Santiago 1
1 Santiago, siervo de Dios y del Señor Jesucristo, envía saludos a las doce tribus de los judíos que viven en todas partes de la tierra.
James of God and of [the] Lord Jesus Christ a servant To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion Greeting.
2 Dejen que sea todo un placer para ustedes, mis hermanos, cuando se vean sometidos a pruebas de todo tipo;
All joy do esteem [it], brothers of mine, when trials you may fall into various,
3 Porque tienen el conocimiento de que la prueba de su fe les da el poder de continuar con paciencia;
knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance;
4 Pero dejen que este poder tenga su pleno efecto, para que puedan perfeccionarse, sin necesitar nada.
And endurance work [its] perfect should have, so that you may be perfect and complete in nothing lacking.
5 Pero si alguno de ustedes está sin sabiduría, haga su petición a Dios, quien da gratuitamente a todos en abundancia sin reproche, se le dará.
If now any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask from the [One] giving God to all generously and (not *NK(o)*) finding fault, and it will be given to him.
6 Que haga su pedido con fe, sin dudar nada; porque el que tiene dudas en su corazón es como las olas del mar, que se turban por la conducción del viento.
he should ask however in faith nothing doubting; The [one] for doubting he has been likened to a wave of [the] sea being blown by the wind and being tossed by the wind.
7 No le parezca a tal hombre que obtendrá algo del Señor;
Not for should suppose the man that that he will receive anything from the Lord;
8 Porque hay división en su mente, y él es incierto en todos sus caminos.
[He is] a man double-minded unstable in all the ways of him.
9 Pero el hermano de posición baja se alegrará de que es exaltado;
should boast however the brother of low degree in the exaltation of him,
10 Pero el hombre rico, es humillado; porque, como la flor de la hierba, llegará a su fin.
he who [is] then rich in the humiliation of him because like a flower of grass he will pass away.
11 Porque cuando el sol sale con su ardiente calor, la hierba se seca y la gracia de su forma se va con la flor que cae; de igual manera el hombre de riqueza se deshace en sus caminos.
Has risen for the sun with [its] burning heat and withered the grass and the flower of it has fallen and the beauty of the appearance of it has perished; Thus also the rich [man] in the midst of the pursuits of him will fade away.
12 Hay una bendición en el hombre que se somete a la prueba; porque, si tiene la aprobación de Dios, se le dará la corona de la vida, que el Señor ha dicho que dará a los que le aman.
Blessed [is the] man who endures trial, because approved having been he will receive the crown of life that He has promised (the Lord *K*) to those loving Him.
13 Que nadie diga que cuando es probado, soy probado por Dios; porque no es posible que Dios sea probado por el mal, y él mismo no somete a ningún hombre a esa prueba:
No one being tempted should say that By (*k*) God I am being tempted; For God unable to be tempted is by evils, tempts now He Himself no [one];
14 Pero cada hombre es probado cuando es desviado del camino correcto por sus propias pasiones que lo atraen y lo seducen.
A man however is tempted by the own desire being drawn away and being enticed;
15 Entonces, llegado el momento, el deseo da a luz el pecado; y el pecado, cuando está en pleno crecimiento, da a luz a la muerte.
Then desire having conceived it gives birth to sin, and sin having become fully grown it brings forth death.
16 No se engañen, queridos hermanos.
Not do be misled, brothers of mine beloved;
17 Toda cosa buena y don perfecto nos es dada del cielo, viniendo del Padre de las luces, con quien no hay cambio ni sombra de variación.
Every act of giving good and every gift perfect from above is coming down from the Father of lights with whom not there is variation or of shifting shadow.
18 De su propósito nos dio el ser, por su palabra verdadera, para que seamos, en cierto sentido, las primicias de todas las cosas que él había hecho.
Having willed [it] He brought forth us by [the] word of truth, for to be us firstfruits a certain of His creatures.
19 Ustedes tienen conocimiento de esto, queridos hermanos. Pero que cada hombre sea rápido para escuchar, lento para hablar, lento para enojarse;
(You should know *N(K)O*) brothers of mine beloved; should be (however *no*) every man swift unto to hear, slow unto to speak, slow unto anger.
20 Porque la justicia de Dios no se produce por la ira del hombre.
[the] anger for of man [the] righteousness of God not (works. *N(k)O*)
21 Por esta razón, dejando de lado todo comportamiento sucio y la abundancia del mal, toma en tu alma sin orgullo la palabra que, plantada allí, puede darles la salvación.
Therefore having put aside all filthiness and excess of wickedness in humility do receive the implanted word which is being able to save the souls of you.
22 Pero sean hacedores de la palabra, y no solo oidores de ella, de lo contrario se engañan a sí mismos con ideas falsas.
do be however doers of [the] word and not only hearers deceiving yourselves.
23 Porque si alguno es oidor de la palabra y no hacedor, es como un hombre que mira su rostro natural en un espejo;
because if anyone a hearer of [the] word is and not a doer, this one has been likened to a man looking at the face the natural of him in a mirror;
24 Porque después de mirarse, se va, y en poco tiempo no tiene memoria de cómo era él.
he has viewed for himself and has gone away and immediately he has forgotten what like he was.
25 Pero aquel que sigue investigando la verdadera ley que lo hace libre, no siendo un oidor sin memoria sino un hacedor que lo pone en práctica, este hombre tendrá una bendición sobre sus actos.
The [one] however having looked intently into [the] law perfect that of freedom and having continued in [it], (this *k*) not a hearer forgetful having been but a doer of [the] work — this one blessed in the work to be done by him will be.
26 Si un hombre parece tener religión y no tiene control sobre su lengua, pero se deja engañar por lo que es falso, la religión de este hombre no tiene ningún valor.
If anyone seems religious to be (among you *K*) not bridling [the] tongue (of him *NK(o)*) but deceiving [the] heart (of him, *NK(o)*) of this one worthless [is] the religion.
27 La religión que es santa y está libre de mal a los ojos de nuestro Dios y Padre es ésta: cuidar de los niños que no tienen padres y viudas que están en tribulaciones, y mantenerse sin mancha del mundo.
Religion pure and undefiled before the God and Father this is, to visit orphans and widows in the tribulation of them, unstained oneself to keep from the world.
