Jeremías 20

1 Llegó a oídos de Pasur, el hijo del sacerdote Imer, jefe de autoridad en la casa del Señor, que Jeremías estaba diciendo estas cosas;

And Phassur, the sone of Emyner, the preest, that was ordeyned prince in the hous of the Lord, herde Jeremye profesiynge these wordis.

2 Y Pasur le hizo azotar a Jeremías y le encadenaron los pies en un marco de madera en la entrada superior de Benjamín, que estaba en la casa del Señor.

And Phassur smoot Jeremye, the profete, and sente hym in to the stockis, that weren in the hiyere yate of Beniamyn, in the hous of the Lord.

3 Y al día siguiente, Pasur soltó a Jeremías. Entonces Jeremías le dijo: El Señor te ha dado el nombre de Magor-misabib (Causa del miedo en todas partes), no Pasur.

And whanne it was cleer in the morewe, Phassur ledde Jeremye out of the stockis. And Jeremye seide to hym, The Lord clepide not Phassur thi name, but Drede on ech side.

4 Porque el Señor ha dicho: Mira, te haré una causa de temor para ti y para todos tus amigos: ellos morirán por la espada de sus enemigos, y tus ojos lo verán; y entregaré a todo Judá en manos del rey de Babilonia, y él los llevará a los prisioneros a Babilonia y los pondrá a la espada.

For the Lord seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal yyue thee and alle thi freendis in to drede, and thei schulen falle doun bi the swerd of her enemyes; and thin iyen schulen se; and Y schal yyue al Juda in the hond of the king of Babiloyne, and he schal lede hem ouer in to Babiloyne, and he schal smyte hem bi swerd.

5 Y más que esto, daré toda la riqueza de esta ciudad y todos sus beneficios y todas sus cosas de valor, incluso todas las tiendas de los reyes de Judá entregaré en manos de sus enemigos, quienes los tomarán y llevarán a Babilonia.

And Y schal yyue al the catel of this citee, and al the trauel therof, and al the prijs; and Y schal yyue alle the tresours of the kingis of Juda in the hond of her enemyes; and thei schulen rauysche tho, and schulen take, and lede forth in to Babiloyne.

6 Y tú, Pasur, y todos los que están en tu casa, se irán prisioneros; vendrás a Babilonia y allí morirás y serás enterrado, tú y todos tus amigos, a quienes has profetizado palabras falsas.

Forsothe thou, Phassur, and alle the dwelleris of thin hous, schulen go in to caitifte; and thou schalt come in to Babiloyne, and thou schalt die there; and thou schalt be biried there, thou and alle thi freendis, to whiche thou profesiedist a leesyng.

7 Señor, tú me has persuadido, y me deje persuadir; eres más fuerte que yo, y me has superado; me he vuelto objeto de risa todo el día, todos me hacen burla.

Lord, thou disseyuedist me, and Y am disseyued; thou were strongere than Y, and thou haddist the maistrie; Y am maad in to scorn al dai.

8 Porque cada palabra que digo; Digo con voz fuerte: violencia y destrucción; porque la palabra del Señor ha venido a ser una afrenta para mí y una causa de burla todo el día.

Alle men bymowen me, for now a while ago Y speke criynge wickidnesse, and Y criede distriynge. And the word of the Lord is maad to me in to schenschip, and in to scorn al dai.

9 Y si digo, no lo tendré en cuenta, no diré otra palabra en su nombre; entonces está en mi corazón como un fuego ardiente encerrado en mis huesos, trato de contenerla dentro, y no puedo hacerlo.

And Y seide, Y schal not haue mynde on hym, and Y schal no more speke in his name. And the word of the Lord was maad, as fier swalynge in myn herte, and cloosid in my boonys; and Y failide, not suffryng to bere.

10 Porque muchos de ellos dicen mal en secreto a mis oídos (hay temor por todos lados): dicen: Vengan, vamos acusarlo; todos mis amigos más cercanos, que están a la espera de mi caída, dicen: Puede ser que lo engañen, y lo sacaremos de encima y le daremos un castigo.

For Y herde dispisyngis of many men, and drede in cumpas, Pursue ye, and pursue we hym, of alle men that weren pesible to me, and kepynge my side; if in ony maner he be disseyued, and we haue the maistrie ayens hym, and gete veniaunce of hym.

11 Pero el Señor está conmigo como un guerrero invencible, para ser temido grandemente; así mis atacantes caerán, y no me vencerán; serán avergonzados grandemente, pues no han triunfado, con afrenta perpetua porque nunca será olvidada.

Forsothe the Lord as a stronge werriour is with me, therfor thei that pursuen me schulen falle, and schulen be sijk; and thei schulen be schent greetli, for thei vndurstoden not euerlastynge schenschip, that schal neuere be don awei.

12 Pero, oh Señor de los ejércitos, probando a los rectos y viendo los pensamientos y el corazón, déjame ver que tu castigo venga sobre ellos; porque yo he puesto mi causa delante de ti.

And thou, Lord of oostis, the preuere of a iust man, which seest the reynes and herte, Y biseche, se Y thi veniaunce of hem; for Y haue schewid my cause to thee.

13 Haz melodía al Señor, alaba al Señor, porque ha liberado el alma del pobre de las manos de los malvados.

Synge ye to the Lord, herie ye the Lord, for he delyueride the soule of a pore man fro the hond of yuel men.

14 Una maldición el día de mi nacimiento; que no haya bendiciones el día en que mi madre me tuvo.

Cursid be the dai where ynne Y was borun, the dai where ynne my modir childide me, be not blessid.

15 Una maldición sobre el hombre que le dio la noticia a mi padre, diciendo: Tú tienes un hijo varón; haciéndolo muy alegre.

Cursid be the man, that telde to my fadir, and seide, A knaue child is borun to thee, and made hym glad as with ioye.

16 Que ese hombre sea como las ciudades derrocadas por el Señor sin piedad; que a la mañana llegue a sus oídos un clamor de auxilio, y alaridos al medio del día;

Thilke man be as the citees ben, whiche the Lord distriede, and it repentide not hym;

17 Porque no me mató antes de que naciera, así, el cuerpo de mi madre habría sido mi tumba y ella habría estado embarazada para siempre.

he that killide not me fro the wombe, here cry eerli, and yellynge in the tyme of myddai; that my modir were a sepulcre to me, and hir wombe were euerlastinge conseyuyng.

18 ¿Por qué salí del cuerpo de mi madre para ver aflicción y problemas, para que mis días se desperdicien en vergüenza?

Whi yede Y out of the wombe, that Y schulde se trauel and sorewe, and that mi daies schulen be waastid in schenschipe?
