Esdras 6
1 Entonces el rey Darío dio una orden y se hizo una búsqueda en la casa de los registros, donde las cosas de valor estaban almacenadas en Babilonia.
Then king Darius gave orders, and they searched in the library of the books that were laid up in Babylon,
2 Y en Ecbatana, en él palacio del rey en la tierra de Media, se encontraron con un rollo, en el cual esta declaración quedó registrada:
And there was found in Ecbatana, which is a castle in the province of Media, a book in which this record was written.
3 En el primer año de Ciro el rey, Ciro el rey hizo una orden: En relación con él templo de Dios en Jerusalén, que él templo sea reconstruido, el lugar donde hacen ofrendas, y los fundamentos para las bases también; Que tenga sesenta codos de alto y sesenta codos de ancho;
In the first year of Cyrus the king: Cyrus the king decreed, that the house of God should be built, which is in Jerusalem, in the place where they may offer sacrifices, and that they lay the foundations that may support the height of threescore cubits, and the breadth of threescore cubits,
4 Con tres líneas de grandes piedras y una línea de nuevos soportes de madera; y que el dinero necesario salga del almacén del rey;
Three rows of unpolished stones, and so rows of new timber: and the charges shall be given out of the king’s house.
5 Dejen que los recipientes de oro y plata de la casa de Dios, que Nabucodonosor tomó del Templo de Jerusalén a Babilonia, sean devueltos y devueltos al Templo de Jerusalén, cada uno en su lugar, y los pongan en su lugar en el templo de Dios.
And also let the golden and silver vessels of the temple of God, which Nabuchodonosor took out of the temple of Jerusalem, and brought to Babylon, be restored, and carried back to the temple of Jerusalem to their place, which also were placed in the temple of God.
6 Así que ahora, Tatnai, gobernante de la tierra al oeste del río, y Setar-boznai y tu gente los Afarsaqueos al oeste del río, apártense de ese lugar:
Now therefore Thathanai, governor of the country beyond the river, Stharbuzanai, and your counsellors the Apharsachites, who are beyond the river, depart far from them,
7 Que la obra de este templo de Dios continúe; que el gobernante de los judíos y sus hombres responsables levanten este templo de Dios en su lugar.
And let that temple of God be built by the governor of the Jews, and by their ancients, that they may build that house of God in its place.
8 Además, doy órdenes sobre lo que debe hacer por los hombres responsables de los judíos en relación con la reconstrucción de esta casa de Dios: la riqueza del rey, es decir, los impuestos reunidos en el otro lado del río, el dinero que se necesita se les debe dar a estos hombres sin demora, para que su trabajo no se detenga.
I also have commanded what must be done by those ancients of the Jews, that the house of God may be built, to wit, that of the king’s chest, that is, of the tribute that is paid out of the country beyond the river, the charges be diligently given to those men, lest the work be hindered.
9 Y todo lo que necesiten, becerros, ovejas y corderos, para las ofrendas quemadas al Dios del cielo, grano, sal, vino y aceite, todo lo que los sacerdotes en Jerusalén digan que es necesario, debe ser dado a día a día regularmente:
And if it shall be necessary, let calves also, and lambs, and kids, for holocausts to the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the custom of the priests that are in Jerusalem, be given them day by day, that there be no complaint in any thing.
10 Para que puedan hacer ofrendas de olor dulce al Dios del cielo, con oraciones por la vida del rey y de sus hijos.
And let them offer oblations to the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king, and of his children.
11 Y he dado órdenes de que si alguien hace algún cambio en esta palabra, uno de los maderos debe ser sacado de su casa, y él debe ser levantado y colgado al madero; y su casa ha de ser desechada a causa de esto;
And I have made a decree: That if any whosoever, shall alter this commandment, a beam be taken from his house. and set up, and he be nailed upon it, and his house be confiscated.
12 Y que el Dios que ha escogido a Jerusalén como un lugar de descanso para su nombre envíe destrucción a todos los reyes y pueblos cuyas manos están extendidas para hacer algún cambio en esto o para hacer daño a este templo de Dios en Jerusalén. Yo, Darío, he dado esta orden, que se haga prestamente.
And may the God, that hath caused his name to dwell there, destroy all kingdoms, and the people that shall put out their hand to resist, and to destroy the house of God, that is in Jerusalem. I Darius have made the decree, which I will have diligently complied with.
13 Entonces Tatnai, el gobernante de la pueblo que cruza el río Eufrates, y Setar-boznai y su gente, cumplieron a la orden dada por el rey Darío, hizo lo que había dicho con todo cuidado.
So then Thathanai, governor of the country beyond the river, and Stharbuzanai, and his counsellors diligently executed what Darius the king had commanded.
14 Y los hombres responsables de los judíos continuaron con la reconstrucción del edificio, ayudados por la enseñanza del profeta Hageo y Zacarías, el hijo de Ido. Continuaron construyendo hasta que estuvo completo, de acuerdo con la palabra del Dios de Israel y las órdenes dadas por Ciro, Darío y Artajerjes, rey de Persia.
And the ancients of the Jews built and prospered according to the prophecy of Aggeus the prophet, and of Zacharias the son of Addo: and they built and finished, by the commandment of the God of Israel, and by the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes kings of the Persians.
15 Y la construcción de esta casa se completó el tercer día del mes Adar, en el sexto año del gobierno de Darío el rey.
And they were finishing this house of God, until the third day of the month of Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of king Darius.
16 Y los hijos de Israel, los sacerdotes y los levitas, y el resto de los que habían regresado, celebraron la fiesta de la apertura del templo de Dios con alegría.
And the children of Israel, the priests and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity kept the dedication of the house of God with joy.
17 Y dieron, como ofrendas en la apertura de esta casa de Dios, cien bueyes, doscientas ovejas, cuatrocientos corderos; y por una ofrenda por el pecado para todo Israel, doce chivos, siendo el número de las tribus de Israel.
And they offered at the dedication of the house of God, a, hundred calves, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs, and for a sin offering for all Israel twelve he goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.
18 Y pusieron a los sacerdotes en sus turnos correspondientes y a los levitas en su orden, para la adoración de Dios en Jerusalén; Como está registrado en el libro de Moisés.
And they set the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their courses over the works of God in Jerusalem, as it is written in the book of Moses.
19 Y los hijos de Israel que habían regresado, celebraron la Pascua el día catorce del mes primero.
And the children of Israel of the captivity kept the phase, on the fourteenth day of the first month.
20 Porque los sacerdotes y los levitas se habían purificado juntos; todos estaban ritualmente limpios, y dieron muerte al cordero de la Pascua por todos los que habían regresado, por sus hermanos, los sacerdotes y por ellos mismos.
For all the priests and the Levites were purified as one man: all were clear to kill the phase for all the children of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and themselves.
21 Y los hijos de Israel, que habían regresado, y todos los que se habían unido a ellos, después de haberse separado de los malos caminos de la gente de la tierra para convertirse en siervos del Señor, el Dios de Israel, tomaron la pascua juntos,
And the children of Israel that were returned from captivity, and all that had separated themselves from the filthiness of the nations of the earth to them, to seek the Lord the God of Israel, did eat.
22 Y guardó con gozo la fiesta del pan sin levadura durante siete días: porque el Señor los había llenado de alegría, y convertido él corazón del rey de Asiria hacia ellos, para ayudarles en la obra de la casa de Dios, el Dios de Israel.
And they kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy, for the Lord had made them joyful, and had turned the heart of the king of Assyria to them, that he should help their hands in the work of the house of the Lord the God of Israel.
