Génesis 9
1 Y bendijo Dios a Noé y a sus hijos, y dijo: Sean fértiles, multipliquen, y llenen la tierra.
So God blessed Noah and his sons, —and said to them Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth;
2 Temblarán y temerán delante de ustedes todas las bestias de la tierra y todas las aves del cielo; todo lo que se mueve sobre la tierra, y todos los peces del mar, son entregados en tus manos.
and let the fear of you and the dread of you be upon every living creature of the earth, and upon every bird of the heavens, —over everything that moveth along on the ground, and over all the fishes of the sea, —into your hand, have they been given.
3 Toda cosa viviente y que se mueve será alimento para ti; Se los doy a todos como antes les di todas las cosas verdes.
As for every moving thing that hath life, yours, shall it be, for food, —Like the green herb, have I given you all things.
4 pero la carne con la sangre de vida en ella no puedes tomar para comer.
Yet flesh with the life thereof, the blood thereof, shall ye not eat;
5 Y por tu sangre, que es tu vida, pediré cuentas; de toda bestia la tomaré, y del hermano de todo hombre; demandaré cuenta de la vida de un ser humano.
And surely your blood, of your lives, will I require, From the hand of every living creature, will I require it, —and from the hand of man From the hand of each one’s brother, will I require the life of man:
6 Quien quita la vida a un hombre, por su vida humana será tomada; porque Dios hizo al hombre a su imagen.
He that sheddeth man’s blood, by man, shall his blood be shed, —For, in the image of God, made he man.
7 Y ahora, sé fértil y hagan crecer al mundo; tengan descendencia en la tierra en gran número.
Ye, therefore, be fruitful and multiply, swarm in the earth and multiply therein.
8 Y Dios dijo a Noé y a sus hijos,
And God spake unto Noah, and unto his sons with him saying:
9 Yo establezco mi pacto, contigo y con tu simiente después de ti,
I, therefore, behold me! establishing my covenant with you, —and with your seed after you;
10 Y con todo ser viviente contigo, todas las aves, los animales y todas las bestias de la tierra que salgan del arca contigo.
and with every living soul that is with you, of birds, of tame-beasts and of all wild-beasts of the earth that are with you, —of all coming forth out of the ark, even to all wild-beasts of the earth;
11 Y haré mi pacto contigo; nunca más toda carne será destruida por las aguas; nunca más las aguas vendrán sobre toda la tierra para su destrucción.
yea, I will establish my covenant with you, so that all flesh shall not be cut off any more, by reason of the waters of a flood, —neither shall there be any more a flood to destroy the earth.
12 Y dijo Dios: Esta es la señal del pacto que yo establezco entre ustedes y yo, y todo ser viviente contigo, para todas las generaciones futuras:
And God said, This, is the sign of the covenant which I am granting betwixt me and you, and every living soul that is with you, —to age-abiding generations: —
13 Pondré mi arco iris en la nube, y será por señal de acuerdo entre mí y la tierra.
My bow, have I set in the cloud, —and it shall be for a sign of a covenant, betwixt me and the earth;
14 Y cuando haga venir nube sobre la tierra, se verá el arco iris en la nube,
and it shall be when I draw a veil of cloud over the earth, —and the bow in the cloud appeareth,
15 Y tendré presente el acuerdo entre tú y yo, y todo ser viviente; y nunca más habrá un gran flujo de aguas que cause destrucción a toda carne.
then will I remember my covenant which is betwixt me and you, and every living soul among all flesh, —that the waters may no more become a flood, to destroy all flesh:
16 Y el arco iris estará en la nube, y mirándola, tendré en cuenta el eterno acuerdo entre Dios y todo ser viviente sobre la tierra.
so the bow shall be in the cloud, —and I will behold it, to remember an age-abiding covenant, between God, and every living soul among all flesh that is on the earth.
17 Y Dios dijo a Noé: Esta es la señal del pacto que hice entre mí y toda carne en la tierra.
And God said unto Noah, This is the sign of the covenant which have established, between me and all flesh that is on the earth.
18 Y los hijos de Noé que salieron del arca fueron Sem, Cam y Jafet; y Cam es el padre de Canaán.
And the sons of Noah who came forth out of the ark, were—Shem and Ham and Japheth, —now, Ham, was the father of Canaan.
19 Estos tres fueron los hijos de Noé, y de ellos toda la tierra fue poblada.
These three, were the sons of Noah, —and from these, was all the earth overspread.
20 En aquellos días, Noé se hizo agricultor e hizo un huerto de vid.
And Noah began to be a husbandman, —so he planted a vineyard:
21 Y tomó del vino de ella, y fue vencido por la bebida; y él fue descubierto en su tienda.
and dank of the wine and became drunk, and uncovered himself in the midst of his tent.
22 Y Cam, padre de Canaán, vio desnudo a su padre, y se lo dijo a sus dos hermanos que estaban fuera.
And Ham the father of Canaan saw his father’s shame, —and told his two brethren outside.
23 Y Sem y Jafet tomaron una túnica, y poniéndola sobre sus espaldas entraron con sus caras vueltas, y la pusieron sobre su padre para que no lo vieran desvestido.
And Shem and Japheth took a mantle, and put it on the shoulder of them both and went backwards, and covered the shame of their father, but their faces were backwards, and the shame of their father, saw they not.
24 Y, despertando de su vino, Noé vio lo que le había hecho su hijo menor, y dijo:
And Noah awoke from his wine, —and came to know what his youngest son had done to him.
25 Maldito sea Canaán; que sea un servidor de sirvientes para sus hermanos.
And he said, Accursed be Canaan, —a servant of servants, shall he be to his brethren!
26 Y dijo: ¡Gloria a Dios, el Dios de Sem; bendice mi Dios a sem! deja que Canaán sea su sirviente.
And he said, Blessed be Yahweh, God of Shem, —And let Canaan be their servant:
27 Que Dios haga grande a Jafet, y que su lugar de vida esté en las tiendas de Sem, y que Canaán sea su siervo.
God give extension to Japheth, But make his habitation in the tents of Shem, And let Canaan be their servant.
28 Y vivió Noé trescientos cincuenta años después del gran diluvio de las aguas;
And Noah lived after the flood, —three hundred and fifty years:
29 todos los años de su vida fueron novecientos cincuenta: y llegó a su fin.
so, all the days of Noah, were—nine hundred and fifty years, —and he died.
