Isaías 39

1 En ese momento, Merodac-baladán, hijo de Baladán, rey de Babilonia, envió cartas con una ofrenda a Ezequías, porque tenía noticias de que Ezequías había estado enfermo y estaba bien de nuevo.

At that time, Merodach-Baladan, son of Baladan, king of Babylon, has sent letters and a present to Hezekiah when he hears that he has been sick and has become strong.

2 Y se alegró Ezequías de su venida, y les permitió ver toda su reserva de riquezas, la plata y el oro y las especias y el aceite, y toda la casa de sus armas, y todo lo que había en sus tiendas; no había nada en toda su casa o su reino que él no les mostrara.

And Hezekiah rejoices over them, and shows them the house of his spices, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the good ointment, and all the house of his vessels, and all that has been found in his treasures; there has not been a thing in his house, and in all his dominion, that Hezekiah has not showed them.

3 Entonces el profeta Isaías vino al rey Ezequías y le dijo: ¿Qué dijeron estos hombres y de dónde vinieron? Y Ezequías dijo: Vinieron de un país lejano, incluso de Babilonia.

And Isaiah the prophet comes to King Hezekiah and says to him, “What did these men say? And from where do they come to you?” And Hezekiah says, “They have come to me from a far-off land—from Babylon.”

4 Y él dijo: ¿Qué han visto en tu casa? Y Ezequías respondió: “Ellos vieron todo en mi casa; no hay nada entre mis tiendas que no les deje ver”.

And he says, “What did they see in your house?” And Hezekiah says, “They saw all that [is] in my house; there has not been a thing that I have not showed them among my treasures.”

5 Entonces Isaías dijo a Ezequías: Escucha la palabra del Señor de los ejércitos:

And Isaiah says to Hezekiah, “Hear a word of YHWH of Hosts:

6 En verdad, vendrán días cuando todo lo que hay en tu casa, y lo que tus padres hayan guardado hasta el día de hoy, se lo llevarán a Babilonia; no quedará aquí nada.

Behold, days are coming, and all that [is] in your house, and that your fathers have treasured up until this day, has been carried to Babylon; there is not a thing left, said YHWH;

7 Y a tus hijos, tu descendencia, se los llevarán a ser siervos los castraran en la casa del rey de Babilonia.

and of your sons who come forth from you, whom you beget, they take, and they have been eunuchs in a palace of the king of Babylon.”

8 Entonces Ezequías dijo a Isaías: La palabra del Señor que has dicho es buena. Y dijo en su corazón: Habrá paz y tranquilidad en mis días.

And Hezekiah says to Isaiah, “The word of YHWH that you have spoken [is] good”; and he says, “Because there is peace and truth in my days.”
