Job 17
1 Mi espíritu está quebrado, mis días han terminado, el sepulcro está listo para mí.
My spirit is consumed, my days are extinct, the grave is [ready] for me.
2 En verdad, los que se burlan, están a mi alrededor, y mis ojos continúan viendo su amarga risa.
Surely there are mockers with me, and mine eye abideth in their provocation.
3 Pon ahora tu fiador; porque no hay otro que ponga su mano en la mía.
Give now a pledge, be surety for me with thyself; who is there that will strike hands with me?
4 Guardaste sus corazones de la sabiduría; por esta razón no les darás honor.
For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore shalt thou not exalt [them].
5 En cuanto al que es falso a su amigo por una recompensa, la luz se cortará de los ojos de sus hijos.
He that denounceth his friends for a prey, even the eyes of his children shall fail.
6 Me ha hecho vergüenza a los pueblos; y que me escupan en la cara.
He hath made me also a byword of the people; and I am become an open abhorring.
7 Mis ojos se han oscurecido debido a mi dolor, y todo mi cuerpo es como una sombra.
Mine eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members are as a shadow.
8 Los rectos se sorprenden de esto, y el que no ha hecho nada malo se levantará contra él hipócrita.
Upright men shall be astonied at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the godless.
9 Todavía los rectos mantendrán su camino, y el que tiene las manos limpias obtiene nuevas fuerzas.
Yet shall the righteous hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall wax stronger and stronger.
10 Pero regresen, ahora, todos ustedes, vengan; y no hallaré en ustedes a un hombre sabio.
But return ye, all of you, and come now: and I shall not find a wise man among you.
11 Mis días han pasado, mis propósitos se han roto, incluso los deseos de mi corazón.
My days are past, my purposes are broken off, even the droughts of my heart.
12 Están cambiando la noche en día; Dicen: La luz está cerca de la oscuridad.
They change the night into a day: the fight, [say they], is near unto the darkness.
If I look for Sheol as mine house; if I have spread my couch in the darkness; (Sheol h7585)
14 Si digo al sepulcro: Tú eres mi padre; y al gusano, mi madre y mi hermana;
If I have said to corruption, Thou art my father; to the worm, [Thou art] my mother, and my sister;
15 ¿Dónde está mi esperanza? ¿Y quién verá mi deseo?
Where then is my hope? and as for my hope, who shall see it?
