Isaías 55
1 ¡Ah! todos los necesitados, vengan a las aguas, compren y coman; vengan, compren pan sin dinero; vino y leche sin precio.
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 ¿Por qué das tú dinero por lo que no es pan, y el fruto de tu trabajo por lo que no te dará placer? Escúchame, para que tu comida sea buena y tengas lo mejor en toda medida.
Why do ye spend money for [that which is] not bread? and your labor for [that which] satisfieth not? hearken diligently to me, and eat ye [that which is] good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
3 Escuchen, y vengan a mí, tomen nota con cuidado, para que sus almas tengan vida; y haré un acuerdo eterno con ustedes, cumpliendo las promesas conforme a las misericordias mostradas a David.
Incline your ear, and come to me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, [even] the sure mercies of David.
4 Mira, le he dado como testigo a los pueblos, como gobernante y guía a las naciones.
Behold, I have given him [for] a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
5 Mira, llamarás a una nación de la cual no tuviste conocimiento, y aquellos que no te conocieron vendrán corriendo hacia ti, a causa del Señor tu Dios y del Santo de Israel, porque Él te ha dado la gloria.
Behold, thou shalt call a nation [that] thou knowest not, and nations [that] knew not thee shall run to thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel, for he hath glorified thee.
6 Busquen al Señor mientras pueda ser hallado, oren a él mientras está cerca.
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Que el pecador abandone su camino, y el malvado su pensamiento; y que vuelva al Señor, que tendrá de él misericordia; y a nuestro Dios, porque es grande en perdonar.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return to the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 Porque mis pensamientos no son tus pensamientos, o tus caminos mis caminos, dice el Señor.
For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 Porque como los cielos son más altos que la tierra, así son mis caminos más altos que tus caminos, y mis pensamientos más que tus pensamientos.
For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 Porque a medida que la lluvia cae, y la nieve del cielo, y no vuelve atrás, sino que da agua a la tierra, y la hace fértil, dando semilla al sembrador, y pan para alimento;
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 Así será mi palabra que sale de mi boca; no volverá a mí sin haber hecho nada, pero dará efecto a mi propósito, y hará aquello para que la envíe.
So shall my word be that proceedeth from my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] for which I sent it.
12 Saldrás con gozo y serás guiado en paz; las montañas y los montes formarán una melodía delante de ti, y todos los árboles de los campos emitirán sonidos de gozo.
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap [their] hands.
13 En lugar de la espina subirá el abeto, y en lugar de la zarzamora el mirto; y será para gloria del nombre del Señor, una señal eterna que no será cortada.
Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir-tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle-tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign [that] shall not be cut off.
