Isaías 41
1 Vengan tranquilamente delante de mí, oh tierras de mar, y que los pueblos reúnan sus fuerzas; que se acerquen; luego digan lo que tienen que decir; discutamos nuestra causa unos contra otros.
Iles, be stille to me, and folkis chaunge strengthe; neiye thei, and thanne speke thei; neiye we togidere to doom.
2 ¿Quién despertó del oriente al justo, quién él llama en justicia a sus pies? Ante Él entrega naciones en sus manos, y lo hace gobernar sobre los reyes; Él los da como polvo a su espada, como tallos secos los dispersa con su arco.
Who reiside the iust man fro the eest, and clepide hym to sue hym silf? He schal yyue folkis in his siyt, and he schal welde kyngis; he schal yyue as dust to his swerd, and as stobil `that is rauyschid of the wynd, to his bowe.
3 Él va tras ellos con seguridad, sin tocar el camino con sus pies.
He schal pursue hem, he schal go in pees; a path schal not appere in hise feet.
4 ¿De quién era el propósito y el trabajo? El que envió a las generaciones desde el principio. Yo el Señor, el primero, y el último, soy El.
Who wrouyte and dide these thingis? clepynge generaciouns at the bigynnyng. Y am the Lord; and Y am the firste and the laste.
5 Las costas lo vieron, y tuvieron miedo; los extremos de la tierra temblaban; se han acercado, y han venido.
Ilis sien, and dredden; the laste partis of erthe were astonyed; thei camen niy, and neiyiden.
6 Ayudaron todos a su prójimo; y todos dijeron a su hermano: ¡Anímate!
Ech man schal helpe his neiybore, and schal seie to his brother, Be thou coumfortid.
7 Entonces el carpintero animó al fundidor, y el que estaba martillando el metal le dijo palabras amables al que bate el yunque; buena soldadura “Está lista y asegura su obra con clavos”, para que no se mueva.
A smyth of metal smytynge with an hamer coumfortide him that polischyde, ethir made fair, in that tyme, seiynge, It is good, to glu; and he fastenede hym with nailis, that he schulde not be mouyd.
8 Mas tú, Israel, mi siervo, y tú, Jacob, a quien he tomado para mí, la simiente de Abraham, mi amigo:
And thou, Israel, my seruaunte, Jacob, whom Y chees, the seed of Abraham, my frend, in whom Y took thee;
9 Tú, a quien he tomado de los confines de la tierra, y he enviado desde sus lugares más remotos, diciéndote: Tú eres mi siervo, a quien he tomado por mí mismo, y al que no he abandonado.
fro the laste partis of erthe, and fro the fer partis therof Y clepide thee; and Y seide to thee, Thou art my seruaunt; Y chees thee, and castide not awei thee.
10 No temas, porque yo estoy contigo; no te preocupes, porque yo soy tu Dios; Te daré fuerza, si, seré tu ayudante; Sí, mi verdadera mano derecha será tu apoyo.
Drede thou not, for Y am with thee; boowe thou not awei, for Y am thi God. Y coumfortide thee, and helpide thee; and the riythond of my iust man vp took thee.
11 En verdad, todos los que están enojados contigo serán humillados y avergonzados; aquellos que deseen hacerte mal se quedarán en la nada y perecerán.
Lo! alle men schulen be schent, and schulen be aschamed, that fiyten ayens thee; thei schulen be as if thei ben not, and men schulen perische, that ayen seien thee.
12 Buscarás a tus enemigos, pero ellos no estarán allí; los que hacen guerra contra ti serán como nada y serán destruidos.
Thou schalt seke hem, and thou schalt not fynde thi rebel men; thei schulen be, as if thei ben not, and as the wastyng of a man fiytynge ayens thee.
13 Porque yo, el Señor tu Dios, tomo tu diestra con la mía, y te digo: No temas. Yo seré tu ayudante.
For Y am thi Lord God, takynge thin hond, and seiynge to thee, Drede thou not, Y helpide thee.
14 No temas, gusano de Jacob, y hombres de Israel; Yo seré tu ayudante, dice el Señor, tu redentor, el Santo de Israel.
Nyle thou, worm of Jacob, drede, ye that ben deed of Israel. Y helpide thee, seith the Lord, and thin ayen biere, the hooli of Israel.
15 Mira, te haré como un nuevo instrumento de trituración de grano con dientes, aplastando las montañas pequeñas y haciendo que las colinas se conviertan en tallos secos.
