Isaías 19

1 La palabra acerca de Egipto. Mira, el Señor está sentado en una nube que se mueve rápidamente y viene a Egipto, y los falsos dioses de Egipto se estremecen con su venida, y el corazón de Egipto se derrite dentro de ellos.

The oracle on Egypt: Lo! Yahweh, riding upon a swift cloud, and he will enter Egypt, And the idols of Egypt shall shake at his presence, And, the heart of Egypt, shall melt within him;

2 Y enviaré a los egipcios contra los egipcios; y pelearán cada uno contra su hermano, y cada uno contra su prójimo; pueblo contra pueblo, y reino contra reino.

And I will stir up Egyptians against Egyptians, And they shall fight—Every one against his brother and Every one against his neighbour, —City against city, and Kingdom against kingdom.

3 Y el espíritu de Egipto será desanimado en el, y confundiré sus planes; y se volverán a los dioses falsos, a los brujos, a los que tienen control de los espíritus de los muertos, a los adivinos.

And the spirit of Egypt, shall vanish, within them, Yea the sagacity thereof, will I swallow up, —And they will seek Unto the idols and Unto them that mutter, and Unto them that have familiar spirits, and Unto the wizards;

4 Y entregaré a los egipcios en manos de un amo cruel; y un rey duro será su gobernante, dice el Señor, el Señor de los ejércitos.

And I will deliver the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel lord, —And a fierce king shall rule over them, Declareth the Lord, Yahweh of hosts.

5 Y las aguas del mar serán cortadas, y el río se secará y se desechará.

And the waters shall be dried up from the great stream, —And the River, shall waste and be dry;

6 Y los ríos tendrán mal olor. La corriente de Egipto se volverá pequeña y seca: todas las plantas acuáticas quedarán en nada.

And rivers, shall stink, The canals of Egypt be shallow and waste, Reed and rush, be withered;

7 Las tierras de pastoreo junto al Nilo, y todo lo plantado por el Nilo, se secarán, o se quitarán por el viento, y terminarán.

The meadows by the Nile, by the mouth of the Nile. And all that is sown in the Nile, Shall be dry, driven away, and not be!

8 Los pescadores estarán tristes, y todos los que ponen líneas de pesca en el Nilo estarán llenos de pena, y aquellos cuyas redes se extienden sobre las aguas tendrán dolor en sus corazones.

Then shall the fishers, lament, And all shall mourn who cast in the Nile a hook, —And they who spread nets on the face of the waters shall languish;

9 Y serán decepcionados todos los trabajadores de hilo de lino, y los que hacen tela de algodón.

Then shall turn pale The workers in combed flax, —and The weavers of white linen;

10 Y los que hacen redes serán rotas, y los que hacen viveros para peces serán entristecidos.

Then shall her pillars be crushed, —All who make wages, be bowed down in soul.

11 Los jefes de Zoan son completamente necios; los guías más sabios de Faraón se han convertido en bestias: ¿cómo le dices a Faraón que soy hijo de los sabios, descendencia de los primeros reyes?

Surely, foolish, are the princes of Zoan, the wisest counsellors of Pharaoh, in counsel are brutish, —How can ye say unto Pharaoh, Son of the wise, am I Son of the kings of olden time?

12 ¿Dónde están tus sabios? Deja que te lo expliquen, que te den conocimiento del propósito del Señor de los ejércitos para Egipto.

Where then are thy wise men? Pray let them tell thee! And let them know what Yahweh of hosts hath purposed on Egypt!

13 Los jefes de Zoán se han vuelto insensatos, los jefes de Menfis, son engañados, los jefes de sus tribus son la causa de que Egipto se haya alejado del camino.

Doting are the princes of Zoan, Deceived are the princes of Noph: They who are the corner-stone of her tribes, have led Egypt astray.

14 El Señor ha enviado entre ellos un espíritu de error: y para ellos, Egipto se desvía de la manera correcta en todas sus acciones, ya que un hombre vencido por el vino es incierto en sus pasos.

Yahweh, hath infused in her midst, a spirit of perverseness, —And they have led Egypt astray into all his own doings, As a drunken man staggereth into his own vomit;

15 Y en Egipto no habrá trabajo para ningún hombre, cabeza o cola, alto o bajo, para hacer.

And Egypt shall have nothing which can be done, Which head or tail, palm-top or rush, can do!

16 En ese día, los egipcios serán como mujeres: y la tierra se estremecerá de temor por la agitación de la mano del Señor extendida sobre ella.

In that day, shall Egypt be like unto women, —And shall start and tremble because of the brandishing of the hand of Yahweh of hosts, which he is about to brandish over it.

17 Y la tierra de Judá será causa de gran temor para Egipto; siempre que su nombre venga a la mente, Egipto tendrá miedo ante el Señor de los ejércitos debido a su propósito contra él.

Then shall the soil of Judah become, to Egypt, a terror; Every one to whom it is mentioned, will tremble, —Because of the purpose of Yahweh of hosts, which he is purposing against it.

18 En ese día habrá cinco pueblos en la tierra de Egipto usando el lenguaje de Canaán y haciendo juramentos al Señor de los ejércitos; y uno de ellos se llamará, La Ciudad de destrucción.

In that day, shall there be five cities in the land of Egypt Speaking the language of Canaan, And swearing unto Yahweh of hosts, —The city of destruction, shall be the name of one!

19 En aquel día habrá un altar para el Señor en medio de la tierra de Egipto, y una columna para el Señor al borde de la tierra.

In that day, shall there be An altar unto Yahweh, in the midst of the land of Egypt, —And a pillar near the boundary thereof unto Yahweh;

20 Y será una señal y un testimonio para el Señor de los ejércitos en la tierra de Egipto: cuando clamen al Señor contra quien los oprimen, él les enviará un salvador para que los defienda y salve.

And it shall become a sign and a witness unto Yahweh of hosts in the land of Egypt, —For they will make outcry unto Yahweh, because of oppressors, That he would send them a saviour—and a great one Then will he deliver them.

21 Y el Señor se dará a conocer a Egipto, y los egipcios le darán honor al Señor en ese día; Le rendirán culto con ofrendas y ofrendas de comida, y jurarán al Señor y le darán efecto.

Then will, Yahweh, make himself known, to the Egyptians, So shall the Egyptians know, Yahweh, in that day, —And they will offer a sacrifice and a present And will vow a vow unto Yahweh and will perform.

22 Y el Señor enviará castigo a Egipto, y los herirá; y cuando regresen al Señor, él escuchará su oración y les quitará la enfermedad.

And Yahweh, will plague Egypt, plague and heal, —And they will turn unto Yahweh And he will be entreated of them and will heal them.

23 En ese día habrá una carretera de Egipto a Asiria, y Asiria vendrá a Egipto, y Egipto entrará a Asiria; y los egipcios adorarán al Señor junto con los asirios.

In that day, shall there be a highway. from Egypt to Assyria, And, the Assyrians, shall come into Egypt, And, the Egyptians, into Assyria; And, the Egyptians shall serve, with the Assyrians.

24 En ese día, Israel será, junto, con Egipto y Asiria una bendición en medio de la tierra.

In that day, shall, Israel, be, a third, with Egypt and with Assyria, —A blessing in the midst of the earth:

25 Por la bendición del Señor de los ejércitos que les ha dado, diciendo: Una bendición para Egipto, mi pueblo, y para Asiria, la obra de mis manos, y para Israel, mi herencia.

Whom Yahweh of hosts hath blessed saying, —Blessed, be My people—the Egyptians, And the work of my hands—the Assyrians, And mine own inheritance—Israel.
