Génesis 2
1 Y los cielos y la tierra y todas las cosas en ellos estaban completos.
Thus the heauens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 Y en el séptimo día, Dios vino al fin de toda su obra; y en el séptimo día tomó su descanso de todo el trabajo que había hecho.
For in the seuenth day GOD ended his worke which he had made, and the seuenth day he rested from al his worke, which he had made.
3 Y Dios bendijo al séptimo día y lo santificó, porque aquel día tomó su descanso de toda la obra que había hecho en la creación.
So God blessed the seuenth day, and sanctified it, because that in it he had rested from all his worke, which God had created and made.
4 Este es el origen del cielo y la tierra cuando fueron creados.
These are the generations of the heauens and of the earth, when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heauens,
5 En el día en que el Señor Dios hizo la tierra y el cielo, no había plantas del campo en la tierra, ni había hierba, porque el Señor Dios no había enviado lluvia sobre la tierra y no había hombre para trabajar en la tierra.
And euery plant of the fielde, before it was in the earth, and euery herbe of the field, before it grewe: for the Lord God had not caused it to raine vpon the earth, neither was there a man to till the ground,
6 Pero una neblina subió de la tierra, regando toda la faz de la tierra.
But a myst went vp from the earth, and watered all the earth.
7 Y Dios él Señor hizo al hombre del polvo de la tierra, y le dio aliento de vida; y el hombre se hizo alma viviente.
The Lord God also made the man of the dust of the grounde, and breathed in his face breath of life, and the man was a liuing soule.
8 Y Dios él Señor hizo un jardín en el oriente, en Edén; y allí puso al hombre que él había hecho.
And the Lord God planted a garden Eastward in Eden, and there he put the man whom he had made.
9 Y de la tierra Él Señor Dios hizo crecer árboles deliciosos a la vista, y bueno para comer; y en el medio del jardín, el árbol de la vida y el árbol del conocimiento del bien y del mal.
(For out of the ground made the Lord God to grow euery tree pleasant to the sight, and good for meate: the tree of life also in the mids of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and of euill.
10 Y salió un río de Edén, que daba agua al huerto; y de allí se separó y se convirtió en cuatro corrientes.
And out of Eden went a riuer to water the garden, and from thence it was deuided, and became into foure heads.
11 El nombre del primero es Pisón, que recorre toda la tierra de Havila, donde hay oro.
The name of one is Pishon: the same compasseth the whole land of Hauilah, where is golde.
12 Y el oro de aquella tierra es bueno; hay bedelio y la piedra de ónice.
And the golde of that land is good: there is Bdelium, and the Onix stone.
13 Y el nombre del segundo río es Gihón: este río rodea toda la tierra de Cus.
And the name of the seconde riuer is Gihon: the same compasseth the whole lande of Cush.
14 Y el nombre del tercer río es Tigris, que va al oriente de Asiria. Y el cuarto río es Eufrates.
The name also of the third riuer is Hiddekel: this goeth toward the Eastside of Asshur: and the fourth riuer is Perath)
15 Y el Señor Dios tomó al hombre y lo puso en el jardín del Edén para que trabaje en él y lo cuide.
Then the Lord God tooke the man, and put him into the garden of Eden, that he might dresse it and keepe it.
16 Y el Señor Dios dio órdenes al hombre, diciendo: Puedes tomar del fruto de todos los árboles del huerto.
And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Thou shalt eate freely of euery tree of the garden,
17 Pero del fruto del árbol del conocimiento del bien y del mal no puedes tomar; porque el día en que lo tomes, la muerte ciertamente vendrá a ti.
But of the tree of knowledge of good and euill, thou shalt not eate of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt die the death.
18 Y el Señor Dios dijo: No es bueno que el hombre esté solo; haré ayuda idónea como él mismo lo ayude.
Also the Lord God saide, It is not good that the man should be himself alone: I wil make him an helpe meete for him.
19 Y él Señor Dios hizo desde la tierra todas las bestias del campo, y todas las aves del cielo, y las tomó al hombre para ver los nombres que él les daría; y cualquiera que sea el nombre que dio a los seres vivientes, era su nombre.
So the Lord God formed of the earth euery beast of the fielde, and euery foule of the heauen, and brought them vnto the man to see howe he would call them: for howsoeuer the man named the liuing creature, so was the name thereof.
20 Y el hombre dio nombres a todos los animales, a las aves del cielo y a todos los animales del campo; pero Adan no tenía a nadie como él como ayuda.
The man therefore gaue names vnto all cattell, and to the foule of the heauen, and to euery beast of the fielde: but for Adam founde he not an helpe meete for him.
21 Y el Señor Dios mandó un sueño profundo sobre el hombre, y tomó uno de los huesos de su costado mientras dormía, uniendo nuevamente la carne en su lugar.
Therefore the Lord God caused an heauie sleepe to fall vpon the man, and he slept: and he tooke one of his ribbes, and closed vp the flesh in steade thereof.
22 Y el hueso que el Señor Dios le había quitado al hombre que había convertido en mujer, y la trajo al hombre.
And the ribbe which the Lord God had taken from the man, made he a woman, and brought her to the man.
23 Y el hombre dijo: Esto es ahora hueso de mis huesos y carne de mi carne: que se llame mujer, porque del varón fue quitada.
Then the man said, This now is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She shalbe called woman, because she was taken out of man.
24 Por esta causa, se apartará un hombre de su padre y de su madre, y se unirá a su mujer y ellos serán una sola carne.
Therefore shall man leaue his father and his mother, and shall cleaue to his wife, and they shall be one flesh.
25 Y el hombre y su mujer estaban sin ropa, y no tenían vergüenza.
And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
