Oseas 12
1 La comida de Efraín es el viento, y él va tras el viento del este: el engaño y la destrucción aumentan día a día; llegan a un acuerdo con Asiria y llevan el aceite a Egipto.
But Ephraim is an evil spirit, he has chased the east wind all the day: he has multiplied empty and vain things, and made a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil has gone in the way of traffic into Egypt.
2 El Señor tiene una causa contra Judá, y castigará a Jacob por sus caminos; él le dará la recompensa de sus actos.
And the Lord [has] a controversy with Juda, in order to punish Jacob: according to his ways and according to his practices will he recompense him.
3 En el cuerpo de su madre tomó a su hermano por el pie, y en su fuerza estaba luchando con él Dios Supremo;
He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and in his labors he had power with God.
4 Tuvo una pelea con el ángel y lo venció; le hizo un pedido de gracia con llanto; se encontró cara a cara con él en Betel y allí habló con el;
And he prevailed with the angel and was strong: they wept, and entreated me: they found me in the house of On, and there [a word] was spoken to them.
5 Aun el Señor, Dios de los ejércitos; El Señor es su nombre.
But the Lord God Almighty shall be his memorial.
6 Entonces, vuelve a tu Dios; ten piedad y rectitud, y espera en todo momento a tu Dios.
You therefore shall return to your God: keep you mercy and judgment, and draw near to your God continually.
7 En cuanto a Canaán, la balanza del engaño está en sus manos; ama la opresión.
[As for] Chanaan, in his hand is a balance of unrighteousness: he has loved to tyrannize.
8 Y Efraín dijo: Ahora tengo riqueza y mucha propiedad; Nadie hallará en mi iniquidad, ni en todas mis obras se ve pecado en mí.
And Ephraim said, Nevertheless I am rich, I have found refreshment to myself. None of his labors shall be found [available] to him, by reason of the sins which he has committed.
9 Pero yo soy el Señor tu Dios de la tierra de Egipto; Te volveré a dar tiendas de campaña para vivir como en los días de la reunión solemne.
But I the Lord your God brought you up out of the land of Egypt: I will yet cause you to dwell in tabernacles, according to the days of the feast.
10 Mi palabra llegó a oídos de los profetas y multipliqué las visiones, y por boca de los profetas hice uso de parábolas.
And I will speak to the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and by the means of the prophets I was represented.
11 En Galaad hay maldad. Son absolutamente vanidad; en Gilgal hacen ofrendas de bueyes; verdaderamente sus altares son como masas de piedras en los surcos de arado.
If Galaad exists not, then the chiefs in Galaad when they sacrificed were false, and their altars were as heaps on the ground of the field.
12 Y Jacob salió en fuga al campo de Aram, e Israel se convirtió en siervo de una esposa, y para una esposa tenía ovejas.
And Jacob retreated into the plain of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and waited for a wife.
13 Y por un profeta, el Señor hizo que Israel saliera de Egipto, y por un profeta lo mantuvieron a salvo.
And the Lord brought Israel out of the land of Egypt by a prophet, and by a prophet was he preserve.
14 Efraín me irritó amargamente; por eso su sangre recaiga sobre él, y el Señor hará que su vergüenza vuelva sobre él.
Ephraim was angry and excited, therefore his blood shall be poured out upon him, and the Lord shall recompense to him his reproach.
