Isaías 46
1 Bel se inclina, Nebo se cae; sus imágenes son puestas sobre las bestias y sobre animales de carga; las cosas que tomaste se han convertido en un peso para la bestia cansada.
Bel sinketh down; Nebo falleth; Their images are laid upon beasts and cattle; Those that ye once bore are packed upon them; A burden to the weary beast!
2 Están doblados, caen juntos; no pudieron mantener a salvo sus imágenes, pero ellos mismos han sido tomados prisioneros.
They sink down; they fall together; They cannot rescue the burden; They themselves go into captivity.
3 Escúchame, oh familia de Jacob, y al resto del pueblo de Israel, que han sido llevados por mi desde desde su nacimiento y cuidado desde la matriz.
Hearken to me, O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of the house of Israel; Ye that have been borne by me from your birth, That have been carried by me from your earliest breath!
4 Incluso cuando seas viejo seré el mismo, y cuando seas canoso te cuidaré; seré responsable de lo que hice; Sí, te llevaré y te mantendré a salvo.
Even to your old age I am the same; Even to hoar hairs I will carry you; I have done it, and I will still bear you; I will carry, and will deliver you.
5 ¿Quién en tus ojos es mi igual? ¿O qué comparación harán conmigo?
To whom will ye liken me, and compare me? Yea, to whom will ye compare me, that we may be like?
6 En cuanto a los que sacan el oro de una bolsa y ponen plata en la balanza, dan un pago a un artesano del oro, para convertirlo en un dios; Ellos se bajan sobre sus rostros y le dan adoración.
They lavish gold out of the bag, And weigh silver in the balance; They hire a goldsmith, and he maketh it a god; They fall down, yea, they worship it.
7 Lo pusieron sobre sus espaldas, lo levantaron y lo pusieron en su lugar fijo, desde donde no puede ser movido; Si un hombre le grita pidiéndole ayuda, no puede dar una respuesta o sacarlo de su apuro.
They lift him upon the shoulder, and carry him; They set him in his place, and there he standeth; From his place he moveth not; Yea, one may cry to him, yet doth he not answer, Nor save him out of his distress.
8 Tengan esto en mente y tengan vergüenza; Que vuelva a tu memoria, pecadores.
Remember these things, and show yourselves men; Lay them to heart, ye apostates!
9 Recuerden las cosas pasadas; porque yo soy Dios, y no hay otro; Yo soy Dios, y no hay nadie como yo;
Remember the former things in ancient times! For I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.
10 Anunciando desde el principio lo que vendrá, y de los tiempos pasados; las cosas que no han sucedido hasta ahora; diciendo: Mis planes son fijos, y haré mi voluntad.
Declaring the end from the beginning; From ancient times the things that were not yet done; Saying, My purpose shall stand, And I will do all my pleasure;
11 Enviando a un pájaro de fuerte vuelo desde el este, el hombre de mi propósito desde un país lejano; Lo he dicho, y le daré efecto; lo planeado por mí ciertamente se hará.
Calling from the East the eagle, The man that executeth my purpose from a far country; I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
12 Escúchame, duros de corazón, que no tienes fe en mi justicia.
Hearken to me, ye stubborn-hearted, That are far from deliverance!
13 Mi justicia está cerca, no está lejos; la salvación vendrá rápidamente; y haré libre a Sión, y daré a Israel mi gloria.
I have brought near my deliverance; it is not far off; My salvation shall not tarry; I will give to Zion salvation, To Israel, my glory.
