Isaías 43

1 Pero ahora, dice el Señor tu Creador, Jacob, y tú dador de vida, Israel: no temas, porque te he redimido; Te nombro por tu nombre, te he hecho mío.

But now thus hath said the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not; for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; mine art thou.

2 Cuando pases por las aguas, yo estaré contigo; y por los ríos, no te ahogarán; cuando pases por el fuego, no te quemarás; y la llama no arderá en ti.

Whenever thou passest through the waters, I am with thee; and through the rivers, —they shall not overflow thee: whenever thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be scorched; neither shall the flame burn on thee.

3 Porque yo soy el Señor tu Dios, el Santo de Israel, tu salvador; He dado a Egipto como un precio de rescate por ti, Etiopía y Saba por ti.

For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour; I have given Egypt for thy ransom, Cush and Seba in place of thee.

4 Por tu valor ante mis ojos, has sido honrado y amado por mí; Así daré hombres por ti, y pueblos por tu vida.

Since thou art precious in my eyes, art honorable, and I indeed do love thee: therefore will I give men in place of thee, and nations instead of thy soul.

5 No temas, porque yo estoy contigo: tomaré tu simiente del este y te reuniré del oeste;

Fear not, for I am with thee; from the east will I bring thy seed, and from the west will I gather thee.

6 Diré al norte: Renuncia a ellos; y al sur, no los guardes; devuelve a mis hijos de lejos, y mis hijas desde el fin de la tierra;

I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Withhold not: bring my sons from afar, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

7 Cada uno que se nombra por mi nombre, y que he hecho para mi gloria, que ha sido formado y diseñado por mí.

Every one that is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory; whom I have formed; yea, whom I have made.

8 Envía a mi pueblo, los ciegos que tienen ojos, y los que tienen oídos, pero están sordos.

Bring forward the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.

9 Que todas las naciones se unan, y que los pueblos estén presentes: ¿quién de ellos puede aclarar esto y darnos noticias de cosas anteriores? dejen que sus testigos se presenten, para que se los vea como verdaderos, y para que oigan y digan: Es verdad.

Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can announce this? and cause us to hear former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.

10 Ustedes son mis testigos, dice el Señor, y mi siervo, a quien he tomado por mí mismo; para que puedan ver y tener fe en mí, y para que les quede claro que yo soy él; antes de mí no se formó otro Dios, y no habrá otro después de mí.

Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: in order that ye may know and believe me, and understand, that I am he; before me there was no god formed, and after me there will be none.

11 Yo, yo soy el Señor; y no hay salvador sino yo.

I, I am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.

12 Di la palabra, y la dejé en claro, y no hubo ningún dios extraño entre ustedes: por esta razón ustedes son mis testigos, dice el Señor.

I myself have announced it, and I have saved, and I have let it be heard, and there was no strange [god] among you; and ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and I am God.

13 Desde hace mucho tiempo soy Dios, y desde este día soy él: no hay nadie que pueda sacarte de mi mano; cuando me comprometo, ¿por quién cambiare mi propósito?

Yea, from the [first] day am I he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: if I will work, is there one that can hinder it?

14 El Señor, que los ha redimido, el Santo de Israel, dice: Por tu causa he enviado a Babilonia, e hice que todos sus videntes vinieran al sur, y clamor de caldeos en las naves.

Thus hath said the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, For your sake did I send to Babylon, and in swift vessels brought I them all down, and the Chaldeans, in the ships of their joyful song.

15 Yo soy el Señor, tu Santo, el Hacedor de Israel, tu Rey.

I am the Lord, the Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.

16 Esta es la palabra del Señor, que hace un camino en el mar, y un camino a través de las aguas profundas;

Thus hath said the Lord, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;

17 Que envía los carros de guerra y los caballos, el ejército con toda su fuerza; han bajado, no volverán a levantarse; Como una luz que arde débilmente, se apagan.

Who bringeth forth chariot and horse, army and power: together shall they lie down, they shall not rise up again; they are extinct, like a wick are they quenched.

18 No pienses en las cosas que han pasado; ni consideres él ayer.

Remember not the former things, and ancient events regard no more.

19 Mira, estoy haciendo algo nuevo; ahora está empezando ¿No lo tomarás en cuenta? Incluso abriré camino en los terrenos baldíos y los ríos en la tierra seca.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; will ye not acknowledge it? I will even make in the wilderness a way, and in the desert rivers.

20 Las bestias del campo me darán honor, los chacales y los avestruces; porque envío aguas a las tierras baldías y ríos en el desierto, para dar de beber a las personas que he tomado para mí.

The beasts of the field shall honor me, the monsters and the ostriches; because I give waters in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my elect;

21 Las personas que he creado para mi, contará mis alabanzas.

This people which I have formed for myself; my praise shall they relate.

22 Pero tú no me has hecho ninguna oración, oh Jacob; y no me has invocado, oh Israel.

But on me hast thou not called, O Jacob; for thou art become weary of me, O Israel.

23 No me has hecho quemar ofrendas de ovejas, ni me has dado honor con tus ofrendas de bestias; No te hice servir para darme una ofrenda, y no te canse pidiéndote incienso.

Thou hast not brought unto me the lamb of thy burnt-offerings; and with thy sacrifices hast thou not honored me: I have not troubled thee with meat-offerings, nor wearied thee with frankincense.

24 No me has conseguido con tu dinero plantas de olor dulce, ni me has dado placer con la grasa de tus ofrendas; pero al contrario me cansaste de tus pecados, y me has cansado de tus males.

Thou hast not bought for me sweet cane, and with the fat of thy sacrifices hast thou not satisfied me; but thou hast troubled me with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thy iniquities.

25 Yo, yo soy el que quita tus pecados; y ya no tendré en cuenta tus malas acciones.

I, it is I that blot out thy transgressions for my own sake, and thy sins I will not remember.

26 Hazme recordar; Permítanos abordar la causa entre nosotros: expon tu caso, para que pueda verse quién está en lo correcto.

Put me in remembrance; let us plead together: relate thou, in order that thou mayest be justified.

27 Tu primer padre fue un pecador, y tus guías han ido en contra de mi palabra.

Thy first father did sin, and they that plead for thee transgressed against me.

28 Los jefes del santuario lo han hecho inmundo, así que he hecho de Jacob una maldición, e Israel una vergüenza.

Therefore do I profane the holy princes, and I give up Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.
