Génesis 36

1 Estas son las generaciones de Esaú, es decir, Edom.

Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.

2 Las mujeres de Esaú eran mujeres de Canaán: Ada, la hija de Elón el hitita, y Aholibama, hija de Aná, hija de Zibeón el heveo,

Esau took wives from the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite,

3 Y Basemat, hija de Ismael, hermana de Nebaiot.

and Basemath, the daughter of Ishmael, sister of Nebaioth.

4 Ada tenía un hijo Elifaz; y Basemat era la madre de Reuel;

Then Adah bore Eliphaz. Basemath conceived Reuel.

5 Aholibama era la madre de Jeús, Jaalam y Coré; estos son los hijos de Esaú, cuyo nacimiento tuvo lugar en la tierra de Canaán.

Oholibamah conceived Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah. These are the sons of Esau, who were born to him in the land of Canaan.

6 Esaú tomó sus mujeres, sus hijos, sus hijas, y todo el pueblo de su casa, y sus bestias, y sus ganados, y todos sus bienes que había juntado en la tierra de Canaán, y se fue a la tierra de Seir, lejos de su hermano Jacob.

Then Esau took his wives, and sons, and daughters, and every soul of his house, and his substance, and cattle, and whatever he was able to obtain in the land of Canaan, and he went into another region, withdrawing from his brother Jacob.

7 porque su riqueza era tan grande que la tierra no era lo suficientemente amplia para ellos dos y todo su ganado.

For they were very wealthy and were not able to live together. Neither was the land of their sojourn able to sustain them, because of the multitude of their flocks.

8 Así edificó Esaú su lugar de residencia en la región montañosa de Seir (Esaú es Edom).

And Esau lived at mount Seir: he is Edom.

9 Y estas son las generaciones de Esaú, el padre de los edomitas en el monte de Seir:

So these are the generations of Esau, the father of Edom, at mount Seir,

10 Estos son los nombres de los hijos de Esaú: Elifaz, hijo de la mujer de Esaú, Ada, y Reuel, hijo de Basemath, la mujer de Esaú.

and these are the names of his sons: Eliphaz the son of Adah, the wife of Esau, likewise Reuel, the son of Basemath, his wife.

11 Los hijos de Elifaz fueron Temán, Omar, Zefo, Gatam y Cenaz.

And Eliphaz had sons: Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenez.

12 Y Elifaz, hijo de Esaú, tuvo una relación con una mujer llamada Timna, que dio a luz a Amalec; todos estos fueron hijos de Ada, la mujer de Esaú.

Now Timna was the concubine of Eliphaz, the son of Esau. And she bore him Amalek. These are the sons of Adah, the wife of Esau.

13 Y estos son los hijos de Reuel: Nahat, Zera, Sama, y Miza; fueron hijos de la mujer de Esaú, Basemat.

And the sons of Reuel were Nahath and Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These are the sons of Basemath, the wife of Esau.

14 Y estos son los hijos de Aholibama, hija de Aná, hija de Zibeón, que fué madre de Jeús, Jalam y Coré.

Likewise, these were the sons of Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, the wife of Esau, whom she bore to him: Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.

15 Estos fueron los jefes entre los hijos de Esaú: los hijos de Elifaz, el primer hijo de Esaú: Temán, Omar, Zefo, Cenaz,

These were leaders of the sons of Esau, the sons of Eliphaz, the firstborn of Esau: leader Teman, leader Omar, leader Zepho, leader Kenez,

16 Coré, Gatam, Amalec: todos estos fueron los jefes en la tierra de Edom, los hijos de Elifaz, la simiente de Ada.

leader Korah, leader Gatam, leader Amalek. These are the sons of Eliphaz, in the land of Edom, and these the sons of Adah.

17 Y estos son los hijos de Reuel, hijo de Esaú: Nahat, Zera, Sama, Miza; estos fueron los jefes de Reuel en la tierra de Edom, los hijos de Basemat, la mujer de Esaú.

Likewise, these are the sons of Reuel, the son of Esau: leader Nahath, leader Zerah, leader Shammah, leader Mizzah. And these were the leaders of Reuel, in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Basemath, the wife of Esau.

18 Y estos son los hijos de Aholibama, la mujer de Esaú: Jeús, Jalam y Coré: estos fueron los jefes que vinieron de la mujer de Esaú, Aholibama, hija de Ana.

Now these are the sons of Oholibamah, the wife of Esau: leader Jeush, leader Jalam, leader Korah. These were the leaders of Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah and the wife of Esau.

