Isaías 48

1 Escucha esto, oh familia de Jacob, tú, que llevas el nombre de Israel y has salido del cuerpo de Judá; que hacen juramentos por el nombre del Señor, y hacen uso del nombre del Dios de Israel, pero no verdaderamente y no de buena fe.

Hear yee this, O house of Iaakob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come out of the waters of Iudah: which sweare by the Name of the Lord, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousnesse.

2 Porque dicen que son del pueblo santo, y ponen su fe en el Dios de Israel, el Señor de los ejércitos es su nombre.

For they are called of the holy citie, and staie themselues vpon the God of Israel, whose Name is the Lord of hostes.

3 Dije en el pasado las cosas que sucederían; salieron de mi boca, y las proclamé; de repente actué y se cumplieron.

I haue declared ye former things of old, and they went out of my mouth, and I shewed them: I did them suddenly, and they came to passe.

4 Porque vi que tu corazón estaba duro, y que tu cuello era un tendón de hierro y tu frente de bronce;

Because I knewe, that thou art obstinate, and thy necke is an yron sinew, and thy brow brasse,

5 Por esta razón las declare en el pasado, antes de que sucediera te las proclame, te dije que lo hicieras; por temor a que pudieras decir: Fue mi ídolo quien hizo estas cosas, mi imagen tallada y las imágenes fundidas las hicieron aparecer.

Therefore I haue declared it to thee of old: before it came to passe, I shewed it thee, lest thou shouldest say, Mine idole hath done them, and my carued image, and my molten image hath commanded them.

6 Todo esto ha llegado a tus oídos y lo has visto; ¿No le darás testimonio? Ahora estoy haciendo cosas nuevas, incluso cosas secretas, de las que no tenías conocimiento.

Thou hast heard, behold all this, and wil not yee declare it? I haue shewed thee newe things, euen now, and hid things, which thou knewest not.

7 Solo ahora se han efectuado, y no en el pasado y antes de este día no habían llegado a tus oídos; Por temor a que pudieras decir, tenía conocimiento de ellos.

They are created now, and not of olde, and euen before this thou heardest them not, lest thou shouldest say, Beholde, I knewe them.

8 En verdad, no tenías palabra de ellos, ni conocimiento de ellos; ninguna noticia de ellos en el pasado había llegado a tus oídos; porque vi lo falso que era tu comportamiento y que tu corazón se volvió contra mí desde los primeros días.

Yet thou heardest them not, neither diddest know them, neither yet was thine eare opened of olde: for I knewe that thou wouldest grieuously transgresse: therefore haue I called thee a transgressour from the wombe.

9 Por mi nombre guardaré mi ira, y por mi alabanza me guardaré de destruirlos.

For my Names sake will I defer my wrath, and for my praise will I refraine it from thee, that I cut thee not off.

10 Mira, te he estado probando como a mí mismo, no como a la plata; Te he hecho pasar por el fuego de la angustia.

Behold, I haue fined thee, but not as siluer: I haue chosen thee in the fornace of affliction.

11 Por mí mismo, por mi nombre, lo haré; porque no dejaré que mi nombre sea avergonzado; Y mi gloria no la daré a otro.

For mine owne sake, for mine owne sake wil I doe it: for how should my Name be polluted? surely I wil not giue my glory vnto another.

12 Escúchame, Jacob, e Israel, mi amado; Yo soy el, soy el primero y el último.

Heare me, O Iaakob and Israel, my called, I am, I am the first, and I am the last.

13 Sí, por mi mano estaba la tierra puesta sobre su base, y por mi mano derecha se extendían los cielos; en mi palabra ellos toman sus lugares.

Surely mine hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heaues: when I cal them, they stand vp together.

14 Vengan todos, y escuchen; ¿Quién de ustedes ha dado noticias de estas cosas? El amado del Señor hará su placer con Babilonia y con la simiente de los caldeos.

All you, assemble your selues, and heare: which among them hath declared these thinges? The Lord hath loued him: he wil doe his will in Babel, and his arme shalbe against the Chaldeans.

15 Yo, incluso yo, he dado la palabra; He enviado por él; lo he hecho venir, y donde vaya prosperará.

I, euen I haue spoken it, and I haue called him: I haue brought him, and his way shall prosper.

16 Acérquense a mí, y escuchen esto; Desde el principio no he hablado en secreto; Desde el momento de su existencia, estuve allí, y ahora el Señor Dios me ha enviado y su espíritu.

Come neere vnto me: heare ye this: I haue not spoken it in secret from the beginning: from the time that the thing was, I was there, and now the Lord God and his Spirit hath sent me.

17 El Señor tu redentor, el Santo de Israel, dice: Yo soy el Señor, tu Dios, que te está enseñando para tu beneficio, guiándote por el camino por el que debes ir.

Thus saith the Lord thy redeemer, the Holy one of Israel, I am the Lord thy God, which teach thee to profite, and lead thee by the way, that thou shouldest goe.

18 Si tan solo hubieras escuchado mis órdenes, entonces tu paz habría sido como un río, y tu justicia como las olas Del Mar.

Oh that thou haddest hearkened to my commandements! then had thy prosperitie bene as the floude, and thy righteousnesse as the waues of the sea.

19 Tu semilla habría sido como la arena, y tu descendencia como sus granos; tu nombre no sería destruido ni se borraría ante mí presencia.

Thy seede also had beene as the sande, and the fruite of thy body like the grauell thereof: his name should not haue bene cut off nor destroied before me.

20 Salgan de Babilonia, huyan de los caldeos; con cantos de alegría, den la noticia, que la palabra salga hasta el fin de la tierra; digan: El Señor ha libertado a su siervo Jacob.

Goe yee out of Babel: flee yee from the Chaldeans, with a voice of ioy: tel and declare this: shewe it foorth to the ende of the earth: say yee, The Lord hath redeemed his seruant Iaakob.

21 No tenían necesidad de agua cuando los guiaba a través del desierto; hizo que el agua saliera de la roca para ellos; la roca se separó y las aguas salieron.

And they were not thirstie: hee led them through the wildernesse: hee caused the waters to flowe out of the rocke for them: for he claue the rocke, and the water gushed out.

22 No hay paz, dice el Señor, para los que hacen el mal.

There is no peace, sayeth the Lord, vnto the wicked.
