Job 32

1 Así que estos tres hombres no dieron más respuestas a Job, porque él parecía tener razón.

And these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

2 Y Eliu, el hijo de Baraquel el Buzita, de la familia de Ram, estaba enojado, ardiendo de ira contra Job, porque se parecía a sí mismo más justo que Dios;

Then was kindled the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram: against Job was his anger kindled, because he justified himself rather than God;

3 Y estaba enojado con sus tres amigos, porque no habían podido darle una respuesta, y no habían dejado claro el pecado de Job.

and against his three friends was his anger kindled, because they found no answer, and [yet] condemned Job.

4 Ahora Eliú había guardado silencio mientras Job estaba hablando, porque eran más viejos que él;

But Elihu had waited till Job had finished speaking, because they were older than he.

5 Y cuando Eliu vio que no había respuesta en la boca de los tres hombres, se enojó mucho.

And Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, and his anger was kindled.

6 Y Eliú, el hijo de Baraquel el Buzita, respondió y dijo: Soy joven, y tú eres muy viejo, así que tenía miedo, y evité poner mi conocimiento delante de ti.

And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are aged; wherefore I was timid, and feared to shew you what I know.

7 Me dije a mí mismo: que los días hablarán y que muestren su sabiduría los muchos en años.

I said, Let days speak, and multitude of years teach wisdom.

8 Pero en verdad es el espíritu del Todopoderoso en el hombre, lo que les da conocimiento.

But there is a spirit which is in man; and the breath of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

9 No son los viejos los que son sabios, y los que están llenos de años no tienen el conocimiento de lo que es correcto.

It is not the great that are wise; neither do the aged understand judgment.

10 Por eso digo: “Escúchame, y expondré mi conocimiento”.

Therefore I say, Hearken to me; I also will shew what I know.

11 Esperaba tus palabras, escuchaba tus sabios dichos; mientras estabas buscando qué decir,

Lo, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasonings, until ye searched out what to say.

12 Estaba tomando nota; y verdaderamente ninguno de ustedes pudo aclarar el error de Job, o dar una respuesta a sus palabras.

Yea, I gave you mine attention, and behold, there was none of you that confuted Job, that answered his words;

13 Cuida de no decir: Hemos encontrado la sabiduría; Dios puede vencerlo, pero no el hombre.

That ye may not say, We have found out wisdom; God will make him yield, not man.

14 No propondré palabras como éstas, ni haré uso de tus palabras para responderle.

Now he hath not directed [his] words against me; and I will not answer him with your speeches. ...

15 El miedo los ha vencido, no tienen más respuestas que dar; Han llegado a su fin.

They were amazed, they answered no more; words failed them.

16 ¿Y voy a seguir esperando mientras no tienen nada que decir? ¿Mientras se callan y no dan más respuestas?

And I waited, for they spoke not, but stood still, and answered no more; —

17 Daré mi respuesta; Voy a presentar mis conocimientos.

I will answer, I also in my turn, I also will shew what I know:

18 Porque estoy lleno de palabras, el espíritu dentro de mi me constriñe.

For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.

19 Mi estómago es como el vino que no puede salir; Como las pieles llenas de vino nuevo, casi se rompe.

Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; like new flasks, it is ready to burst.

20 Déjame decir lo que tengo en mente, para que pueda consolarme; Déjame contestar con la boca abierta.

I will speak, that I may find relief; I will open my lips and answer.

21 No permitas que respete a ningún hombre, o que le dé nombres de honor a ningún ser vivo.

Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person; neither will I give flattery to man.

22 Porque no puedo dar nombres de honor a ningún hombre; y si lo hiciera, mi Creador me llevaría rápidamente.

For I know not how to flatter; my Maker would soon take me away.