Y haue set thee as a newe wayn threischynge, hauynge sawynge bilis; thou schalt threische mounteyns, and schalt make smal, and thou schalt sette litle hillis as dust.
16 Los esparciré, y el viento se los llevará; irán en todas direcciones ante él viento huracanado; pero tu tendrás gozo en el Señor y te alegrarás en el Santo de Israel.
Thou schalt wyndewe hem, and the wynd schal take hem awei, and a whirlewynd schal scatere hem; and thou schalt make ful out ioie in the Lord, and thou schalt be glad in the hooli of Israel.
17 Los pobres y oprimidos están buscando agua donde no hay agua, y su lengua está reseca de sed. Yo el Señor escuchará su oración, el Dios de Israel no los abandonará.
Nedi men and pore seken watris, and tho ben not; the tunge of hem driede for thirst. Y the Lord schal here hem, I God of Israel schal not forsake hem.
18 Haré ríos en las cimas secas de las montañas y fuentes en los valles. Haré de la tierra estéril, pantanos, y la tierra seca manantiales de agua.
Y schal opene floodis in hiy hillis, and wellis in the myddis of feeldis; Y schal sette the desert in to poondis of watris, and the lond without weie in to ryuers of watris.
19 Pondré en la tierra baldía el cedro, la acacia, el mirto y el olivo; y en las tierras bajas se plantarán el abeto, y el ciprés juntos.
Y schal yyue in wildirnesse a cedre, and a thorn, and a myrte tre, and the tre of an olyue; Y schal sette in the desert a fir tre, an elm, and a box tre togidere.
20 Para que vean, sean sabios y se decidan, y para que quede claro para ellos que la mano del Señor ha hecho esto, y que el Santo de Israel lo ha hecho.
That thei se, and knowe, and bithenke, and vndurstonde togidere; that the hond of the Lord dide this thing, and the hooli of Israel made that of nouyt.
21 Presenta tu causa, dice el Señor; Deja que salga tu fuerte argumento, dice el rey de Jacob.
Make ye niy youre doom, seith the Lord; brynge ye, if in hap ye han ony thing, seith the kyng of Jacob.
22 Dejemos claro el futuro; danos noticias de las cosas pasadas, para que podamos reflexionar sobre ellas; o de las cosas por venir, para que podamos ver si son verdaderas.
Neiy tho, and telle to vs, what euer thingis schulen come; telle ye the formere thingis that weren, and we schulen sette oure herte, and schulen wite; schewe ye to vs the laste thingis of hem, and tho thingis that schulen come.
23 Danos una palabra de lo que sucederá después de esto, para que podamos estar seguros de que son dioses; sí, haz el bien o el mal, para que todos podamos verlo y sorprendernos.
Telle ye what thingis schulen come in tyme to comynge, and we schulen wite, that ye ben goddis; al so do ye wel, ethir yuele, if ye moun; and speke we, and see we togidere.
24 Pero tú no eres nada, y tu trabajo no tiene ningún valor; necio es el que los escoge por su dios.
Lo! ye ben of nouyt, and youre werk is of that that is not; he that chees you, is abhomynacioun.
25 He enviado a uno desde el norte, y desde el alba ha venido; en mi nombre, él reunirá a los gobernantes y irá contra ellos; serán como el polvo, incluso cuando la tierra húmeda sea estampada por los pies del alfarero.
I reiside fro the north, and he schal come fro the risyng of the sunne; he schal clepe my name. And he schal brynge magistratis as cley, and as a pottere defoulynge erthe.
26 ¿Quién lo ha sabido desde el principio, para que podamos estar seguros de ello? y desde el principio, para que podamos decir, ¿Su palabra es verdadera? No hay nadie que dé noticias, diga nada, o que escuche sus palabras.
Who tolde fro the bigynnyng, that we wite, and fro the bigynnyng, that we seie, Thou art iust? noon is tellynge, nether biforseiynge, nether herynge youre wordis.
27 Fui el primero en comunicárselo a Sión, y le di las buenas nuevas a Jerusalén.
The firste schal seie to Sion, Lo! Y am present; and Y schal yyue a gospellere to Jerusalem.
28 Y vi que no había ningún hombre, ni siquiera un hombre sabio entre ellos, que pudiera responder a mis preguntas.
And Y siy, and noon was of these, that token councel, and he that was axid, answeride a word.
29 En verdad, no son nada, sus obras no son nada y carecen de valor; sus imágenes fundidas no son más que viento y vanidad.
Lo! alle men ben vniust, and her werkis ben wynd and veyn; the symylacris of hem ben wynd, and voide thing.
