Génesis 4
1 Y el varón tuvo relaciones con su mujer Eva, y quedó encinta, y dio a luz a Caín, y dijo: Me ha dado un hombre él Señor.
Forsothe Adam knewe Eue his wijf, which conseyuede, and childide Cayn, and seide, Y haue gete a man bi God.
2 Entonces ella volvió a tener un hijo y dio a luz a Abel, su hermano. Y Abel era pastor de ovejas, pero Caín era granjero.
And efte sche childide his brother Abel. Forsothe Abel was a kepere of scheep, and Cayn was an erthe tilyere.
3 Y después de un tiempo, Caín le dio al Señor una ofrenda de los frutos de la tierra.
Sotheli it was don after many daies, that Cayn offride yiftis to the Lord of the fruytis of erthe;
4 Y Abel dio una ofrenda de los corderos de su rebaño y de su grasa. Y el Señor estaba complacido con la ofrenda de Abel;
and Abel offride of the first gendrid of his floc, and of the fatnesse of tho. And the Lord bihelde to Abel and to the yiftis of hym;
5 Pero en Caín y en su ofrenda no se complació. Y Caín estaba enojado y su rostro se puso triste.
sotheli he bihelde not to Cayn and to hise yiftis. And Cayn was wrooth greetli, and his cheer felde doun.
6 Y él Señor dijo a Caín: ¿Por qué estás enojado? y por qué tu cara está triste?
And the Lord seide to hym, Whi art thou wrooth, and whi felde doun thi face?
7 Si lo haces bien, ¿no tendrás honor? y si lo haces mal, el pecado te espera en la puerta, deseando tenerte, pero no dejes que sea tu amo.
Whether not if thou schalt do wel, thou schalt resseyue; but if thou doist yuele, thi synne schal be present anoon in the yatis? but the desir therof schal be vndur thee, and thou schalt be lord therof.
8 Y dijo Caín a su hermano: Pasemos al campo; y estando ellos en el campo, Caín atacó a su hermano Abel y lo mató.
And Cayn seide to Abel his brother, Go we out. And whanne thei weren in the feeld, Cayn roos ayens his brother Abel, and killide him.
9 Y él Señor dijo a Caín: ¿Dónde está tu hermano Abel? Y él dijo: No tengo idea: ¿soy el guardián de mi hermano?
And the Lord seide to Cayn, Where is Abel thi brother? Which answerde, Y woot not; whether Y am the kepere of my brothir?
10 Y él dijo: ¿Qué has hecho? la voz de la sangre de tu hermano me está llamando desde la tierra.
And God seide to Cayn, What hast thou do? the vois of the blood of thi brother crieth to me fro erthe.
11 Y ahora eres maldito de la tierra, cuya boca está abierta para recibir la sangre de tu hermano de tu mano;
Now therfor thou schalt be cursid on erthe, that openyde his mouth, and resseyuede of thin hond the blood of thi brothir.
12 La tierra ya no te dará su fruto como la recompensa de tu trabajo; serás un vagabundo errante sobre la tierra.
Whanne thou schalt worche the erthe, it schal not yyue his fruytis to thee; thou schalt be vnstable of dwellyng and fleynge aboute on erthe in alle the daies of thi lijf.
13 Y dijo Caín: Mi castigo es mayor que mi fuerza.
And Cayn seide to the Lord, My wickidnesse is more than that Y disserue foryyuenesse; lo!
14 Me has enviado hoy de la faz de la tierra y de delante de tu rostro; Voy a ser un vagabundo errante sobre la tierra, y el que me vea me matará.
to dai thou castist me out fro the face of the erthe; and Y schal be hid fro thi face, and Y schal be vnstable of dwellyng and fleynge aboute in erthe; therfore ech man that schal fynde me schal slee me.
15 Y él Señor dijo: De cierto, si muere Caín, siete vidas serán tomadas por él. Y el Señor puso una marca en Caín para que nadie lo matara.
And the Lord seide to hym, It schal not be don so, but ech man that schal slee Cayn shal be punyschid seuenfold. And the Lord settide a signe in Cayn, that ech man that schulde fynde hym schulde not slee hym.
16 Y se apartó Caín de delante de la faz del Señor, y se quedó a vivir en la tierra de Nod, al oriente del Edén.
And Cayn yede out fro the face of the Lord, and dwellide fleynge aboute in erthe, at the eest coost of Eden.
17 Y Caín tuvo relaciones con su esposa, y ella engendró y dio a luz a Enoc; y él hizo una ciudad, y le dio a la ciudad el nombre de Enoc por su hijo.
Forsothe Cayn knewe his wiif, which conseyuede, and childide Enoth; and Cayn bildide a citee, and clepide the name therof of the name of hise sone Enoth.
18 Y Enoc tuvo un hijo Irad; e Irad fue padre de Mehujael; y Mehujael padre de Metusael; y Metusael fue padre de Lamec.
Forsothe Enoth gendride Irad, and Irad gendride Manyael, and Manyael gendride Matusael, and Matusael gendride Lameth;
19 Y Lamec tuvo dos mujeres; el nombre de uno era Ada, y el nombre del otro Zila.
that took twei wyues, the name to o wijf was Ada, and the name to the tother was Sella.
20 Y Ada dio a luz a Jabal; era el padre de los que viven en tiendas y tienen ganado.
And Ada gendride Jabel, that was the fadir of dwellers in tentis and of shepherdis;
21 Y el nombre de su hermano era Jubal: él era el padre de todos los que tocan con arpa y flauta.
and the name of his brother was Tubal, he was the fadir of syngeris in harpe and orgun.
22 Y Zila dio a luz a Tubal-caín, que es el padre de todo fabricante de instrumentos de bronce y de hierro, y la hermana de Tubal-caín fue Naama.
And Sella gendride Tubalcayn, that was an hamerbetere, and smyyt on alle werkis of bras and of yrun; forsothe the sistir of Tubalcayn was Neoma.
23 Y dijo Lamec a sus mujeres, Ada y Zila, escucha mi voz; esposas de Lamec, presten atención a mis palabras, porque yo pondría a muerte a un hombre por una herida, y a un joven por un golpe;
And Lameth seide to his wyues Ada and Sella, Ye wyues of Lameth, here my vois, and herkne my word; for Y haue slayn a man bi my wounde, and a yong wexynge man bi my `violent betyng;
24 Si se quieren tomar siete vidas como castigo por la muerte de Caín, setenta y siete serán tomadas por las de Lamec.
veniaunce schal be youun seuenfold of Cayn, forsothe of Lameth seuentisithis seuensithis.
25 Y Adán volvió a tener relaciones con su esposa, y ella dio a luz a un hijo al que dio el nombre de Set, porque ella dijo: Dios me ha dado otra simiente en lugar de Abel, a quien Caín mató.
Also yit Adam knewe his wijf, and sche childide a sone, and clepide his name Seth, and seide, God hath put to me another seed for Abel, whom Cayn killide.
26 Y Set tuvo un hijo, y le dio el nombre de Enós: en este tiempo los hombres primero hicieron uso del nombre del Señor en adoración.
But also a sone was borun to Seth, which sone he clepide Enos; this Enos bigan to clepe inwardli the name of the Lord.
