondió Job en respuesta al Señor:
Forsothe Joob answeride to the Lord, and seide,
2 Veo que eres capaz de hacer todo, y no hay pensamiento que se esconda de ti.
Y woot, that thou maist alle thingis, and no thouyt is hid fro thee.
3 ¿Quién es este que oculta el consejo de Dios con palabras sin conocimiento? Porque he estado hablando sin saber acerca de las maravillas que yo no sabía.
Who is this, that helith counsel with out kunnyng? Therfor Y spak vnwiseli, and tho thingis that passiden ouer mesure my kunnyng.
4 Escúchame, y diré lo que tengo en mente; Te haré preguntas y tú me darás las respuestas.
Here thou, and Y schal speke; Y schal axe thee, and answere thou to me.
5 Te conocía sólo de oídas, pero ahora mi ojo te ha visto.
Bi heryng of eere Y herde thee, but now myn iye seeth thee.
6 Por esta razón, doy testimonio de que lo que dije es falso, y con dolor me siento en el polvo.
Therfor Y repreue me, and do penaunce in deed sparcle and aische.
7 Y después de haberle dicho estas palabras a Job, el Señor le dijo a Elifaz el Temanita: Estoy muy enojado contigo y con tus dos amigos, porque no has dicho lo que es correcto acerca de mí, como lo dijo mi siervo Job.
Forsothe aftir that the Lord spak these wordis to Joob, he seide to Eliphat Themanytes, My stronge veniaunce is wrooth ayens thee, and ayens thi twey frendis; for ye `spaken not bifor me riytful thing, as my seruaunt Joob dide.
8 Y ahora, toma siete bueyes y siete ovejas, y ve a mi siervo Job, y haz una ofrenda quemada por ti mismo, y mi siervo Job hará oración por ti, para que no pueda enviarte castigo; porque no han dicho lo que es correcto acerca de mí, como lo ha hecho mi sirviente Job.
Therfor take ye to you seuene bolis, and seuene rammes; and go ye to my seruaunt Joob, and offre ye brent sacrifice for you. Forsothe Joob, my seruaunt, schal preie for you; Y schal resseyue his face, that foli be not arettid to you; for ye `spaken not bifor me riytful thing, as my seruaunt Joob dide.
9 Y Elifaz el Temanita, y Bildad el Suhita, y Zofar el Naamatita, fueron e hicieron lo que el Señor había dicho. Y el SEÑOR dio oído a Job.
Therfor Eliphat Themanytes, and Baldach Suythes, and Sophar Naamathites, yeden, and diden, as the Lord hedde spoke to hem; and the Lord resseyuede the face of Joob.
10 Y el Señor recompensó a Job por todas sus pérdidas, después de haber orado por sus amigos: y todo lo que Job tenía antes fue aumentado por el Señor el doble.
Also the Lord was conuertid to the penaunce of Joob, whanne he preiede for hise frendis. And the Lord addide alle thingis double, whiche euere weren of Joob.
11 Y todos sus hermanos y hermanas, y sus antiguos amigos, vinieron y comieron con él en su casa; y aclararon su dolor por él, y le dieron consuelo por todo el mal que el Señor le había enviado; y todos le dieron un poco de dinero y un anillo de oro.
Sotheli alle hise britheren, and alle hise sistris, and alle that knewen hym bifore, camen to hym; and thei eeten breed with hym in his hows, and moueden the heed on hym; and thei coumfortiden hym of al the yuel, which the Lord hadde brouyt in on hym; and thei yauen to hym ech man o scheep, and o goldun eere ring.
12 Y la bendición del Señor fue mayor en el final de la vida de Job que en su inicio; y así llegó a tener catorce mil ovejas y cabras, seis mil camellos, dos mil bueyes y mil asnas.
Forsothe the Lord blesside the laste thingis of Joob, more than the bigynnyng of hym; and fouretene thousynde of scheep weren maad to hym, and sixe thousinde of camels, and a thousynde yockis of oxis, and a thousynde femal assis.
13 Y tuvo catorce hijos y tres hijas.
And he hadde seuene sones, and thre douytris;
14 Y le dio a la primera el nombre de Jemima, la segunda Cesia y la tercero Kerenhapuc;
and he clepide the name of o douytir Dai, and the name of the secounde douytir Cassia, and the name of the thridde douytir `An horn of wymmens oynement.
15 Y no había mujeres tan hermosas como las hijas de Job en toda la tierra: y su padre les dio una herencia entre sus hermanos.
`Sotheli no wymmen weren foundun so faire in al erthe, as the douytris of Joob; and her fadir yaf eritage to hem among her britheren.
16 Y después de esto, Job tuvo ciento cuarenta años de vida, y vio a sus hijos, y los hijos de sus hijos, incluso cuatro generaciones.
Forsothe Joob lyuede aftir these betyngis an hundrid and fourti yeer, and `siy hise sones, and the sones of hise sones, `til to the fourthe generacioun;
17 Y Job llegó a su fin, viejo y lleno de días.
and he was deed eld, and ful of daies.
