Isaías 33

1 ¡Ay! de ti que destruyes y no has sido destruido; traicionado a los que no te traicionaron. Cuando hayas acabado de destruir, serás destruido, y después de tus traiciones, ellos harán lo mismo contigo.

Woe to thee that spoylest, and wast not spoyled: and doest wickedly, and they did not wickedly against thee: when thou shalt cease to spoyle, thou shalt be spoyled: when thou shalt make an ende of doing wickedly, they shall doe wickedly against thee.

2 Señor, ten piedad de nosotros; porque hemos estado esperando tu ayuda; sé nuestra fuerza cada mañana, nuestra salvación en el tiempo de angustia.

O Lord, haue mercie vpon vs, wee haue waited for thee: be thou, which waste their arme in the morning, our helpe also in time of trouble.

3 Ante el fuerte ruido de tu voz, los pueblos han huido; al levantarte tú, las naciones han ido en todas direcciones.

At the noise of the tumult, the people fled: at thine exalting the nations were scattered.

4 Y los bienes tomados en la guerra se juntarán como recoge la oruga; los hombres correrán sobre ellos como la ráfaga de saltamontes.

And your spoyle shall be gathered like the gathering of caterpillers: and he shall go against him like the leaping of grashoppers.

5 El Señor es levantado; su lugar está en lo alto; y llena de justicia y juicio a Sion.

The Lord is exalted: for hee dwelleth on hie: he hath filled Zion with iudgement and iustice.

6 Y ya no tendrá más miedo al cambio, estará llena de salvación, sabiduría y conocimiento, el temor del Señor es su riqueza.

And there shall be stabilitie of thy times, strength, saluation, wisdome and knowledge: for the feare of the Lord shalbe his treasure.

7 Mira, los hombres de guerra están tristes fuera de la ciudad, los mensajeros de paz lloran amargamente.

Behold, their messengers shall cry without, and ye ambassadours of peace shall weepe bitterly.

8 Las carreteras son un derroche, ningún hombre está viajando allí; el acuerdo se rompe, ha desdeñado las ciudades, no piensa en el hombre.

The pathes are waste: the wayfaring man ceaseth: hee hath broken the couenant: hee hath contemned the cities: he regarded no man.

9 La tierra está triste y desgastada; El Líbano es avergonzado y se marchita; Sarón es como un desierto; y en Basán y Carmel caen las hojas.

The earth mourneth and fainteth: Lebanon is ashamed, and hewen downe: Sharon is like a wildernes, and Bashan is shaken and Carmel.

10 Ahora me levantaré, dice el Señor; ahora seré exaltado; ahora seré ensalzado.

Now will I arise, saith the Lord: now will I be exalted, now will I lift vp my selfe.

11 Concebiste paja, y darás a luz rastrojo; serás quemado por el fuego de mi aliento.

Ye shall conceiue chaffe, and bring forth stubble: the fire of your breath shall deuoure you.

12 Y los pueblos serán como la quema de cal, como espinos cortados, que se queman en el fuego.

And the people shall be as the burning of lime: and as the thornes cut vp, shall they be burnt in the fire.

13 Escucha, tú que estás lejos, a lo que he hecho, reconozcan mi poder, tú que estás cerca.

Heare, yee that are farre off, what I haue done, and ye that are neere, know my power.

14 Los pecadores en Sión están llenos de temor; los que odian a Dios tiemblan de asombro. ¿Quién de nosotros puede mantener su lugar ante el fuego ardiente? ¿Quién de nosotros habitará en las llamas eternas?

The sinners in Zion are afraide: a feare is come vpon the hypocrites: who among vs shall dwel with the deuouring fire? who among vs shall dwell with the euerlasting burnings?

15 El, cuyos caminos son verdaderos, y cuyas palabras son rectas; el que desdeña los beneficios del lucro, cuyas manos sacude para no recibir soborno, él que no participa en la muerte de los hombres y cuyos ojos están cerrados contra el mal;

Hee that walketh in iustice, and speaketh righteous things, refusing gaine of oppression, shaking his handes from taking of gifts, stopping his eares from hearing of blood, and shutting his eyes from seeing euill.

16 Tendrá un lugar en lo alto; será su fortaleza, su lugar de refugio las rocas altas, se le dará su pan; sus aguas serán seguras.

He shall dwell on hie: his defence shall be the munitions of rockes: bread shalbe giuen him, and his waters shalbe sure.

17 Tus ojos verán al rey en su gloria y estarán mirando una tierra lejana.

Thine eyes shall see the King in his glory: they shall beholde the lande farre off.

18 Tu corazón pensará en la causa de tu temor: ¿dónde está el escriba, dónde está el que hizo un registro de los pagos, dónde está él que contó las torres?

Thine heart shall meditate feare, Where is the scribe? where is the receiuer? where is hee that counted the towres?

19 Nunca más verás a las personas crueles, personas cuya lengua no tiene sentido para ti; cuyo lenguaje te es extraño.

Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a darke speache, that thou canst not perceiue, and of a stammering tongue that thou canst not vnderstande.

20 Deja que tus ojos descansen sobre Sión, el pueblo de nuestras fiestas santas; verás Jerusalén, un lugar de descanso tranquilo, una tienda de campaña que no se moverá, cuyas estacas de tienda nunca serán levantadas, y cuyos cordones nunca serán rotos.

Looke vpon Zion the citie of our solemne feastes: thine eyes shall see Ierusalem a quiet habitation, a Tabernacle that can not be remooued: and the stakes thereof can neuer be taken away, neither shall any of the cordes thereof be broken.

21 Pero allí estará el Majestuoso, Él Señor con nosotros en su gloria, y será para nosotros lugar de guerra ríos y arroyos anchos; donde ningún barco irá con remos, y ningún barco potente pasará por él.

For surely there the mightie Lord will be vnto vs, as a place of floods and broade riuers, whereby shall passe no shippe with oares, neither shall great shippe passe thereby.

22 Porque el Señor es nuestro juez, el Señor es nuestro legislador, el Señor es nuestro rey; Él será nuestro salvador.

For the Lord is our Iudge, the Lord is our lawe giuer: the Lord is our King, he will saue vs.

23 Tus cuerdas se han aflojado; no pudieron hacer más fuerte él mástil, la vela no se estiró; entonces los ciegos tomarán mucha propiedad, los cojos harán la división de la abundancia del botín.

Thy cordes are loosed: they could not well strengthen their maste, neither coulde they spread the saile: then shall the praye be deuided for a great spoile: yea, the lame shall take away the pray.

24 Y los hombres de Sion no dirán: Estoy enfermo; porque su pueblo tendrá perdón por su pecado.

And none inhabitant shall say, I am sicke: the people that dwell therein, shall haue their iniquitie forgiuen.
