Job 21
1 Entonces Job respondió y dijo:
Bvt Iob answered, and sayd,
2 Presta atención con cuidado a mis palabras; y deja que este sea tu consuelo.
Heare diligently my wordes, and this shalbe in stead of your consolations.
3 Déjame decir lo que tengo en mente, y después de eso, siguan burlándose de mí.
Suffer mee, that I may speake, and when I haue spoken, mocke on.
4 En cuanto a mí, ¿mi queja es contra el hombre? entonces para que preguntarse si mi espíritu está angustiado?
Doe I direct my talke to man? If it were so, how should not my spirit be troubled?
5 Toma nota de mí y llénate de maravilla, ponte la mano en la boca.
Marke mee, and be abashed, and lay your hand vpon your mouth.
6 Al pensarlo, mi carne tiembla de miedo.
Euen when I remember, I am afrayde, and feare taketh hold on my flesh.
7 ¿Por qué se da la vida a los malvados? ¿Por qué se vuelven viejos y fuertes en el poder?
Wherefore do the wicked liue, and waxe olde, and grow in wealth?
8 Su simiente están establecidos delante de ellos, y su descendencia delante de sus ojos.
Their seede is established in their sight with them, and their generation before their eyes.
9 Sus casas están libres de temor, y la vara de Dios no viene sobre ellos.
Their houses are peaceable without feare, and the rod of God is not vpon them.
10 Su buey engendra sin fallar; Su vaca da a luz, sin abortar.
Their bullocke gendreth, and fayleth not: their cow calueth, and casteth not her calfe.
11 Envían a sus pequeños como un rebaño, y sus hijos disfrutan bailando.
They send forth their children like sheepe, and their sonnes dance.
12 Hacen canciones a los instrumentos de música, y se alegran del sonido de las flautas.
They take the tabret and harpe, and reioyce in the sound of the organs.
They spend their dayes in wealth, and suddenly they go downe to the graue. (Sheol h7585)
14 Aunque dijeron a Dios: Aléjate de nosotros, porque no deseamos el conocimiento de tus caminos.
They say also vnto God, Depart from vs: for we desire not the knowledge of thy wayes.
15 ¿Quién es él Todopoderoso, para que podamos adorarlo? ¿Y de qué nos sirve hacer oración a él?
Who is the Almightie, that we should serue him? and what profit should we haue, if we should pray vnto him?
16 En verdad, ¿no está su bienestar en su poder? El consejo de los malhechores está lejos de mí.
Lo, their wealth is not in their hand: therfore let the counsell of the wicked bee farre from me.
17 ¿Con qué frecuencia se apaga la luz de los malhechores, o les vienen problemas? ¿Con qué frecuencia su ira les causa dolor?
How oft shall the candle of the wicked be put out? and their destruction come vpon them? he wil deuide their liues in his wrath.
18 ¿Con qué frecuencia son dispersados como paja ante el viento, o como la hierba arrebatada por el viento de tormenta?
They shall be as stubble before the winde, and as chaffe that the storme carieth away.
19 Tú dices: Dios mantiene el castigo acumulado para sus hijos. ¡Que pague, para que sepa.
God wil lay vp the sorowe of the father for his children: when he rewardeth him, hee shall knowe it.
20 ¡Que sus ojos vean su ruina, y que beba de la ira del Todopoderoso!
His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drinke of the wrath of the Almightie.
21 ¿Qué interés tiene él en su casa después de que muere, cuando se termina el número de sus meses?
For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the nomber of his moneths is cut off?
22 ¿Alguien puede enseñar sabiduría a Dios? siendo él, el juez de los que están en lo alto.
Shall any teache God knowledge, who iudgeth the highest things?
23 Uno llega a su fin en completo bienestar, lleno de paz y tranquilidad:
One dyeth in his full strength, being in all ease and prosperitie.
24 Sus cubetas están llenos de leche, y no hay pérdida de fuerza en sus huesos.
His breasts are full of milke, and his bones runne full of marowe.
25 Y otro llega a su fin con un alma amargada, sin haber probado el buen sabor.
And another dieth in the bitternes of his soule, and neuer eateth with pleasure.
26 Juntos bajan al polvo, y son cubiertos por el gusano.
They shall sleepe both in the dust, and the wormes shall couer them.
27 Mira, soy consciente de tus pensamientos y de tus propósitos violentos contra mí;
Behold, I know your thoughts, and the enterprises, wherewith ye do me wrong.
28 Porque dices: ¿Dónde está la casa del príncipe, y dónde está la tienda del que hace el mal?
For ye say, Where is the princes house? and where is the tabernacle of the wickeds dwelling?
29 ¿No has hecho la pregunta a los viajeros y no tomas nota de su experiencia?
May ye not aske the that go by the way? and ye can not deny their signes.
30 ¿Cómo el hombre malo sale libre en el día de angustia, y tiene la salvación en el día de ira?
But the wicked is kept vnto the day of destruction, and they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
31 ¿Quién se dirigirá a su cara? y si ha hecho algo, ¿quién lo castiga?
Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall reward him for that he hath done?
32 Lo llevan a su último lugar de descanso y lo vigila.
Yet shall he be brought to the graue, and remaine in the heape.
33 La tierra del valle que cubre sus huesos es dulce para él, y todos los hombres vienen después de él, y antes de él han ido innumerables.
The slimie valley shalbe sweete vnto him, and euery man shall draw after him, as before him there were innumerable.
34 ¿Por qué, entonces, me das consuelo con palabras en las que no hay ganancia, cuando ves que no hay nada en tus respuestas sino engaño?
How then comfort ye me in vaine, seeing in your answeres there remaine but lyes?
