Job 19

1 Y Job respondió y dijo:

Then Job answered and said,

2 ¿Cuánto tiempo harás mi vida amarga, y me quebrantas con palabras?

How long will you vex my soul, and destroy me with words? only know that the Lord has dealt with me thus.

3 Diez veces me has escarnecido; no te da vergüenza de hacerme mal.

You speak against me; you do not feel for me, but bear hard upon me.

4 Y, en verdad, si he estado en error, el efecto de mi error es solo en mí.

Yes verily, I have erred in truth, (but the error abides with myself) in having spoken words which it was not right [to speak]; and my words err, and are unreasonable.

5 Si se Han engrandecido contra mí, usando mi castigo como un argumento en mi contra,

But alas! for you magnify yourselves against me, and insult me with reproach.

6 Asegúrate de que es Dios quien me hizo mal y me tomó en su red.

Know then that it is the Lord that has troubled [me], and has raised his bulwark against me.

7 En verdad, hago un clamor contra el hombre violento, pero no hay respuesta: grito pidiendo ayuda, pero nadie toma mi causa.

Behold, I laugh at reproach; I will not speak: [or] I will cry out, but [there is] nowhere judgement.

8 Mi camino está amurallado por él para que no pueda pasar, ha oscurecido mis caminos.

I am fenced round about, and can by no means escape: he has set darkness before my face.

9 Él ha quitado mi gloria de mí, y ha quitado la corona de mi cabeza.

And he has stripped me of my glory, and has taken the crown from my head.

10 Estoy destruido por él por todos lados, y me he ido; Mi esperanza es arrancada como un árbol.

He has torn me around about, and I am gone: and he has cut off my hope like a tree.

11 Su ira arde contra mí, y yo soy para él como uno de sus enemigos.

And he has dreadfully handled me in anger, and has counted me for an enemy.

12 Sus ejércitos se juntan, hacen su camino alto contra mí y levantan sus tiendas alrededor de la mía.

His troops also came upon me with one accord, liars in wait compassed my ways.

13 Él ha alejado a mis hermanos de mí; Han visto mi destino y se han vuelto extraños para mí.

My brethren have stood aloof from me; they have recognised strangers [rather] than me: and my friends have become pitiless.

14 Mis relaciones y mis amigos cercanos me han abandonado, y los que viven en mi casa me sacaron de la cabeza.

My nearest of kin have not acknowledged me, and they that knew my name, have forgotten me.

15 Soy extraño para mis sirvientas, y me parece que son de otro país.

[As for] my household, and my maidservants, I was a stranger before them.

16 Ante mi clamor, mi siervo no me responde y tengo que rogarle.

I called my servant, and he listened not; and my mouth entreated [him].

17 Mi aliento es extraño para mi esposa, y desagradable para la descendencia del cuerpo de mi madre.

And I implored my wife, and earnestly entreated the sons of my concubines.

18 Incluso los niños pequeños no me tienen ningún respeto; cuando me levanto me dan la espalda.

But they rejected me for ever; whenever I rise up, they speak against me.

19 Todos los hombres de mi círculo se alejan de mí; y los que me son queridos se vuelven contra mí.

They that saw me abhorred me: the very persons whom I had loved, rose up against me.

20 Mis huesos están unidos a mi piel, y me he salido con la carne entre los dientes.

My flesh is corrupt under my skin, and my bones are held in [my] teeth.

21 ¡Ten piedad de mí, ten piedad de mí, mis amigos! porque la mano de Dios está sobre mí.

Pity me, pity me, O friends; for it is the hand of the Lord that has touched me.

22 ¿Por qué eres cruel conmigo, como Dios, porque siempre has dicho mal contra mí?

Therefore do you persecute me as also the Lord [does], and are not satisfied with my flesh?

23 ¡Si tan solo mis palabras pudieran ser grabadas! ¡Si pudieran ponerse por escrito en un libro!

For oh that my words were written, and that they were recorded in a book forever,

24 ¡Y con una pluma de hierro y plomo córtate para siempre en la roca!

with an iron pen and lead, or graven in the rocks!

25 Pero estoy seguro de que mi redentor está vivo, y que, en el futuro, tomará su lugar en la tierra;

For I know that he is eternal who is about to deliver me,

26 Después de que los gusanos destruyan mi piel, aun en mi propia carne veré a Dios;

[and] to raise up upon the earth my skin that endures these [sufferings]: for these things have been accomplished to me of the Lord;

27 A quien veré de mi lado, y no como a nadie extraño. Mi corazón se rompe con el deseo.

which I am conscious of in myself, which mine eye has seen, and not another, but all have been fulfilled to me in [my] bosom.

28 Si dicen: ¡Como lo perseguiremos! porque la raíz del pecado está claramente en él.

But if you shall also say, What shall we say before him, and [so] find the root of the matter in him?

29 Teme por la espada, porque la espada es el castigo por tales cosas, para que puedas estar seguro de que hay un juez.

Do you also beware of deceit: for wrath will come upon transgressors; and then shall they know where their substance is.
