Gálatas 5
1 Cristo realmente nos hizo libres: entonces mantén tu condición libre y que nadie te vuelva a poner el yugo de la esclavitud.
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Mira, yo Pablo te digo, que si te sometes a la circuncisión, Cristo no te servirá de nada.
Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3 doy testimonio otra vez a todo hombre que se somete a la circuncisión, que tendrá que guardar toda la ley.
For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Eres desligado de Cristo, tú que te justificas por la ley; están alejados de la gracia de Cristo, se han separado del amor de Dios.
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5 Pues nosotros por el Espíritu esperamos por la Fe la esperanza de la justicia;
For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6 Porque en Cristo Jesús, tener circuncisión o no tener la circuncisión tampoco tiene ningún beneficio; pero sólo la fe trabajando a través del amor.
For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
7 Estabas yendo bien; ¿Quién fue la causa de que no prestes atención a lo que es verdad?
Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
8 No fue cosa de Dios, que los ha llamado.
This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
9 Un poco de levadura hace un cambio en toda la masa.
A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
10 Estoy seguro acerca de ustedes en el Señor, que no serás de otra opinión; pero el que los molesta tendrá su castigo, sea quien sea.
I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
11 Pero yo, hermanos, si todavía estuviera predicando la circuncisión; los judíos no me perseguirían, ya que en ese caso el mensaje de la cruz de Cristo, no los ofendería.
And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
12 Mi deseo es que aquellos que te causan problemas se castraran a sí mismos.
I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
13 Porque ustedes, hermanos, se marcaron para ser libres; solo no hagas uso de tu condición libre para darle a la carne su oportunidad, sino que a través del amor sean siervos unos de otros.
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 Porque toda la ley se completa en una sola palabra, incluso en esto: Ten amor por tu prójimo como por ti mismo.
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 Pero si se muerden y se comen unos a otros tengan cuidado de no ser causa de destrucción el uno para el otro.
But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16 Pero yo digo: Continúen en el Espíritu, y no caerán bajo el dominio de los malos deseos de la carne.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 Porque la carne tiene deseos contra el Espíritu, y el Espíritu contra la carne; porque estos son opuestos el uno al otro; para que no hagas las cosas que tienes que hacer.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 Pero si eres guiado por el Espíritu, no estás bajo la ley.
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Ahora las obras de la carne son claras, que son éstas: adulterio, fornicación, inmundicias, lascivias,
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Adoración de imágenes, brujería, odio, pleitos, deseo por lo que otro tiene, sentimientos de ira, intentos para vencer a los demás, las divisiones, las enseñanzas falsas,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 La envidia, borracheras y los banquetes incontrolables, y cosas por el estilo: de lo cual les digo claramente, como lo hice en el pasado, que los que hacen tales cosas no tendrán parte. en el reino de Dios.
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 Pero el fruto del Espíritu es amor, gozo, paz, paciencia, actos amables, bondad, fe,
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 humildad, control sobre los deseos: contra tales no hay ley.
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 Y los que son de Cristo han dado muerte en la cruz a la carne con sus pasiones y sus malos deseos.
And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 Si estamos viviendo por el Espíritu, por el Espíritu, seamos guiados.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 No nos llenemos de gloria propia, enojándonos unos a otros, envidiándonos los unos a los otros.
Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