19 Estos fueron los hijos de Esaú (es decir, Edom), y éstos fueron sus jefes.

These are the sons of Esau, and these were their leaders: this is Edom.

20 Estos son los hijos de Seir el horeo que vivían en ese país; Lotán, Sobal, Zibeon, Ana,

These are the sons of Seir, the Horite, the inhabitants of the land: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,

21 Disón, Ezer y Disán: estos son los jefes de los horeos, hijos de Seir, en la tierra de Edom.

and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan. These were the leaders of the Horites, the sons of Seir, in the land of Edom.

22 Los hijos de Lotán fueron Hori y Hemam; La hermana de Lotan era Timna.

Now Lotan produced sons: Hori and Heman. But the sister of Lotan was Timna.

23 Y estos son los hijos de Sobal: Alvan, Manahat, Ebal, Sefo y Onam.

And these are the sons of Shobal: Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, and Shepho, and Onam.

24 Y estos son los hijos de Zibeón: Aja y Aná; el mismo Ana que hizo el descubrimiento de los manantiales en la tierra baldía, cuando estaba cuidando los asnos de su padre Zibeon.

And these are the sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah. This is the Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness, when he was pasturing the donkeys of his father Zibeon.

25 Y estos son los hijos de Aná: Disón y Aholibama su hija.

And he had a son Dishon, and a daughter Oholibamah.

26 Estos son los hijos de Disón: Hemdan, Esban, Itran y Queran.

And these are the sons of Dishon: Hemdan, and Esheban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

27 Estos son los hijos de Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan y Acan.

Likewise, these are the sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.

28 Estos son los hijos de Disán: Uz y Arán.

Then Dishan had sons: Uz and Aran.

29 Estos fueron los jefes de los horeos: Lotán, Sobal, Zibeón, Aná,

These were the leaders of the Horites: leader Lotan, leader Shobal, leader Zibeon, leader Anah,

30 Disón, Ezer y Disán. Tales fueron los jefes horeos en su orden en la tierra de Seir.

leader Dishon, leader Ezer, leader Disan. These were leaders of the Horites who ruled in the land of Seir.

31 Y estos son los reyes que gobernaban en la tierra de Edom antes que hubiera rey sobre los hijos de Israel.

Now before the sons of Israel had a king, the kings who ruled in the land of Edom were these:

32 Bela, hijo de Beor, fue rey en Edom, y el nombre de su ciudad principal fue Dinaba.

Bela the son of Beor, and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

33 En su muerte, Jobab, hijo de Zera de Bosra, fue rey en su lugar.

Then Bela died, and Jobab, the son of Zerah from Bozrah, reigned in his place.

34 Y a la muerte de Jobab, Husam, de la tierra de los temanitas, llegó a ser rey en su lugar.

And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.

35 Y a la muerte de Husam, Hadad, hijo de Bedad, que venció a los madianitas en el campo de Moab, llegó a ser rey; su ciudad principal fue llamada Avit.

Likewise, this one having died, Hadad the son of Bedad reigned in his place. He struck down Midian in the region of Moab. And the name of his city was Avith.

36 Y a la muerte de Hadad, Samlat de Masreca se convirtió en rey.

And when Adad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his place.

37 Y a la muerte de Samla, Saúl de Rehobot junto al río se hizo rey en su lugar.

Likewise, this one being dead, Shaul of the river Rehoboth, reigned in his place.

38 Y a la muerte de Saúl, Baal-hanán, hijo de Acbor, se hizo rey.

And when he also had passed away, Baal-hanan, the son of Achbor, succeeded to the kingdom.

39 Y en la muerte de Baal-hanan, Hadar se hizo rey en su lugar; su ciudad principal se llamaba Pau, y el nombre de su esposa era Mehetabel; ella era la hija de Matred, la hija de Mezaab.

Likewise, this one being dead, Hadar reigned in his place; and the name of his city was Pau. And his wife was called Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.

40 Estos son los nombres de los jefes de Esaú por orden de sus familias y sus lugares: Timna, Alva, Jetet,

Therefore, these were the names of the leaders of Esau, by their families, and places, and in their vocabulary: leader Timna, leader Alvah, leader Jetheth,

41 Aholibama, Elah, Pinón,

leader Oholibamah, leader Elah, leader Pinon,

42 Cenaz, Teman, Mibzar,

leader Kanez, leader Teman, leader Mibzar,

43 Magdiel, Iram; estos son los jefes edomitas, en sus lugares en su herencia; este es Esaú, el padre de los edomitas.

leader Magdiel, leader Iram. These were the leaders of Edom living in the land of their rule: this is Esau, the father of Idumea.
